New Image Windows & Siding

In 2006 i bought a 1994 constructed home. The windows were all original - which is to say single pane, wooden framed, and terribly inefficient. Based on my earlier experiences, i called New Image out to install high-efficiency vinyl windows. They put them in on-time and displayed excellence in both quality and workmanship.

I began my search for new home windows by going to Angie's List and finding four companies that sold and installed home windows. Those companies were: Crown Builders, Mr. Rogers Windows, Champion Windows and New Image. A requirement was that the company sell Alside Excalibur windows because I had already replaced 26 of my homes' 42 windows and wanted to match them. Mr. Rogers and Champion did not carry Alside windows but the other two companies did. I had both companies come over and give me estimates. Crown Builder's was the company that had installed the first 26 replacement windows for me. Their estimate was $6,800. The New Image estimate for the exact same windows and features was $5,148. The difference in these two estimates was $1,752. I signed with New Image and saved myself $1,752. I think Crown Builders has to charge more because they have more overhead expenses in staff and their sales building located on Monroe Road. I was very pleased with New Image. They were always punctual and they cleaned up the work area spotlessly. The windows were installed over a period of two days at minimum discomfort to my family and pets. The new windows do not require much caulking since New Image uses a brick mold exterior trim wrap that allows water to run off thus making the window look better from the outside. The 26 windows that I had already replaced by Crown Builders has caulking that has attracted dirt over the few years that they have been installed. The caulking will not clean completely and I have had to paint that caulking to make it appear white again. New Image also provided me with the paper work required for the government tax credit and showed me the Alside window serial number to catalog and keep in case I ever need to replace any of the windows. Crown Builders never did show me that. I would definitely do business again with New Image and the other home maintenence services that they provide.

They did a good job. The price was fair, it was a small company and the owners did the work.

It went well. They were a newer business at the time.

Overall it was a great experience. I would highly recommend this company. We needed two windows replaced and were given a timely and fair estimate. It took a few weeks from the estimate date to the install date (to order the windows). The job was done in less than a day and the windows are great. We will probably use this company again to do more windows next year.

I was going to replace my window over my sink with a slider window for ease of opening. Gregg suggested a casement window instead of a slider, which would have distracted from the picturesque view. We then had double-hung windows in our dining area in my kitchen, and he suggested a picture window and two small casements. Everyone comments on our windows when they walk into the room. They just made such a big difference and are so beautiful. It has always been chilly and dusty in our room, with the new windows, it is now warm, dustless, and quiet. I can't say enough good things about the windows and the work that was done.

They were fantastic. We had used them in the past we are slowly having them do all of our windows. They've been great and they've measured all of our windows so when ever we call them to come out and replace another, they come out and install the ones we want. They get done in one day. I wouldn't use anyone else.

They did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves. The quality of work was also excellent.

Gregg was great. He came and looked at the work the week of 12-8-09 and said he could schedule me the next Wednesday. The weather was bad and Gregg called and let me know he needed to reschedule for the next Monday, 12-21-09. He installed the window and fixed the siding in about four hours. The job was done quickly and professionally and I appreciate the good work. He received some bad reviews lately but my experience with him was exactly what I expect from my contractors. I am going to need a window replacement soon, and Gregg is getting me an estimate; he is currently "in first place" based on this repair

As most buyers do, I contacted several different window companies to provide estimates. I found that New Images' prices, professionalism, and responsiveness were top notch. When I first called Gregg, we immediately set an appointment for the following morning and he arrived on time with a window sample and provided me an extremely thorough walk through of his product. During this walk-through, Gregg demonstrated exception in-depth knowledge and shared his experiences with the product. Because of the lasting impression that was made, we selected New Image to replace our windows (from a wide variety of 'big box' stores and smaller companies). From the time I placed the order with Gregg, to the time they were installed, everything was executed precisely as described by Gregg. The windows were delivered on the 17th of the month and were installed on the 18th. Gregg called us a week in advance to provide a status of the window shipment and to set our expectations of the installation timing. The final two items that I'll take a moment to comment on are the quality of work as well as the respect to our home. With respect to the quality of work, I inspected each window for drafts and quality of the seal, and found that every window was very professionally done with no air drafts and excellent "lines" with caulking and vinyl casing around the windows. New Image installed the windows during the day while my wife and I were at work. When we got back to the house after work, Gregg was just finishing up and the house appeared to be untouched. They moved all of the furniture away from the windows (e.g. computers, couches, beds, etc) and put them back precisely as they were before... they also vacuumed and paid particular attention to leaving our house just as neat and orderly as they found it. We truly appreciated that. We have had such a great experience with New Age that we plan on talking with them in the New Year about potentially enclosing our screened in porch.

I contacted this company for an estimate on some window and door replacements and repairs which I wanted to have completed before year's end. John Deland eventually came out about 2 weeks after my initial phone call and several follow up calls. He was very helpful, seemed knowledgeable and professional - just what has been indicated by other customer reports on Angie's List. I asked for a written quote along with some door information. It took me another 2 to 3 weeks to get this information and quote finally by email and very vague at that. I did some research, and called John telling him that I wanted to go ahead with the work. That was about 1-1/2 weeks ago, and have never heard back from him. I thought I had finally found a company that was responsive, professional, and dependable for window and door repair jobs, but apparently not. These guys are not much different than the rest of this industry, I won't be calling them again.

