 + -1 moreThe exterminator (very pleasant and professional) arrived right on schedule and performed the service. I was pleasantly surprised that the interior treatment included putting some anti-pest "stuff" inside the walls through some of the wall outlets, as I would never have thought of doing that. Telephone agent tried to sell me an ongoing service package, but I chose to stick with just the one-time service.

 + -1 moreInitial treatments are usually done in the evenings but since that didn't mesh with our schedule they arranged to come on Sat. afternoon. The technician showed up a couple of hours early, which was just fine, and after we discussed the location(s) of the problem he went about his business. He seemed to very competent and knowledgeable and went about his business with a minimum of disruption. As he left he assured me that should we have any further problem a call to the office would get him back out to take care of it. That turned out to be true in about ten days and he was back out the day after I called, and that appears to have taken care oif the situation. The only negative was a bill form Bulwark's home office for the initial treatment, but a call to the local office to tell them I had already paid through Angie's List resolved that problem.

 + -1 moreThese guys were very prompt and courteous. Reponded to calls immediately and performed the service promptly. Over all I am very satisfied with the service. I had called to get the service scheduled. Someone returned with a confirmation call. The service person called ahead before arrival. Even though he arrived earlier than scheduled, he waited for my arrival. He treated my house and explained about the bugs and how they come and go. Treated outside and inside the house. Great people to work with. Great service. Few days later received a follow up call which is great customer experience.

 + -1 moreI bought a Big Deal! offer for pest treatment. I think the normal price is $129. Our experience was mostly positive. The technician came out as scheduled. We asked him prior to starting whether we should move stuff away from walls and areas where he was going to spray and he said it was not necessary. However he sprayed over some of the things we had leaning against the walls in the garage and basement. I had also spoken to someone from Bullwark prior to theappointment and was told that a 10 foot wide barrier would be sprayed around the perimeter of the house. The technician did not do this. My wife was the one who followed him around the house and she was not aware of the treatment regiment. The treatment seems to be working so far. A couple of weeks ago we received a call from an account manager at Bullwark to check on our satisfaction with the services performed. My wife mentioned the issues above. He was apologetic and offered to send a technician out to treat our house again. The technician will be here this week. We are satisfied with Bullwark's handling of the situation and would use their services again.

 + -1 moreThis was an Angie's List Big Deal. As soon as I'd bought the deal, Jeff called and tried to sell me an ongoing contract, which was offputting. Maybe round-the-year pest control is something I'll consider down the line, but I wanted to see what the one-time treatment would do and then make up my mind whether to go forward or not. I still would have given Bulwark all A's if they hadn't stood me up for our first appointment. I called and they were confused about why I would have been given that appointment time since there was some company meeting or whatever then. They were all apologies, we set up another time, and I soon got an email from Mario. He showed up on time, was very nice and professional, explained what he was doing, and went about his business spraying in the outside walls via the electrical outlets and treating around the foundation outside. I was half expecting to see lots of dead roaches in the next few days, but we saw very few, maybe 3 or 4. I don't know whether to think the treatment wasn't effective or we just don't have a problem. I know the treatment is supposed to address other insects; we rarely see them as well.

 + -1 moreI had been doing my own exterminating for the past year or so, but noticed a few additional critters in the house. I bit the bullet and paid for this service. I'm glad I did . . . while I didn't like seeing bugs coming out to die out after the spraying, it made me realize if they hadn't sprayed, they'd probably be creeping around my house. So - after a couple of days of dying bugs around me . . . all is peaceful again. Glad I hired them. They were very nice. I was concerned about the hard sell I had read about, but didn't experience this myself. I told them I was cash-strapped until next year and they didn't push.

We have had them come out a couple times for specific problems in between services. They always come out within a few days of the call, and it is included in our typical charges.

He sprayed in and out of the house and installed termite bait canisters outside the house. The next day there were a lot of dead roaches and crickets in our basement so it must have worked.

 + -1 moreDon't keep Mike and don't explain what you are going to treat and not do it.
Description of Work: First representative called and indicated that it would be later than scheduled and hinted that he would rather reschedule for the next day. He did show up the next day and was kind of not wanting to be here. He informed us of what he was going to do and started. He informed us that he use enviromental friendly treatment. I researched what he told me he was using and the only thing I could find that it treated was repell misquitoes. He treated some rooms in the house, not all and them then moved outside. He spead some pellets outside and then sprayed some liquid. I told him that the storage building had a problem and I had it open and the light on, but he failed to treat it. He also failed to treat the storage room attached to the house outside of which I had the light turned on. Since only some of the rooms were treated on the inside, I called the company and complained about the person and also informed them that I was over-charged. They apoligized and said that they would send another person out and would adjust the bill. The next person was very efficient and knew what he was doing and re-treated. I feel if they remedy their problem of this person that they would be a good company.

 + -1 moreThe representative that came out to the house to spray and inspect was very nice and did a good job. Our only issue with this service was the fact that the company initiated future service calls without our permission. We expressed to the technician and the customer service department on 2 occasions before and after the the service was performed that we were only interested in a onetime service and that we would contact them if we needed additional services in the future. However, they scheduled follow-up treatment anyway without our permission and sent us a bill. We promply called the customer service again and reminded them that we did not ask for follow-up treatment and to please void the service and the bill. They complied.
Description of Work: We hired this company to spray/inspect the exterior and interior for seasonal insects.

 + -1 moreThe technician arrived in a timely manner and was professional to work with. The pest control treatment was performed inside and outside the house. Standard spray outside. For inside, the spray was not continuous but only on certain spots (mostly corners of the rooms). The description mentioned about treatment through electrical outlets: only 5-6 outlets were treated with chemical. Was given assurance to call the company anytime in next 90 days in case of any bugs. Over all satisfied with the treatment.

Description of Work: I have Bulwark come out every other month to service my property. They use to provide excellent service with a small delay in response. Over the last few months their service has become unreliable and lacking customer service. I have used them for the last 2 years and I'm now considering switching companies. I would schedule them to meet me at my house to service the inside and they would not call before coming and come hours earlier. I now suspect they are not even performing their regular scheduled maintenance with the amount of bugs I'm finding in my house.

Description of Work: The technician was very flexible in accommodating my needs. I didn't want chemicals in my home unless I saw bugs, and he agreed. For prevention purposes, he sprayed all around the outside of my home, and then agreed to spray an outside building that had a lot of junk in it and was scheduled for a cleanout. When I discovered some remaining bugs in the building and requested a reapplication they agreed to come out the same day. This was on a Saturday, three weeks after coming out the first time, and I didn't even call until 11:40 A.M. I couldn't believe how accommodating they were. They'll definitely get a call back from me when my home needs bug treatment again.
