Easy Movers Inc

After finding the company on Angies list and reading other reviews, we made contact with Easy Movers and set up an estimation. A staff member came by our house for a quick visual survey and a run down of everything that was going to be moved in order to get a more approximate estimation. Once we got our estimation we were ready to go. The guys showed up on Friday June 12th at the time they anticipated and we received a call ahead of time with a more approximate time for their arrival. When the guys arrived, they introduced themselves and got right to work. It only took them a couple of hours to load all of our belongings, they made it look so simple. They took extra care in wrapping up our furniture in plastic wrap and moving blankets so that they stayed safe during the transport. Once they finished loading the truck, they left and were going to meet us at our new house in Virginia the next day. When they arrived the next day, it was a little later than they had told us the day before so we had to spend a little while waiting around ready for the truck to show up at any time. But when they got there, we were greeted by the same guys who had helped us the day before and they got right to work. The set up some of our furniture, like bed frames, without us asking which was great. They unloaded the truck in just a couple of hours and really helped put the items in the correct rooms. Through our unpacking, we only found 1 item that had been broken. Once we received our bill, we were pleased to find out that our estimation given to us earlier was higher than what we were actually charged which was a GOOD surprise! We would definitely recommend Easy Movers to anyone in the future.

A tough day all around. We had to be out of the home by 4pm (the time of our Sale/Closing) and they committed to show up between 8-9. They didn't ... eventually arrived around noon. When they did, the guys doing the work told us that the job was much bigger than they expected. We experienced a lot of stress wondering when they might actually show up, and when they did, it felt very rushed. They normally inventory each item loaded - but told us they didn't have time to do that if we wanted to get load that day. The crew did a good job, but we were late getting out of the house and had to negotiate an extension from our buyers. The crew met us the next day in Hendersonville and put all our stuff in two storage units. Again, they did a good job. My biggest complaints: Not showing up when promised really added to the stress of a very difficult day. And, when I talked to the owner about it, he spent a lot of time telling me how difficult the moving business is and how much customers like his company. That may be true, but what I needed to hear were not excuses - but an acknowledgment of mistakes made in timing and resources committed to the job. Bottom line, felt like we paid a premium for the move and got below average service. Just a bad day for Easy Movers? Maybe. A bad day for the customer? Definitely.

This went great! As Easy Movers is a more local company, the same men who loaded my furniture in Charlotte unleaded it in PA. They took only two days to get here, unlike national companies that send your stuff on a wandering sojourn through the US on its way to you. The men were very professional, courteous, and efficient. The only drawback to this company was the packers they used. the women who packed were pretty efficient, but they made it h****** the movers by packing all my books in MEDIUM boxes, instead of small ones! My poor movers had to mover very heavy boxes of books die to this error. I would definitely use this company again, if I still lived in Charlotte. I've moved MANY times around the country, and this company was GREAT!

The two men that were sent were courteous, professional and timely in performing their duties. Driver and helper arrived on time, took time to explain the paperwork relating to the move. As they were wrapping the furniture they noted any scratches or problems with the furniture. loaded the truck so that the furniture would not shift and move while transportating. Worked steadily without breaks or delays. Delivered the furniture as prescribed, unloaded and placed in our home where we requested.

It went great. They did a great job! Dan was the manager, whom we dealt with on the phone. He was very nice, and his estimate was basically right on the money. It was a very long day on the load out, but everything went smoothly. They actually could have delivered everything two days earlier, but I wasn't ready for them. They had to re-arrange their schedule to fit mine, and they did an excellent job packing and unloading everything. Everyone involved did everything they could to make it all go very easy. I have to move again in 6 months, and now I'm thinking of calling them up from North Carolina to move me down the street, if that tells you anything about how much we liked them.

Update: I find it interesting that a standard washing machine box with hose thread is unusual. The leak was not small; it entered the wall and traveled through the ceiling to a heating vent where much of the water exited. No one ever offered to retrieve the fire safe which seemed large to me ? but I carried it. The author of the response seems to be operating on a different set of facts. I rarely write review, and never negative reviews, but this mover flooded my house, left heavy stuff behind that I had to move myself, provided poor customer service and then offered a pittance in compensation for the damage they did. An hour into the move I let the crew know that the city water was off for some reason so bathroom use was limited. Two hours later the water came back on, they had moved my washing machine and left the valves open flooding my second floor laundry staining walls and ceiling below. I called and was directed to Heather, explained the situation and was told that they were movers not appliance technicians and that I had signed a release for appliances! After many phone calls and much discussion they ultimately agreed to send a painter but it would take two weeks. Two days later I returned to the house, bought primer, paint, brush, roller? (my paint stuff was in a box somewhere) and spent a half day fixing the problem because I needed to get it done. I thought my friends at Easy Movers would be pleased with the outcome and would offer an adjustment on the moving bill which I had not yet paid. I called them, paid the bill, they never offered an adjustment, I asked and after much hemming and hawing offer $75, then upped it to $100. That would have covered my out of pocket but not my time and aggravation so I told them to keep it. I recommend you avoid this company. Oh, yes, and they left a fire safe that I use for insurance documents behind. I pointed it out at the begging of the move, we discussed it, it?s heavy and they left for me and my 60 year old back. I could not afford to wait for weeks or have a loose delivery window. They picked up on Saturday, delivered on a Monday, called to inform me of the time of arrival. The boss Mr Ried was personable, easy to interact with, and listened to my needs. The movers were just as nice and trustworthy. There was a small damage to my ikea mattress that they fully refunded. I'm recommending them without doubts

The guys were very nice and very quick. They were a little late due to a previous customer but kept in touch and let me know when they would be arriving. I was pleased with how quick and smooth it went. Thanks!

