"The price was increased when you changed the product and the scope of work. The paint you wanted to use was not recommended by Five Star or Sherwin Williams. Both of us explained to you that this was not the right paint for your substrate. You insisted on using the wrong product so we removed the warranty on that product. We have a signed contracting stating that there is no warranty on that product due to the fact you wanted to use it on a substrate where it was not recommended. Therefore the peeling paint is on you. We also have a signed contract to this effect. Sherwin Williams and Five Star tried to help rectify the situation even though we were not at fault in anyway. You refused all help from wither party and now there is nothing more we can further do for you. We are sorry you are unhappy with the results but SW and Five Star tried to steer you clear of problems down the road but you did not want to hear it at the time."

"Yes, this is true about the floors. We did damage the floors and took every step to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. After we determined we did scratch the floors moving their refrigerator with damaged wheels we offered every way in the world to repair them. I sent over 3 flooring companies to get them quotes on repairing the floors which they refused. They did not want any contractor I was able to refer to them. I work with 5 flooring companies so that relationship afforded me a quicker turn around than them doing research on a company, picking the company and then waiting months to do the work. I tried to get the repair on the floors done immediately and they refused my help in ever way possible. The scratches in the floor was so small no company would do the work. So every time I called them about the status of the floors, they said they were waiting on quotes. those quotes never came in. So what normally would have taken 1 week or possibly 2 took over 6 months. During this time I expected some sort of communication on what was happening with the floor repair and was only met with hostility and all communications from them seemed to stop. After 8 months they finally decided on a company and had the work done and alerted me of the price. This was deducted from the balance and the job was completed. We maintain a 4.5 star rating because we do what we say we are going to do. This is a clear example of some one not letting us take care of an issue and trying to do this themselves. This could have been repaired in a week or two and not had it draw out 8 months. There is really no reason to blame Five Star for that and everything in between. We have 4.5 stars on Google and 4.2 on Yelp. No matter how you look it up. We strive to make every customer happy at all times and this one did not go our way. But we were willing to do everything we could to remedy the situation. The price we got a C but they got 4 estimates and awarded it to me. Quality, we had 4 touch ups on a whole house paint which we took care of on the last day walk thru. Responsiveness A, well that is true. We stayed in constant communication with the customer to remedy the situation. Punctuality D, we were on time every day so we are not sure why this is a D. Professionalism F, We understand you are mad about the floors but shutting us out of the situation and taking 8 months to remedy it yourself is not the fault of Five Star. We could have it done in 2 weeks with your approval. So again, we are sorry about this one but we did try in every way to help you thru this process and we are so sorry to have scratched the floors."

"The streaks all over the house were caused as we got caught in the rain. We corrected those immediately to your approval on the final walk thru. Sections of the front porch were missed but during the walk thru and the touch ups, the whole front porch was completed and approved in the final walk thru. I am not sure about the screws as we only did 1 repair on the house and no screws were used. I understand you were frustrated with the color of your deck that you choose and that is probably the real reason for this review and this is also the one thing you did not mention in your review. We strive to make everyone happy and we are so sorry you did not like the color you picked for you deck. We did complete the house to your approval and received payment. This is the 6th house we have painted on this street over the last couple of years and all have gone perfectly. Again sorry for any stress you were caused as we really tried to make you happy. Sometimes things do not always go perfectly."
