New Image Windows & Siding

Called and spoke to John Delano on 8/14/2012 and left a message. Spoke to John again 2 days later on 8/16/2012 to schedule a site visite for a quote estimate on replacing 6 windows on a rental property in South Charlotte. John came out and took a measurement that same day. However, never heard back from John since. Called and left John a voicemail today, 8/28/2012 (a week and half later). Never received a call back. Awful experience with this company. Will move on to the next one that is interested in providing good service. Thanks!

I would highly recommend New Image and Siding to anyone. We had a break in at our home and needed to have glass replaced in one of the windows in our great room. Gregg came out the same day I called to measure and give me a price on the repair. He explained that since the window was double paned glass it would have to be ordered and that he would have the glass early the following week. He returned the following week and replaced the glass and repaired the screen that had been cut. We are very pleased with his work and professionalism!

Due to some recent storms we had rain water inside a majority of our window sills. John and Gregg were prompt, professional, and courteous. We have 8.5 month old twins and an almost 4 yr old who nap around the same time and whenever they came over thy would knock versus ringing the doorbell. They tried to make sure all the weep holes on outside of windows were open and clear of debris. They even caulked around the windows. Another storm came through and the water still came inside. I gave the guys a call and they were here the next day to try and come up with a resolution. They are real sincere guys who are looking to provide quality service and not rip you off. For right now, we haven't had any water issues, but I did contact the project manager per their recommendation. The project mgr knows my house very well and hopefully he can see why the windows leaked in the first place. It's great to know that the guys want to try and be here when the project mgr gets here so they can understand what happened too. These are the guys you want to call when you have window issues. John and Gregg are good people and good people who provide services are hard to find these days!!!

Smooth from initial quote to final installation.

Prior to getting an estimate from New Image, we had received a few others. Due to the higher than expected costs we were given on these estimates, we put off getting two windows replaced (seals were broken and they looked horrible). After getting to the point where we could afford replacements, we decided to get some estimates from Angie's List. From the first time we contacted the company, until the time they left our house, things could not have been better. We were contacted right away by Gregg. He was right on time for the appointment and we were provided an estimate that was a fraction of what other companies were telling us it would cost. Additionally, we were told (unlike other estimates) that we did not need to have the windows (frames) replaced, only the glass. Gregg was upfront and honest about when the work could be done (glass was running a week longer than expected at the time). Gregg and John showed up right on time and completed all the work in a professional manner. When they were done, they made sure everything was clean, shiny and in better shape than when they left it. The cost for the job was dead on with the estimate so there were no surprises there. We now have two windows that look great and no longer are the eyesore they had been. We only wish we had found Gregg and John sooner. It is hard to read a review someone else has written about a company and actually believe it for yourself. We can say to anyone reading this review that we could not have asked for more from a company, would recommend them to anyone needing window replacement/repair (in fact we already have) and would not even think of ever using anyone else in the future.

Gregg and John TOTALLY transformed the look and feel of our house and the whole experience of working with them was painless. We are completely satisfied with the end product and consider that we got excellent value for money. We never felt like we were being being overcharged and we were more than happy to leave the guys working around the house while we were out on errands etc. These guys know what they are doing, they are great to get along with and they show a great deal of respect for your property. Would not hesitate to recommend them and would definitely use them again.

They didn't call me back until the second time I called. When I finally spoke to someone he was very nice and said he'd get back to me with an estimate by the weekend and that was on a Tuesday. I never heard back from them.

They were quick and efficient getting the windows put in, wrapped and cleaning up the old windows. Left a tube of caulking should I need to touch anything up at a later date. House looks good with the new windows.

John came to our house for the demo/estimate. What impressed us immediately was that compared to the other folks we had out to give estimates, John is NOT a "sales guy". He was very knowledgeable, and was able to answer all our questions, and thoroughly explain the product, but he does not approach you like a salesman, and that makes all the difference. He was also the only one who took the time to help us move our furniture back into place after taking measurements of the windows - that's just the kind of guy he is, and the kind of service New Image provides. The estimate he gave us was very good, and he provided us with many ways to keep costs down that others failed to mention. The windows arrived earlier than expected, and they were available to install just 2 days after they came in. All 14 were installed in 1 day, and the job went incredibly smoothly. There was absolutely no evidence that they had been there, either inside or outside the house when they left - that is how clean they left everything. My husband asked John to come back the next day and touch up some of the interior caulking, which he happily did - he was there by Noon. We will absolutely be using New Image to replace all the rest of the windows in our house, as well as both sets of doors over the coming year/years. We could not have been happier with this transaction.

A wonderful experience. The windows are great--well-constructed and good looking. The installation was professional--the trim was caulked so well that I didn't even have to repaint. Installation was timely, and worked around my schedule for being out of town. The windows came with half-screens, although I had ordered full ones. They realized this on the day of installation, and came by less than a week later to install the full ones--I didn't even have to be there. I'm extremely satisfied with both the product and the service, and will be calling them again soon to replace the remaining windows in my house.

See above. While Greg was here, I asked him for a rough estimate for some good thermal windows for the north side of my house. He explained everything. I am not ready to replace windows yet but, when I do, I will use New Image. Greg was very nice.

Excellent communications (they followed up my inquiry almost immediately) and Gregg did a great job of explaining what he would do and how long it would take to do the job. I would highly recommend them for any siding work. In fact, if I ever have any window work to do, they will be the first I call as well. A+++ experience.

