(All Brands - Gas Oil & Electric) Advanced Appliance Service started when one man wanted to start a business that would take care of his family, it started with Cliff Cooper and 2 other men and 2 trucks on the road. We have been serving the Triad area since 1967 Today we have grown into 30 employees and over 25 trucks serving over 300,000 customers in 7 different counties. We still strive to have a business to take care of our family but now we have 30 different families to take care of and are very proud of our employees. If I could give this company a negative 5-star rating I would. We had a technician come to our home to repair the AC portion of our heat pump. The technician looked at the portion of the unit that is outside and determined the capacitor needed to be replaced. He did not have the properly sized one on his truck, so he rigged two separate capacitors together and said we should be fine. He never went into the house to inspect the rest of the system. An hour later, the air went out again. The very next day, I called the office and told them the unit stopped working and asked them to send someone back out. They couldn't possibly send anyone because "we can't move anyone off the schedule to fit you in." I asked to speak to a supervisor to further explain the situation. I was put on hold and the girl quickly came back and said no one was available. Yeah right. I could get an appointment two days later though! Based on that conversation, and the fact this was now 4 days without air, I called another company. A couple of days later, the other company's technician was at my home when my husband received a call from Advanced to see if they could come and look at the unit. He told them to cancel the call. The new company's technician pulled the cover off the outside unit, looked things over, and told us the capacitors replaced by Advanced were improperly wired. Really?!! I called Advanced the first thing the following morning and told them about the findings of the new company's technician. I was finally able to talk to someone in management and I indicated, considering the circumstances, I should receive a refund. I went back and forth with them, gave them all the information the new tech provided (which was extensive), received all the standard BS and was eventually told (after having to follow-up with them), nothing would be done. The best thing about this is they "made our best effort to try to make things right." Their "best effort" was to: 1. not communicate anything other than I could get an appointment for someone to come out again in two days 2. not follow up to let us know they were even thinking of sending someone out 3. call us the day the other company's technician was there to see if someone could come and look at the AC 4. tell me they called me and left a message regarding their decision. I looked at my call history and yes, they called. There was no message 5. state my request for a refund was declined 6. charge me $400 for nothing So, I'm letting you know how this company treats its customers. Oh, and by the way, they "hope that we can continue to be a trusted resource for repairs around your home." LMAO! That'll be the day!

I've had service calls from Advance for many years. By far, Walter Cruz was, without question, the absolutely top performer today. He was prompt, very clear about his objectives and reported on progress throughout. A pleasant personality, which made it easy to talk to. Advance can learn a lot about customer service by using Walter as the prototype. If service was ever requested in the future, I would ask for Walter as the technician.

This company gets contracts with American Home Shield came out to replace a bad compressor they put the new compressor in but didn't clear the line and actually braised for 4 hours or so because they didn't clear the line and contaminates we're leaking out before my eyes of course this caused the new compressor to immediately go bad as well so Cody said they would come back to (Try something else) long story short they called a week later to say I needed to replace the system. I got my neighbor involved who is a Top HVAC guy who became disabled, well then everything changes after he spoke to them after they admitted basically that they messed up and would make it right 2 weeks later I have to have American Home Shield send a new company to fix Advanced Appliance mess. Horrible Company do yourself a favor and call someone else.

Sent out plumber thru my home warranty. He stood in kitchen with hands in his pockets. Had no tools with him, not even a flashlight. Ran hot water down kitchen sink, looked at washer drain, looked under house thru foundation vent. Lied on report to home warranty so they won't cover it. Said I need new drain installed directly to the main. Said my drain was only 1 1/2" too small for modern washers. (It's a 2" drain, by code). Said there was no access to the main. How did he know??? He never went under the house. Anyway, the job he recommended would be $1000s because the drain is imbedded in concrete. Called Advanced to send another plumber who wanted to work. They wouldn't do it. Said they'd need another work order from my home warranty. The girl on the phone never asked my name, so not very interested in how her tech did. Wouldn't recommend these people at all!!

Ran snakes from the roof vent as well as bathroom sinks. Sinks were on a sanitary tee so it made it a little difficult making the snake turn 90 degrees. They cleared the slow drain and has been working fine.

They were excellent. They were quick. They knew what they were doing. They were awesome. It was through my home warranty. The quality, workmanship, timing, everything was perfect. I didn't pay for it. I have no idea what they changed. The home warranty company sent them.

We had our hot water go out and called on a Saturday morning to see if someone could come out. James was here within an hour and fixed the issue within 30 min. He was nice, professional, and very educated on what he was doing. We were very thankful for him and would be happy to do business with this company again, especially James.