Movers were timely, efficient and professional. All items were handled properly and they moved quickly to keep costs down. I didn't feel I need to micromanage the process to keep things going.

Professional, worked hard, took special care to wrap all furniture with protective covers. Nothing was damaged during move. They did a great job.

We found ourselves unexpectedly without a moving company for our move from CT to SC on 4/27/15. I called Easy Movers Inc on 4/16/15 to see about using their services. I spoke with Suzanne and although we could not work together for this move I found the customer service and professionalism of Suzanne and the company to be stellar. I would recommend them and would use them if needed in the future!

Everything was on time and nothing was broken. They were super careful. They were fantastic. The office was very responsive and easy to work with.

These folks are terrific! They wrapped everything and treated our furniture like it was theirs. We contacted them and they had a sales guy out the next day to a**** the job and give us an estimate. He was thorough and explained everything. The next day he had the estimate back and we scheduled the move for one week later. They arrived on time, did what they said they would do and were courteous, professional, careful and fast. This is a top notch outfit and people throughout. I plan to use them again next week to move the rest of our stuff locally.

It went Great and was an absolutely wonderful experience. Both gentlemen were very professional in every aspect of their duties, but also had great interaction with both of our sons(8 yrs & 5 yrs) and the boys enjoyed this move after both had expressed regret at moving. On Friday we had pizza & pop with both of them and on Sunday evening we sent them on their way with big plates of KFC---which we asked them to join us to eat both times and they graciously accepted. The people at Easy Movers were very open and concise with the information they gave us on the move and were a pleasure to talk to and work with. We had absolutely no problems with paperwork, any extra/hidden fees or the like. Easy Movers conduct was exemplary and all was above board and crystal clear. They arrived to pack up our belongings when they said they'd be there and delivered right on schedule with no complications. We had no breakage or damage other than a few bumped boxes that we packed- no damage to contents(soft stuff). Overall my wife and I would give Easy Movers and their moving staff(who moved us)an A+ and would definitely use them again and Highly recommend them to our friends and anyone looking to make a cross country move as we did or even a local move. I had a wonderful experience with Easy Movers. We moved a 4 BR house from Pennsylvania to North Carolina and had no problems with Easy Movers. From the first call to the last, they were professionally, timely, and stuck to their word. I would highly recommend Easy Movers for an intra or interstate move.

I sent a request through Angie's List to get a quote for an upcoming move. A very friendly lady called me on Saturday, and scheduled an appointment for Monday morning at 11:00. She went over a few things with me, was very friendly, and very professional. Sadly, she was not the same person that I dealt with on Monday. On Monday morning, someone was supposed to be at my house at 11:00. At 10:50, I received a phone call from the person that was supposed to be coming out that he wouldn't be able to make it, and would like to reschedule for 2:00, or 2:30. That wouldn't have been nearly as big of an issue for me had they called prior to 10 minutes before the appointment. I had already left my office for home, so that I could make the appointment on time. When he got to my house that afternoon, I really wasn't sure that he understood what was going on. I did allow him to walk around, and explain to him what was going, and what would not be going. He left, and said that someone would e-mail me an estimate. Once the estimate came, it was literally twice as expensive as the next highest estimate, and I had a total of 5 estimates. I responded to the e-mail, and told them that I wasn't really happy about the reschedule with 10 minutes notice, and that their estimate was much higher than all of the others. They didn't even respond to that e-mail. 1. If they had to reschedule me on the day for the estimate, what would happen on the day of the move? I couldn't imagine them calling 10 minutes before they were supposed to complete the move to tell me they couldn't make it. 2. If the person that was sent to my house to do the estimate didn't know what he was doing, would the movers have known what they were doing? 3. If they weren't professional enough to respond to my e-mail when I had an issue before we ever did business, would they be professional enough to respond to my e-mail if I had hired them and we had an issue? Due to everything listed above, not strictly the high price, I will not be doing business with Easy Movers.

They were great. The movers were fantastic. It went great. They were very professional and very good packers. They took care of everything very well. The care stood out. They really took a lot of time packing everything so it's been great. They had a good price.

They gave excellent service and they were very prompt.

They were fantastic to work with. I couldn't believe how easy and stress-free the process was. From the beginning, they were very professional and accommodating. I had several large pieces of antique furniture that they wrapped with care. Then they stored them for three months. Afterwards, I had them deliver the furniture to two different homes. The furniture was in great shape when it arrived. Nothing was broken in the move. Everyone I met was professional and helpful. I would certainly use them again. The price was very reasonable for the services we received. The storage costs were particularly inexpensive.

We could not be happier. The movers we had originally scheduled for the day through another company were no shows. We called easy movers and they had a crew out to us a few hours later. The two gentlemen did an excellent job of getting our furniture packed and maximized the space really well. They were very careful to protect our furniture and explained the best way to unpack when we get to our new home.
