They were supposed to start April 4th with the first phase of the project to remove debris. We gave them the first part of the payment and then they delayed for one week. They only planted 151 perennials, 166 shrubs, and they did plant all 16 ornamental trees. As of June 11th they walked off the job without it being complete. Some of the plants were planted incorrectly. They planted plants that were not conducive to the environment that they were planted in. The plants are dying because of being planted in non amended soil and too much sunlight. One area they were suppose to plant they never even touched and it is to late to do anything with that area. They would blame their tardiness and lack of work on us because they were not able to purchase the plants due to the time of year. They would not provide an email address to contact them to give other options on the plants. We had to hire a master gardener to give an evaluation on the plants since this. The plants have gotten a fungus due to the way they were planted. Although they were knowledgeable about plants they lacked in knowing how to care and treat them.
Description of Work: They were supposed to remove all the yard debris. They were supposed to transplant existing bushes that would interfere with the design. They were suppose to plant 225 perenials, 282 shrubs and 16 ornamental treas. They were supposed to put down 6 yards of topsoil mix and 8 yards of mulch. This was supposed to have been finished by April, 27th per the contract.

Response from Stonewall Gardens Design and Maintenance
What the customer has omitted, is that they breached our signed contract, at which point we were advised to walk away from this project. All obligations to the customer were met at the time of the breach of contract. All plant material used were professionally planted in amended soil and conducive to our environment if properly maintained. The customer disregarded our advice on how to maintain the plant material, as was evidenced by our final walkthrough. The customer's only recourse was this malicious critique, which speaks more to his shortcomings than to ours.