The overall experience was better than expected. John and Gregg were always available and polite. They always cleaned up after themselves and hauled away all the debris. We would definitely hire them again.

I searched Angie's List for contractors doing Window Repair and found New Image Window & Siding and called Gregg McLaughlin and asked him to come by to estimate replacing two spacers that appeared to be rotted from a leakage above my Pella Windows. Gregg came by my home that afternoon on his way back from a job around Lake Norman. He quickly assessed the job, gave me and quote, and told me he could probably do the job by Friday (two days later) around 10AM. He called me back on Thursday stating another project had been delayed and he could come around 8:30 AM, which was fine with me. He and another worker replaced both sections in a timely manner, carefully vacuumed the dust while cutting out the old pieces, and cleaned up everything when he finished. His work was professionally done and it was done in a timely and conscientious manner. Gregg was very nice and actually did some other outside repairs to help insure that the leakage did not return to include, caulking, touchup painting, and inspection of the area that had experience the leak. I would recommend New Image Window and Siding to anyone and I understand how he and his company was awarded the "Angies List Super Service Award for 2010".

John was great to work with. He came out and gave us good advice about the various products he offered and recommended what he thought was the best for our needs. New Image replaced 6 upstairs windows with new, Low-E windows and installed new screens upstairs and down. When we told him we had a bad experience with a handyman we'd hired to replace our downstairs windows when we had first bought the house, he offered to repair the trim that had not been finished to our liking by the handyman at no charge. The pro and con of New Image is that they're a small company. That means that you get great personal attention (as we did) but it also means that when business is booming (as it seems to be for New Image now), there may be a little additional delay in getting the work completed. We did have to call John about four weeks or so after we'd ordered the windows to ask when they would be coming by to install. John apologized for the delay, told us the windows and screens had arrived, and scheduled an installation the following Monday (I called on Friday). It was no great concern as New Image had not asked us to pay for the windows up front, as many contractors would have, which I took as a good sign of their financial condition and commitment to complete our project quickly and professionally. The project was complete in one day and the final product looks great. New Image's work was excellent, the price was fair, and the experience was very positive. We will call again and recommend this provider.

Called them twice over the span of 3 weeks to come out and fix siding and some windows. Left message for them each time and never heard anything back from them.

We called to have the locking mechanism repaired on our window. Gregg responded immediately to our call and came to assess the window the same day. He worked with the manufacturer to get the parts we needed and helped us with a temporary repair while we waited for the parts to come in. Our windows now lock again and we'll definitely use New Image again!

A great company from the beginning! Gregg was great explaining the windows and very accommodating with scheduling the initial quote. They were very prompt each day of installation and we were so impressed with their professionalism! We have 2 young children that nap in the afternoons and Gregg and John would work on those windows early so that they would not bother them later in the day! We were very pleased!

John and Gregg were terrific. Replacing these windows was something my husband and I had not expected to do in the process of redoing a house we recently purchased. In addition to being an unexpected added expense, we had only a few weeks to get these windows, paint them (which we did ourselves) and have them installed. John and Gregg got the windows in record time and delivered them to our house to paint--even giving us tips on how to best paint them. Then they came and installed the windows the day before we moved in and even rehung the blinds for us. They are professional, prompt, and reasonably priced. I can't believe they got these done for us in our very tight time frame. They really went above and beyond.

Great guys to work with. especially liked the fact that the person doing the measuring and writing the quote is the guy installing your windows. They did the job quickly and neatly, with absolutely no damage to the interior of the house, and proper weatherproofing to the exterior. I would and will use them again.

All work was completed to my satisfaction with no delays or problems. Communication was excellent and guidance on issues such as cost, siding color, door choices, etc. was thoughtful and in consideration of correcting deficiencies, bringing my house up to Code standards, and achieving a healthful, beautiful result, with most value for my money. I couldn't be more pleased!

I would recommend this company to anyone. From beginning to end, everything was flawless. Fantastic. I checked around and prices were very reasonable. I would give them an A+ if I could.

During my initial meeting with John in early November 2010, he provided excellent information, both verbal and printed, and answered my questions clearly. At that time, he also took measurements and gave me a quote for the new windows. Four days later, I telephoned John and placed my order. He confirmed my order and the price via e-mail that same day. Approximately three weeks after my order, John telephoned me to report that the new windows had arrived in Charlotte. We scheduled the installation for later that same week, on a Thursday and Friday. John and Greg arrived on time for the installation. On the first day, they removed all the old windows (except for one because the factory had neglected to ship its replacement) and put the new windows in place. On the next day, they performed all the outside work, including the installation of the trim. They worked hard both days but were also courteous, friendly, and attentive to my needs, such as securing my indoor cat. They were also very professional and caring, and I felt that this major project was in the best hands. The missing window arrived and was installed a week later. Two days later, John returned to paint the new moulding that he had placed around that window's transom. (The caulking needed to dry before the painting could be done.) At my request, John also painted some nicks and scuffs on three of the window sills, but rather than do just touch-up painting, John painted the entire window sills--and they looked excellent afterwards. John and Greg exceeded my expectations. Here's just one example: The slats in two of my venetian blinds were not parallel with the grids in the new windows, and I offered to pay John extra to move the brackets that supported the blinds. He did move the brackets so that the blinds and grids were aligned, but he refused any extra money. All the work was completed 33 days after I placed my order.