I tried to get an estimate from Gregg McLaughlin to replace window glass in 20 windows in my home. I spoke with Gregg and he seemed eager to help. Our initial conversation went well and Gregg was going to have his colleague call me to set up a time for an estimate. Gregg seemed interested in my business. His partner never did call me. I followed up with a voice mail to Gregg to again try and schedule an appointment. I never heard back. I reached out to Gregg based on the stellar Angie's List ratings. If Gregg is too busy to take on more business - please just tell me this next time. I expected better treatment from this company given the high Angie's List ratings.

Greg is an extreme professional and dedicated to his work product. He was honest about what windows needed replacing and which could stay on an older home we were fixing up for re-sale. The windows took a little extra time to get in, but he kept us informed as to the status and once they arrived he worked efficiently.

Gregg ordered the window and called me as soon as it came in. He came out the following week (when our schedules both aligned) with one assistant and completed the job in about 1-1.5 hours. Replaced our existing window (roughly 3 feet by 5.5 feet) with tempered glass in a rot free (composite) frame and primed it. Work was completed efficiently and they did not mind at all that children and a laborador retriever were very interested in their movements.

Talked the gentleman and he said that his partner, John, would call me back and that they would set up a time for him to come out and look at the problem. They have never called me back. I think this is very rude. It's been a week.

Greg gave me an estimate to put vinyl siding on my house. He explained in detail the work to be done. He came quickly and on time for our scheduled appointment. The price was fair, but a bit higher than the contractor I used. I would have given this company more consideration if they would have done all the work I needed; they just wanted to do the siding and I needed some deckwork and painting as well. The contractor I chose did the complete job.

Replacing all of the old windows in our home was a big job and I was nervous about having it done. After having several companies to the house for an estimate, we selected New Image hands down. The process couldn't have been easier; it was a great experience. From the minute the first truck arrived at my home on day one, I was thrilled with the process, the product and the men doing the work. Gregg and John did a wonderful job installing the windows; they were clearly very concerned with the quality of work they provided. They went above and beyond making sure we'd be happy with the outcome. From returning furniture to its original location, to taking away every last scrape of trash, to tracking me down to discuss how to best work with some existing trim, they went out of their way to make sure we'd be thrilled with the finished product. The windows are absolutely beautiful; I only wish I had done it years ago! They made what I expected to be a rough couple of days a real pleasure.

John and Gregg run a great business. They did not provide the lowest estimate for the work, but we selected them because we had a great deal of confidence in them. They were always prompt in returning phone calls, on time for appointments, very professional and courteous. On the day they installed the window, they arrived on time, completed the work in the time we agreed to, and left without leaving a scrap of trash behind. They were cognizant of every detail and consulted with me to make sure I was comfortable with trim alignment and other finishing details. Before leaving, they even climbed onto our roof to replace a piece of siding that a recent storm had blown off, with no extra charge. We will use John and Gregg again to replace other windows in our home and highly recommend them to anyone needing window or siding work.

Great! I found three companies on the list, got estimates from all three and decided to go with New Image. Greg and John are such nice guys and great to work with. Their price was fair, they were professional and courteous, and they were conscientious about the quality of their work. They arrived when promised, finished the work promptly, and cleaned up afterward. It was a pleasure to do business with them!

This company does outstanding work. From the bidding process, quality of product and professionalism. They are top notch. I would highly recommend them.

Greg and John did a really terrific job. They were punctual, neat, and clearly interested in doing quality work. The windows themselves had some problems (all Alside quality control issues, not a reflection on New Image at all) - one window arrived cracked, 2 screens were in less than perfect condition, and the large picture window we ordered came in first with the wrong color trim - after ordering a new one, the 2nd window came in with a scratch in the coating and also has to be replaced. We had 12 Alside windows put in last year and had none of these problems - their quality control is either slipping or perhaps this was just Murphy's law. However, Greg and John arranged the work around these obstacles to inconvenience us in the least possible way, and we greatly appreciate it. I would (and will) definitely hire them again for future jobs. It's so hard to find a good, trustworthy contractor, and New Image is one.

There was no question on who I wanted to do the work, after meeting with 3 other companies; New Image. When I contacted Gregg McLaughlin, he came over the next day, provided me with a written quote, a sample of the window and the address of a previous customer so I could drive by and see the windows actually installed. The windows were installed on time. I was in the middle of a total renovation, which required them to return after the in ital install and install a new 5' bathroom window and a 6' Patio Door, plus they just came back a 3rd time to install one final window that did have a window A/C unit. The windows are great, the service has been over the top and I will make sure that anyone and everyone I know that has any interest or need for windows talks to Gregg at New Image.

Greg and John DO NOT answer their phones nor return calls, period. John DeLand eventually came out and gave an estimate, but was a NO CALL/NO SHOW for the final appointment for us to give our down payment! All other companies wanted my business and called us until I asked them to stop; hell, I couldn't get these guys to take my money! They are unprofessional and irresponsible, and I would not recommend them to anyone. I would not let them hang a picture in my house! I DID NOT LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK FROM OTHERS SHARING THE SAME SCENARIO AND OUTCOME. I HOPE YOU HEED OUR WARNING!! DO NOT USE THEM!! Yes, they won the Angie's List Award in 2005; it's now 2006 and EVERYTHING has changed.

After 41 Days from the initial phone call-the window has not been fixed. John made several promises on when he could do the work-but never called to let us know. We even emailed trying to get some sort of response, called and left home, office, and cell phone numbers to be reached at. Finally today was the last straw when John said he didn't have our number to be reached at! (He called me by the way...) We can't trust someone to perform work who can't be honest about returning a phone call, or an email with phone numbers listed.
