TAYLOR'S CLEANING & RESTORATION

About us

I am a Licensed North Carolina General Contractor. Neil Taylor is the owner who holds his own contractors license. Most of my competitors employ someone who has transferred their license into the companies name. I would suggest you go to http://www.nclbgc.org/ search your contractor and then search who qualified for the license. If the owner of the company is not on that list do you want them on your job? I will personally oversee your job.

The owner answered the phone and they got a good rating on Google that's why I used them.

Per the above, Mr. Taylor and his people kept making suggestions to make the installation professional and add value to the house.

I have water damage in my bathroom and I have been calling restoration companies to get estimates on what needs to be done. I called this company after finding them via a google search.
The woman with whom I spoke almost immediately asked me what plumbing company referred me to their company. When I told her that I hadn't been referred, she immediately became flustered and said that they didn't work that way (i.e., they only wanted to work as a referral from a plumbing company). In the end, she grudgingly said that she would have someone call me- 3 weeks later, and I haven't heard a word.
If your business model solely involves referrals from plumbing companies, that's fine- but then you might not want to have a website that is available to the public. Better yet, you might not want to run paid google ads which might lead someone to believe you actually want their business, no strings attached.
I have since met with other companies and will be moving forward with complete restoration/renovation of my bathroom shortly. Water damage is hopefully something that I won't have to deal with very often, but I would absolutely not use Taylor's and would tell that to others as well.

Neil and his team had to remove all interior walls and ceiling, hardwood floors, ceramic tiles, all interior doors, light fixtures. carpets and padding, all kitchen and bath cabinets. The interior had to be stripped completely down to studs and floor joists including all heating / AC duct work. the house had to be totally dried out which required high volume air circulation and ventilation. Finally the entire inside had to be protected from mold and mildew by completely fumigating the house with anti-fungus / mildew materials.
One can not imagine the massive undertaking this included. Neil put his entire team on this and completed this task on time and on budget.
Neil Taylor and his team are A-1 rated and it just could not get any better that this

The toilet over flowed upstairs and the ceiling fell in. Their was water everywhere. They came right over, within an hour. They did great at removing the water. We contracted with them to re-do the ceilings, walls and hallway. They did superb work. The painting and fixing eveything up went really well. We installed hardwood floors. Everyone that came and all the sub-contractors did a great job. I was very pleased with the work. They were very prompt with our emergency. They brought in huge trucks and machines to suck up the water. They made me feel good that they dropped everything and came. It was fantastic. They did a great job. A couple of times they did cancel due to weather and another emergency but it was okay because they did good work.

We are very happy with Neil's work. He responded to the scene within 30 minutes. His crew and assistants were all very professional. The drywall, painting and flooring guys were courteous and took pride in their work. The match between new textured ceiling and the existing ceiling was perfect. The color match with adjoining hardwood flooring was excellent. The paint job was clean and thorough.

Neil Taylor came to my house and had a crew there within an hour of the call. He placed fans and dehumidfiers and tore out wet sheetrock. When areas were dry, they began replacing sheetrock. Most of my belongings had to be packed and removed so all hardwoods could be refinished. Taylor's repainted most of interior once the refinishing was complete. They also removed wet insulation and replaced where appropriate. The workers all did quality work.
