Bulwark Exterminating - Charlotte

We were looking for a reasonable pest control company where we would not have to chase them down and make sure the service was being performed well. Bulwark offered us more frequent service for a better price than a couple of other companies we talked to, and they assured us that we would be on a schedule they were accountable for following and would advise us when services were being completed/were completed. We also initiated a termite inspection, because it had been a few years. Termites were discovered at the early stages in our garage. We got one other quote to compare to the treatment/price Bulwark and validate the extent of the problem, and we found Bulwark's quote to be better and the treatment more on point for the problem we had. We've been very please with both the ongoing regular pest control work and the termite treatment work. We've both interacted with the company and find them to be pleasant and responsive, despite a bit of a delay making contact when we first inquired about service. After living in the Charlotte area for 5 years now and using at least a couple other companies during that time, it's nice to know we have one company that is reasonable and we can trust to call whenever there is a problem - but that we probably won't have one!

The initial visit was good but only half of their service was completed due to the rain. I actually had to call them back for the 2nd half of the service which I thought was going to be done the next week but wasn't. The original day they were out there, I signed up for one full year. Then there was almost 3 months of not hearing from them or receiving service. Somehow, their "system" got messed up and forgot about me. Luckily, they didn't bill me either but the bugs came back. After this experience, everything has been fine and their service team was great on all follow up calls. I guess this is why I only rated them a B overall so far.

It went very well with the technician arriving promptly at the appointed time. He proceeded to explain what his service would entail, which was spraying all rooms of the hose around the base boards and windows and door thresh holds. He also explained that the solution used on the exterior of the house was an industrial strength. When he was finished, I showed him a hornets nest, which he told me inactive and removed for me. I also was concerned that there might be a dead animal or rodent in the garage because of a foul odor. The technician helped me move some items around and he searched under the freezer to determine that there was nothing dead in the garage and suggested that the odor was probably caused by the freezer being inadvertently shut off for a few day a couple of weeks prior. When the technician was finnished he urged me to contact the company with any worries or problems I had concerning his visit that day.

Termite monitoring traps were placed around house. No one ever came out to check them. Although I had already paid in advance when I purchased the Angie's List deal, I continually received bills demanding payment. On the same day I had the termite traps put out, another person from the company - apparently a salesperson came to my house, and kept badgering me to sign up for their annual pest control service. I finally agreed with the stipulation that I could cancel after one quarter if I was not completely satisfied. Well, I am definitely not satisfied. The guy that came out only did a cursory spraying - basically nothing that I could not have done myself and I felt like I had wasted my money.

They did a very good job and my bugs are gone!!!

Arrived at a later date than I had written down. It was set up for 4pm for the first house 19003 Kailua Cir and 4:30pm for the second house at 19005 Kailua Cir. The second house was not on his schedule and he had no record of it. The technician arrived at 5:30pm His work sheet indicated 5:00pm and only one house. With the holiday traffic it was not a problemand understanable. The mix up must have been in the office. Techincian was very friendly and seemed to perform his job well. I did get a call from the office the next business day, but could not make out he phone # in the message. I left town and got another call from the office the next week but have not returned call as of yet. Travel for a living so scheduling is diffiicult. Gate was left open and dogs got out the next mornig. They are old so they did not get far. They were wanderng back home when we found them. Over all I would use there service again. Mainly because of the friendlyness of the technician

The pest control technician was prompt and sprayed all of the crevices where 'bugs' hide. He was very courteous and very professional. I recommend having this service performed while the weather is above 60 degrees to allow outside ventilation from the spraying inside of the home. The pest control technician said I should see results in about a week. Great service!!!! I will refer them to my neighbors.

Great! We have a quarterly contract with Bulwark, but one day woke up to find 6 wasps in the great room. They came out within a few hours, and treated the whole outside of the house, plus let us know that likely the real problem was the chimney. The visit was free, as we are under contract with them. They were very responsive, and very helpful.

Very pleased wih the team that did the work for us. They were thorough and communicated with us on all that they were doing and why. I was so impressed that I have retained Bulwark to be on regular pest control company.

They spray the outdoors for insects. They also do an inspection and spray according to what they find.

Mario came and did an exterior treatment then called me to follow up. Easy!

Overall it went really well and we saw significantly less bugs in the house. Malley recommendation is to make sure that they are very clear on any coupon that you purchase for you pay. It did seem odd that they didn't know the details of the coupon on Angie's list but nonetheless did a very great job.

The story is above. There is not much to say about an exterminator who does his job.

A representative from the company contacted us before we had a chance to call them. The service person was very prompt, explained what he would do, and performed the service fast and efficiently. He also informed us what to expect and that there would be a second treatment at a later time.

They were terrific. They came out and I'm always concerned about mice in the attic, being on a lake area. He said don't worry about the attic cause I'd hear them. But, he checked anyway. He was very thorough and respectful. They were the whole package, it was a very good experience.

wonderul - this inspector was very well trained -very knowledgeable of the company, the treatment, the product, the State Laws for pesticides. I was very impressed. he was on time and took time to answer all my questions. He didn't make me feel like I was waisting his time with all my question.

Very thorough, he was probably there for an hour and a half. We are going to use them for quarterly exterior service from now on. It was a good experience. They were very responsive.

First treatment was 95% effective. Getting one more treatment as part of a Big Deal. Good value and responsiveness.

Everything seemed to go well and they did a good job. They showed up on time and did what they were supposed to do.

Willis introduced himself asked what our concern was. We showed him the bug we have had an issue with. He explained what is was. He then explained all the steps he would take inside and out to take care of problem. I also explained my fear of spiders and he explained different kind and took care of spraying for them. I,would recommend your company and Willis anytime.

The technician installed about 20 termite traps all around the house at regular distances - after he was done it looked very profeessional and gave me a feeling of security about reaaly being protected well into the future - this had never been done before - the price includes several subsequent visits at intervals of about 4 months to check the traps and guarantee lasting protection

It just didn't seem like a thorough enough spraying to have an effect. Time will tell. Still have one more treatment to go. It's in 2 months. They did try to sell me a contract over the phone when I was making the first appointment but I told him I wasn't interested until I saw how these two treatments worked. He told me it would cost more if I didn't take advantage of it now because they'd wave the registration fee or something like that. I will wait and see what happens. The bugs weren't bad to begin with but they were cockroaches and I didn't want to play games with them!

I paid for the Angies Big Deal. They called within 2 weeks of the services being paid for and the appointment was set up. Their first visit was a little longer but not bad. They sprayed the outside and inside the house. I haven't seen any bugs yet. I have them come every 2 or 3 months to keep spraying. (I really don't like bugs). If I see one between visits all I have to do is call and they come back at no charge. All the employees I have worked with have been very professional. I will keep using them.

They arrived on time. Its satisfactory.
