From start to finish, I was extremely satisfied with Easy Movers. Their estimate was accurate and thorough, they were punctual and professional on the day of the move, and worked very hard/at a reasonable pace all day. The team was very careful with our furniture, and nothing was damaged. They absolutely took the stress out of moving day.

BEWARE THIS COMPANY'S HIGH RATINGS!!! Through the estimate process the representative was very helpful and responsive. He answered concerns, came to the house, and provided a full walkthrough which resulted in an agreed-upon maximum charge. The company quoted an hourly rate not to exceed the maximum quoted price. The representatives we spoke to were very helpful, friendly, and responsive. The company also touted its reputation on Angie's list. Our move day came and from the start we were aprehensive. Two of three men that arrived at our house were shabbily dressed, unclean, ungroomed, and uneducated. The crew's leader smelled of smoke and was on his cell phone and smoked cigarettes while unloading the truck (though not in the house). At one point my wife overheard a phone conversation in which he discussed plans for what to do when a friend got out of prison along with the terms of his parole!. While unclear whether our mover was a prisoner himself, he came off very rough, seemed very familiar with the justice system, and felt no discomfort having personal conversations while the move was going on. They took care to wrap our furniture with pads and blankets, but moved extremely slowly while doing so. We came off with the impression that the care they took was a prime way to ensure that our full alotment of time was used up during the day. One of the other movers, who was on his first job, had pants that were hanging down to his knees, which made it difficult for him to move quickly or carry the furniture. He consistently knocked furniture against walls, rarely spoke, and didn't make any extra efforts to make sure that boxes and furniture arrived in the correct room. We had to request that he relocate several items after he already set them down. The third mover was not in charge of the truck, but was by far the hardest working and most responsible. He was better groomed, but still rough looking. He was concientous and careful with our things - I suggest that he find another company to work for that has stricter hiring standards! Overall Easy Movers did the contracted job without damaging our items, but the lack of professionalism would prevent me from ever considering hiring them again.

I had my 3 bedroom apartment packed one day, and was moved the next. On the day of the move, we were supposed to also go to my storage unit to move the items in that as well - unfortunately, I lost the key and was unable to access the unit. Easy Movers quickly rebooked me for a second "mini" move 3 days later, allowing me to move completely into my new home and out of the storage unit. The movers were efficient. I have moved several times and I have never had my belonging wrapped so carefully as the Easy Movers did. I had no scratches or damage to my new home - and the entire first floor is hardwood. In particular, I appreciate their efficiency and flexibility and their good care of my belongings. In addition, they estimated (after coming to my apartment to review my moving needs) about $1900 for the move, and I paid significantly less than that, despite the whole storage unit snafu.

Overall, the move went better than I imagined. I had never moved out of state with professional movers, so I was a bit apprehensive. I would trust John Shaver, the crew chief over and over again. He was extremely professional and knowledgable and did the best possible in making it a painless process. The guys were all very nice and the move went very well. I would have liked the packing and loading to have gone quicker, because that added a little stress to everything. I was worried about the movers driving while exhausted AND about us having to make the drive also after an exhausting day. In the end, we got to our new home about 2 hours before the movers did. Two of the guys drove down from Charlotte (John and 1 helper). Easy Movers hired 2 guys from a local moving company to help unload. They were excellent! (Momma's Choice Movers in Tampa, FL). Everything was unloaded in about 3 1/2 hours. Breakage? A dolly fell over and damaged our entertainment center, a glass bowl was broken and two screws were missing from our TV that attaches it to the based. Not bad, I don't think, for a move of our size and out of state. I would use Easy Movers again and I would also use Momma's Choice Movers in Tampa. But - I hope I never have to move again!!!!

Personnel very professional, caring, helpful and careful with moving items. Movers travel from destination to destination was to long, 45-50 min for distance of 9 miles in South Charlotte.

Arrived on time, worked quickly and carefully. No damage to hardwood floors (nearly the entire house was hardwoods) or furniture.

My husband had used this company for a move before 2006. Their estimate was very close to the actual cost, the employees were very professional and polite, all furniture was wrapped in protective blankets to prevent or minimze damage, and one antique gold leaf mirror was placed in a custom-made wooden casing to insure delivery with no damage. The men worked very hard for us and we were extremely pleased with the move and the condition of our furniture upon arrival. They will be the first company we call when we need to move again!

The team I had was exceptional. Of the transition from my old home to my new home this was by far the easiest and less stressful. The three men were extremely polite and overly accommodating. Nothing damaged, and I had a treadmill and newly refinished floors to work around. I cannot recommend them enough. I am calling their boss today to tell them how pleased we were.

The customer service people were cordial, friendly, and helpful whenever I called. The movers themselves were very polite and extremely helpful. They took their time making sure the items were numbered and the paperwork was in order. My only negative was that they were later than they said they would be to pick up. However, I did plan on that so it was not an inconvenience. They did arrive as advised at the other end and were just as helpful and courteous at that end.

