Called Schwartz on a Sunday morning and Eddie came by about 90 mins later. He was excellent. He was very upfront that there is a standard $200 fee for Sunday work. He took a look at my unit and diagnosed the problem quickly. It just needed to be flushed so that the thermostat could work okay. Highly recommend.

I called when I had no hot water for shower, and checked in garage at 8 a.m., and found water on the floor and a leak at water heater. I was told that it may be after 5 before they have anyone available, but would call back if sooner. The service technician was here in 15 minutes and repaired the pipe efficiently and quickly. After he left, the pilot light went out and there was no hot water. I called and the boss came out personally and reset the pilot light, within 30 minutes. Every time I deal with these people I am more impressed with their service and their business. I highly recommend Schwartz Plumbing and thank them for the work they do and their decency in providing a service when needed.

Stuart the owner personally came out and assessed the problem and provided a written estimate. He was true to his word and honored the price. A guarantee was provided for the work. The guys worked very hard to minimize damage to the landscape. Stuart is very personable and his plumbers were very professional. I would definitely use this company again. Stuart is an honest man and hires honest hardworking people.

I hired Schwartz plumbing to replace three toilets with a pressure assist toilets. They replaced it will toilets that sit too high, not comfortable at all. They broke tiles around one of the toilets and din't tell me and I found out after they left. They did not add the bidet back on that was on the previous toilet. They did not replace the $2 cut-off valve, which would be normal and demanded $150 to replace it. The guy was rude and acted as if they were doing me a favor, not providing services they were hired and work paid to perform.

"I'm sorry the home owner feels this way. Please let me respond with out exaggerations. The home owner picked out the toilets per our recommendations. The tiles were loose and not grouted under the bowl of one of the original toilets. The base of the new toilet was smaller and exposed the loose tiles we took photos as well. The homeowner told us that the bidet valve was leaking prior to us doing the job. The homeowner also stated that this item was purchased online. We called our wholesalers that we deal with and no one could find the parts so we left it disconnected .We replaced the escutcheons as discussed in the initial phone conversation . The homeowner then asked us to replace the stops on the toilets which by the way is NOT a 2 dollar part . We would have been glad to do the extra work but he wanted it for free and was not willing to pay for the extra labor and parts. The stop replacements would have entailed the water being shut off to the home and draining the house down, remove the stop, hoping there is enough pipe sticking out of the wall to do so and turn water back on and remove air from all fixtures in the home. This takes a good hour of time to do and it is our position that the homeowner was trying to get something for nothing. The technicians called in during the job and stated this was not going to go well, as the home owner was extremely difficult to deal with. Replacing the stop was NOT part of the job in question.We try to work well with everyone but sometimes it does not work out. The homeowner asked us to quote him on a 50 gallon direct vent natural gas heater and said he would call back to have us do it but we never heard back. Regards, Stuart Schwartz"

Everyone I spoke to at Schwartz was very pleasant and professional. Schwartz correctly identified the problem with the tub (something in the tub faucet needed to be replaced), and fixed the tub faucet. With respect to the recirculation pump, Schwartz did a great job for the best price for which I received quotes (I got 3 quotes in total).

Tech that came out (James) went above and beyond to take care of us. He spent a good amount of time diagnosing the problem. He tried the least expensive options first and kept us informed as he worked. The easy fixes didn't help. He took the time to explain (in whatever level of detail we wanted) what was wrong. He told us that the unit's internal pump was broken. He checked around for replacement pumps but unfortunately there were none available in the short run. Finally, he talked it over with us to see how we wanted to proceed. We asked what our options were especially given the date and how close it was to Christmas. He gave us our options and what we could expect concerning the timing. Given our current unit was 8 or 9 years old we specifically asked if getting an entirely new unit was possible. We understood it would be expensive. We just wanted hot water before Christmas! The tech (James) gave us a quote for both options. He made sure we knew that replacing the pump would be much less expensive but that ordering the pump would take two or three days. We asked if a new unit was available. He checked the stock, saw it was in stock, and confirmed that he could install a new unit the next day. (Again, he reminded us that it would be significantly more expensive to replace the unit but we just wanted hot water ASAP.) The tech (James) installed the new unit the next day and by the end of the day we had hot water!! Overall, I think this was the best experience we've ever had with this type of problem. I would use Schwartz Plumbing again with hesitation.
