Description of Work: Greg worked with my husband to replace a damaged area around the esopagaus of the house. You can't even tell there was anything done.

Description of Work: When I called before the expiration of the coupon, I was told that, as long as I scheduled the appointment prior to that date, the coupon would be honored, even if the appointment occurred after that date. On that basis, I scheduled an appointment. When I called the day before the appointment to discuss my punch list, I was informed that the coupon would not be honored, even though the provider had previously assured me that it would be.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for Triangle Home Care. They fixed some railings on our deck and some boards on our front porch.

Description of Work: I purchased the deal in mid-March and called to make an appt in mid-April. They were booked until June 18. I took the day off work to be at home for the vendor who was to show about 8am. By 8:45 I decided to call the vendor at which point I was told that their office just moved which caused problems with their calendar and that they would get to the bottom of the issue and call me later in the afternoon. The owner called at 1:46pm that day and told me that my appt was on their calendar and that he would attend to my projects personally once we rescheduled. In the meantime, my neighbor heard my plight and was able to fix one of the most time consuming projects for me. I do not need the full 8-hour service and I have no time in the near future that I can take the day off of work to be at home when the handyman was there. I called the service to tell him this and he said to call Angie's List for a refund and that he would OK it.

Description of Work: I spoke to the gentleman before purchasing the coupon to make sure he worked in my town. He told me he did but he wouldn't be able to get to the work until after the first of the year. Well, I've not heard back from him and now the tile to match my bathroom is no longer available so I would just like to get a refund.

Description of Work: They came after a rain delay.. week or two. First repair didn't look too good where they cleaned out wood rot in a large picture window. Owner called and came out and fixed the repair so it looks better..

Description of Work: I think they outsourced to another independent contractor. When he arrived, he mentioned he had his own business. He did a good job on the refinishing...but he was distracted with another job of his where the client was unhappy and demanding his attention. It was frustrating to have him on the phone several times during our allotted time. He was very quick and when he said he was going to be done with the initial planned jobs in less than 30m (we had 2hrs), I asked him to look at a shower tile floor. He said he could fix it as well and said he could either regrout everything or just the cracked areas...I asked if he could do it all in the time allowed and he said yes. It just seemed he wanted to get out of our house asap to get back to his own business.

Description of Work: Greg came promptly when he was scheduled and got to work on recaulking our bathroom tiles. He did a great job and cleaned up afterwards. I would use him again.

Description of Work: They came out as scheduled on time. Unfortunately my chimney needed more work than anyone had anticipated so I only had Greg and his crew fix the immediate problem. In the spring I will probably have them come back out to repair the whole chimney.

Description of Work: He had a new baby, so was flustered a while. After the appt was set up, all went smoothly. My problem was fixed, some advice was given to help some other issues. Happy with the results

Description of Work: I am very pleased with the work that got done. He was able to replace all the wood on the outside of my house in a timely fashion. I had the Big Deal, but continued his services for other jobs. I would definitely reccomend this provider!

Description of Work: After playing phone tag for 2 weeks, they never showed up for 2 appointments. I understand that there was a birth in the family, so I'm trying to be understanding.

Description of Work: Had to switch out some single breakers to a double to install the whole house surge protector. (We had no open spots in our breaker panel.) They're coming back next week to do additional work - install outlets and add a new line/breaker for our home office.

Description of Work: Replaced rotten brick molding around the 2 garage doors with synthetic trim. Replaced the framing and trim around the door. Quality work! Very professional!

Description of Work: Got the $79 for 2 hrs caulk/grout work on Angie's List. Having a bit of a difficult time figuring out how to rate this.Scheduling was not a problem. Person scheduling was polite and professional. She called me back to tell me to have grout and caulk available for him to use. I emailed the company before the appt date to find out whether there was any brand/type they preferred. Never got a response. The work being done was on a small, old shower stall. After doing a lot of online research and discussing with folks at Home Depot, I bought sanded grout, even though I was told I was on the cusp of needing sanded vs. non-sanded. All the old nasty grout was removed and new put in BUT it's pretty messy looking in some areas ... particularly in the corner seams where one wall meets another. Those grout seams are really wide and there's a ton of grout in the bottom corners where the walls meet the floor. I'm not sure why caulk wasn't used as I had that available. In fact, he didn't use any caulk, anywhere. The other thing I thought was weird was that he wiped some grout over the acrylic seal that fastens the glass shower door to the wall. Yes, the clear seal had gotten moldy as well and I guess this was a way to cover it up, but it looks like someone has smeared white paint all down the seal. Bottom line, does the shower look better than it did? Yes, because the mold is gone. Does it look good? No, it looks like it was done in a hurry. I don't care that much since we'll be re-doing the bathroom completely sometime over the next year or two, but if this is any indication of the quality of all of his work, I won't be using him for the "reno".

Description of Work: Greg came over and cleaned out our dryer hose to improve drying time. He showed us that we can do it ourselves in the future. He has done carpentry work for us in the past - replaced rotting wood - and did a very good job at a reasonable price.