It seemed pretty average for a moving company. We would probably use them again.

They did an excellent job. They were prompt and they worked very hard. The crew was big enough to do the job. They were very professional. They covered the floors, wrapped the furniture and they really ensured that they'd be no damage.

I have been slowly going through boxes and am very happy to say that I've had no breakage and no dings to my furniture. Would definitely recommend.

The crew was two very experienced workers and a newbie. They called to tell me they were delayed in traffic which I appreciated and they set right to work when they arrived. They were all very polite and worked very effeciently. I was very impressed by how quickly and carefully the two experienced guys worked. The newbie glanced a door frame a time or two, but nothing that caused serious damage. Everyone has to cut their teeth somewhere. The only odd part of the experience was that the office had given them a map that was supposed to be the route from our house to the apartment, but it was to someplace completely different. They had to folllow me.

They were very good. They were very polite and efficient. They had enough people to do the job. The workers were polite, clean and efficient. I would recommend them to others. I would use their services again in the future.

I got an offer through Angie's List which I used. The job went very well and they were very professional. I liked how professional and courteous they were. They were timely and didn't waste any time. They took great care in wrapping and moving things and nothing was damaged or ruined.

I don’t remember how much I spent. They were punctual. They worked quickly. They were very nice and very personable. We had an issue with the refrigerator having some scrape mark on it and they took care of it immediately. They were very good about taking care of it. I don’t remember exactly what the issue was but I remember it was well taken care of and we were happy with it. The price was fair. It wasn’t the lowest when we researched but I remember thinking that it was definitely a fair price. I would use their services again in the future.

My experience was unbelievably awful and I wanted you and your readers to know about it. My initial contact with the company was very professional and informative. My packers were on time and did a very nice job (nothing they packed was broken when it arrived at my new home). That is where the good experience ended. The actual movers and driver initially arrived at my home late. There was no phone call to explain they were running behind, nor an apology when they finally arrived. They were extremely unprofessional in their appearance and interaction with me. One even had the audacity to remind me that if I was going to tip them not to put it on the credit card with my moving charges because they would be taxed on it! I was not home when they delivered my furniture and belongings the next day, but my mother and husband were present. The movers proceeded to continue their extremely unprofessional behavior and were condescending towards my mother. The did not protect our brand new floors and walls as I had specifically requested. They continued to move our items in during a rain storm, tracking dirt and mud into our new home. They only stopped when my husband asked them to call their supervisor and ask to take a break. Even then they still did not want to stop and were overly focused on their time card and getting back to Charlotte. However, the last straw was when they made lewd comments and cat calls to our nanny and made her so uncomfortable that she had to leave our home. I have moved a number of times and have NEVER worked with such unprofessional movers. I am SHOCKED that Easy Movers is rated so highly on Angie's List.

The move went very well. The crew arrived right when they were scheduled and quickly got to work .They explained all their services and insurance options (which we didn't need - no damage to speak of) and were careful to wrap up and protect glass items we had not packed. After loading up, they followed us to our storage unit close by so we could add another 20 boxes or so to the truck. Once finished, they got to our new home and started unloading. Everything went really smoothly. They originally quoted us 6.5 hours and it took 6 hours, so they were spot on. Very easy to work with and able to place our furniture and boxes in all the rooms we requested.

Easy Movers moved me again in 2010. They met me at my sotrage facility in North Charlotte and removed all the items they ahd dropped off there a year earlier. We then went to my apartment in South Charlotte and picked up all the items there. FInally we arrived at my new home. They do a great job of covering the floors and making sure no damage is done on the way into the house. They clean up when done, have polite people, and are friendly. I had one item that need repair after the move and that was a loose light in a china cabinet - they sent a repair person right out and took care of it. Great company and people.

Everything went as expected. They called ahead to let me know they were actually going to be early. They completed the move in a timely fashion. The gentlemen were very friendly. They went above and beyond to move a heavy piece of furniture out of an awkward place. I wouldn't expect them to have moved that, and he did set my expectations up front that it would be very difficult. (I did not have a consultant come to the house prior to the move so the movers were unaware of what needed to be moved).

On both occasions, I found the price to be reasonable, and the service to be excellent. Everything went great. They did exactly what they said they would do. They were very professional and prompt.

Mack, Mario, Marcus and Michael from Easy Movers showed up on time. Throughout the move these gentlemen showed nothing but professionalism, never complaining to my demands during the move, and the move was not an easy one for a local move, taking close to 10 hrs plus to finish. The pace was steady and there was always constant communication about where and what needed to be done. At the end of this particular long day, they never once showed any less enthusiasm about working, and its hard work. In conclusion, I would highly recommend you use Easy Movers for your move, because I saw nothing but complete respect for our items and nothing but the most positive attitude for the the job to be done.
