They finally issued a full refund this week. It has only taken 2 months. I still would not attempt to hire them again
Description of Work: they were suppose to install a wheelchair ramp but after receiving a down payment demanded even more money and refused to refund the down payment after cancelling the contract within 24 hours.

The name of the customer is [member name removed] NOT [member name removed]. I do not know who [member name removed] is on this review. The story with truth is as follows: We met with [member name removed], down payment shows her name on check as we have a copy on file, and she was requesting a wheel chair ramp to be a attached to her mobile home for her husband who is ill. We agreed in principal for the amount of $1,800. This included materials and labor: ramp and carpeting as well as removing existing ramp and discarding it in a waste receptical. We arrived on a monday morning at her home and she informed us she no longer required our services as she was wanting to cancel. This was approximately 5 days after we had met with [member name removed] and she wanted a refund. We offered a refund less materials purchased, less labor to pay our workers who arrived on site for their time involved. She agreed in principal for that arrangement for the refund. Materials would be left on site for her to do with as she saw fit. Afterwards of the dollar amount we offered which was $350 of the $900 she argued that it was too low. We had three laborers and materials vested into the project which we tried to explain to her. After time passed, we refunded her money, for the full amount of $900. The reason she mentioned the dollar amount changed was AFTER she decided she wanted to paint the ramp and railing a color which was not in the initial price point estimate. We added some $300 for the painting of the ramp, (material and labor), and this is where she became upset with us and wanted it done for the price we quoted her. This is where she also decided to kick us off the jobsite regarding the increase. I do not believe the saying the customer is always right, however, i will to negotiate down to $250 but it is not good business to be allowing the consumer freebies in a for profit business in small jobs. We offered a job that was fair and reasonable in price for her and her husband but in the end, we parted ways and refunded her money to her satisfaction. We feel this review was placed purely out of spite and [member name removed] is NOT the customer which we will refer to Angies list for FRAUD and defamation of character for this review. We do not feel anything was done wrong or illegal in this transaction and in the end customer received her refund in full while my company lost out in materials purchased and labor costs for three techs for 1.5 hours each.
