Description of Work: I wrote a detailed review about the problems we had but it never posted. Not at all happy with our experience. Lots of damage, move took way too long, supervisor complained the whole time, and they didn't move my piano which I specifically advised I wanted placed upstairs and which is why I had a crew of 5. Charged way more than movers who did the first half of the move and damaged way more property.

Description of Work: I will attribute my terrible experience to a bad crew hopefully not a bad company. I've moved 7 times in the last 16 years. This is only the second time I've had furniture damaged. | |I am terrible with names but the woman who assisted me on the phone when I called initially was great as was the gentleman who came and did a walk through of my home to give me an estimate. That same gentleman also let me know my front load washer needed appliance bolts to be moved safely. Since my washer/dryer set was new and quite costly I was very appreciative. I didn't have the bolts so I agreed to pay extra for the appliance service. Unfortunately, that is where my good experience ended. | |I paid for 3 men. I really only got 2. The one gentleman looked like he had a terribly rough night (or terrible fun night since his hangover was apparent). Mr. Rough wrapped my 8 table chairs well but that was it. Mr. Rough spent most of the rest of the time in my bathroom (they had to open my windows upstairs the smell was so bad, I wish I was kidding) or watching the one man in charge move things. Mr. Rough wrapped the top but not the bottom of a few pieces and some pieces didn't get wrapped at all (as I learned when they unloaded the truck). Due to poor or no wrapping, my solid cherry Harden bed frame arrived cracked/broken and there was a good sized chunk of the bottom of my Pottery Barn buffet splintered off. I got a "hmmm" when I pointed out the damage to the buffet. I didn't see the damage to the bed frame until later as it was unloaded into the garage along with 95% of the boxes and a few other furniture pieces. Mr. Rough was apparently related to the gentleman in charge. I'm guessing that is how Mr. Rough got his job since based on what observed he didn't deserve to be hired. | |The appliance service was another problem. No appliance man was scheduled. When I called I was told they did not have an appliance person available but it was not a problem. They would stuff a bunch of blankets in it (they do it all the time so I was told). I told them I wasn't okay with that and if they insisted on moving the washer in that manner they would have to send me an email confirming they would pay for a new one if my washer was damaged during shipping. I received a call from an appliance service person about 10 minutes after that phone call. Gee, I must have gotten lucky. | |My move took over 6 hours. Absurd. I moved from a two story townhome into a ranch for this move. I didn't ask them to put the one bed set back together and 60% of the items stayed in the garage. My previous move, into my townhouse, took 5 hours total and that involved collecting items in a third floor storage unit then going to my third floor 1 bedroom rental apartment to gather the rest of my belongings. Gentle Giant was the company I used for my 2 previous moves. They were awesome. I wanted to use them again but they were not available the weekend I could move. Unfortunate for me. | |As I mentioned, I suspect I got a really terrible crew from what may be a good company based on all the Angie's List reviews I read. Still, because of my experience I absolutely will not use them for another move and cannot recommend them.

Description of Work: They moved our belongings from our old house to our new house. It took three guys nine hours to move our things. They did a great job wrapping the furniture and making sure none of it got damaged. One guy did have a mishap where the dolly fell into the wall and left some scratches. Other than that it went well. We still have belongings in a storage unit that we need moving so we have Easy Movers set up to help us again.

Description of Work: They packed my home to transfer the boxed belongings and furniture to our retirement apartment in the same city. Excellent service. They set up in the new quarters and everything arrived in good shape.

Description of Work: The logistics coordinator was very knowledgeable and experienced and walked me through the estimate & tips for making sure everything would fit in the truck for one trip. The packers/movers called ahead to let me know when they would arrive & got a 4BR house loaded in one day staying as long as necessary to get it done. They were courteous & professional and spent the time to reassemble furniture and place it where I wanted it at the destination.

Description of Work: Arrived on time. Were very efficient, hard working, and wrapped the furniture well. One minor item was damaged during the move, and a few boxes were crushed because they stacked heavy items on top of lighter items, but significant damage. Crew was polite and friendly. Final cost was almost exactly equal to the estimate. I would use them again.

Description of Work: They moved our entire household belongings from NC to GA. Everything was wrapped well and arrived in excellent condition. They kept careful inventory. The two workers were diligent and strived to please. The price was reasonable. Definitely recommend!

Description of Work: The person I talked to on the phone was very helpful in scheduling this small moving job. The movers showed up precisely on time and were very professional. My furniture was moved perfectly and without scratching the furniture or my floors.

Description of Work: I had interviewed a number of moving companies prior to contacting Easy Mover's. I had been incredibly frustrated with those experiences: a couple of companies did not return my calls, one company was just not listening to what I wanted and one company rescheduled, did not show up and then showed up late. When the representative from Easy Mover's came, he was on time, compassionate, professional and knew his stuff!! From that moment, I was not disappointed with the services provided. There were a couple of minor damages in the move, but those were addressed and resolved punctually. |Their cost was comparable to other companies. We moved from our home of 25 years in Charlotte, NC to a home in the Richmond, VA area. This was a tough move and Easy Mover's made the physical part of the move less stressful. Thank you to the entire team that cared for us during our move!!
