Description of Work: When I called Audio Advice, the provider I spoke to seemed to automatically assume I wouldn't be able to purchase their service. I have a young sounding voice. He seemed unwilling to actually come by for their free estimate. we finally scheduled something, but I called the next day to try to reschedule. He then just emailed me giving me a broad range of how much it would cost. period.

 + 1 moreInstaller was very friendly and knowledgeable. Promised to provide a quote by next business day. Followed up two weeks later after not receiving a quote and received a response that it was being worked. It is now four weeks since the onsite visit and no quote was delivered. We opted to go with another provider.
Description of Work: Audio Advice did an onsite scoping of a screen porch TV installation and cable runs for audio and video.

 + 0 moreUpdate: the owner, Mr. Leon Shaw, contacted me to personally follow up on the speaker mounting issue. He could not have been more friendly and gracious. The issue was taken care of promptly. I appreciate Audio Advice's customer satisfaction driven attitude and I've updated my ratings accordingly.
Description of Work: I engaged Audio Advice for a home I had just bought to: | |1) Wiring for audio/video/power to surround speakers, screen & projector. |2) Mount 4 surround speakers. |3) Mount projection screen & projector. | |The install of the screen and projector went well. The overall finish was clean and professional and everything worked as expected. The screen installed was a fairly new and advanced model that they had not installed before so it took some careful reading and planning by the installers to make sure it was done right and they did that well. | |There were two minor issues that were a little frustrating however, that prevent me from giving an A rating. I expect the best from Audio Advice and they charge accordingly. Communication leading up to the install date was inconsistent - the project lead was difficult to contact and the initially projected timeframe was not met. When the pre-wire was scheduled I arranged to be home so that I could be sure that all of the locations were correctly laid out. One of the rear speaker locations was drilled far higher than I requested, about 2' higher than the other. I pointed it out and the installer said they would correct when the install was done. It was adjusted, but still not level with the other one. In my opinion that is inexcusably sloppy for a simple thing, and I expect better from any installer much less a high end store like Audio Advice. |

 + 0 moreAs part of our home renovation, we hired Audio Advice to upgrade the electronics throughout the house. We were pleasantly surprised with their professional manner, their knowledgeable staff and their commitment to customer service. Chip, the sales manager who handled our account, provided a proposal based on our needs and budget, scheduled the initial installation and the final installation and was very diligence in his follow up on the progress of our project. The technicians showed up on time, were extremely efficient as they worked and installed all of the wiring and networking flawlessly. Being an older home with plaster walls and unique details of the era presented numerous challenges. Audio Advice was very much up for the task, completing the assignment completely to our satisfaction, on time and on budget. Furthermore, their workers always arrived on time, were respectful of our valuables, and took pride in their work. We have absolutely no complaints. We are very pleased with their work and highly recommend the company.
Description of Work: We have an approximately 5,600 square foot home originally built in 1890. We hired Audio Advice to install ceiling speakers, internet and telephone access and a security system throughout the house.

 + -1 moreThey are awesome. They really know their stuff. I have a very botched home audio system that was attached to my TV. It was a sound system for my house that was installed in the wrong way and we have been piece by piece correcting it. They are just great. They charge me by the hour to have something fixed but they did such a good job I was glad to pay it. I've used the Geek Squad and there is no comparison. They were fantastic. I am satisfied. I would say they are expensive but worth it.

 + 0 moreThis was a two day job. The first day they showed up on time and the guys got to work running all the cabling required for the home theater, internet, and alarm system. The next day the team showed up and installed all the components and spent the time showing me how to operate everything. The install was beautiful all wires hidden and out of sight and the simplicity of the control system was just great. Earlier on they had realized that the components cabinet they had selected wasn't going to work in the space. So, they had someone running all over town looking for a solution, which they found and installed keeping the project on schedule.

 + 1 moreIt was impeccably done, almost beyond what we could hope. The follow-through was amazing. Mel Lewis explained all of the technical aspects very clearly, so that we understood our new system and how to use it.
Description of Work: They put in my system. It was an extensive HDTV installed throughout the house and internet.
