The person I dealt with was Michael Stevenson. They were nice guys, but their work was horrible. They say that they do everything, and they do everything, but they don’t know how to do it. I don’t think they know how to do anything. They left black streaks when they painted, and it was awful. They painted my outside fence and left all big spots that they didn’t get. I bought the paint, and it was good premium paint, I paid $179 for a five gallon can. They used the whole five gallon can and couldn’t paint a fence that enclosed a little area partway around my house. Down there I had to hide everything, so I put my air conditioner, and the trash cans there. It’s a small area, and they couldn’t take five gallons and paint that fence. There were three different people, and they couldn’t do it. I had to go over everything again. My son has been trying to help me with the locks. I didn’t check the locks, the deadbolts didn’t lock. I hadn’t checked that, and after they left, I came out of there and tried the locks, and they didn’t work. They didn’t do the cutouts right and the holes they made to fit the screws that hold the plates were so huge that when I opened the door, the top screw on one plate was hanging out. I called my son to come down and have a look at that. He came and looked at them and told me that the cutouts were probably not right, so he took it out to set it right and found that the holes were so huge that there was no way of putting it right. We had to get a new door. They just did bad work, and they broke new locks. There were new locks in their packing, and when they told me that two of them were broken, I didn’t believe them. They had an electrician who had passed a test, but didn’t know his bottom end from nothing. It was awful really. The guys were likeable and they were nice, and I really liked them, that’s why I didn’t go after them I guess. I must never like the people who are working for me, because if I like them, I don’t want to hurt them. They need not to be in business. I am seventy three years old, and it takes a lot of attitude to get out there and paint that fence. Somebody should not be taken advantage of like that, they really shouldn’t be. I just feel bad for them, because I know what the Bible tells me. They have done something bad to a widow, and that is going to come back on them. At first I was really mad at them, but then I thought that God has a much better sense of humor than I do, and He will take care of this. I think that their pricing was good, I’m guessing that it was good. But for not doing the work, I really need to hire somebody else to come in and take stock. My son and I have been trying to paint over the inside and do different things. I paid them for the windows, and the windows they got weren’t good quality windows, the top fell open. Its way up in the trees, I can’t get out there and do those windows. I am going to have to hire somebody to do my windows on the outside. The quality of their work was bad, really bad. I was disgusted with them, and wanted to rate them as lousy in everything, but they did do some work. It’s just that they could do rough work, but when it got down to fine things like glass or electric or things like that, they couldn’t do it. They couldn’t finish the painting. They don’t finish anything that they start, and they don’t care if they do it right. I had to go down there and seal some tiles and grout them. They had replaced some tiles for me, and I had to seal and grout them myself. They didn’t want to do that. They had laid them down when they spray painted inside, and I didn’t realize that they didn’t do it. When I took the paper off, none of that was done. It was sneaky, and underhand. I had to buy new locks for the ones that they broke, so it was a double expense on things I needn’t have had to buy. I just couldn’t believe that a Christian person would do that to somebody, or anybody, Christian or not. It was just bad business all the way around, other than their personalities. They were nice to talk to, they didn’t do any cursing on the job, which I appreciate, and they were very respectful. They were not punctual, they would tell me that they would be here on Monday, and they would get here on Wednesday. I would be sitting around waiting for them to come in and start the job. They would usually work three or four hours at the most and then they were gone, they would go on other jobs. I just let it go because I am old and not in a really big hurry. I had some problems in my family and I couldn’t always be at home, and they would say that they had come when I was not available, but that was not true because they always called before they came, and they hadn’t called me. I was just disgusted with their service, and the jobs that they didn’t do right.
