Bulwark Exterminating - Charlotte

It was a Big Deal purchase. We just had that done this morning and it went great. The employee was very professional. He was very prompt and I thought he was very thorough. We were very appreciative of this Big Deal. For the special, the price was great. We are going to set up a contract with them.

The service went well. They honored that same price for us and we do a quarterly treatment with them. We are happy with them. They have been flexible with scheduling.

Service was easy to set up. Our technician (Ben) arrived promptly and was very knowledgeable and informative. He explained the treatment process and also answer questions I had on seasonal bug appearances. Service was completed. Ben was polite,professional and offered (rather than forced in any way) a bi-monthly plan that we were happy to sign up for. Over the course of the following 2 weeks we saw sporadic dead bugs than indicated to us that the treatment was successful. This was our second requested visit and on both occasions treatments were effective and presentation professional. Keep up the good work guys. JonathanS

I bought a special through Angie's List on a Saturday and was shocked/pleased to hear from them that same day to schedule my appointment. They were able to come out a few days later. The representative that assisted me was very helpful in answering all my questions and explaining the process/options. I have continued the service and everyone I've communicated with has been pleasant.

Tierra was my technician and she was great and knowledgeable, she was very professional and on time for the appointment. The company however dropped the ball and after buying the deal I had to call them to schedule the deal. When I finally contacted the company I spoke with a man that told me that they had contacted me on Sept 9th at 2pm. I was at the hospital with a friend having surgery and when I returned checked my phone messages and caller id and I didn't have a call from Bulwark exterminating. This man that answered the phone apologized for the mix up and proceeded to try to sell me future treatments and I had not received the treatment I had already paid for. Tighten up Bulwark.

Beware of the bait and switch! I purchased a Big Deal and received a call from Garrett at Bulwark to schedule the work. Their computers were down, but he was going to email me with a date after discussing availability. I received an email about their services, stating "Our office will schedule the every two month applications throughout the year for the outside to make sure nothing gets in?no one needs to be home on these visits. When the tech arrives he will have the paperwork with this schedule and all your warranty information on it," but no date was mentioned. Nothing on the Angie's List deal mentioned anything about an annual contract, just a single preventative treatment. After a few days when I hadn't heard from them, I emailed Garrett. That same day he left a message on my voicemail, and then a tech just showed up at the house. We were leaving and not able to do the work that day, but rescheduled for the following week. Sean, a pleasant, professionally dressed tech, came as scheduled. However, he insisted that I sign a 12 month contract with the company prior to doing the work! Despite the contract stating that I could cancel upon 60 days notice AFTER the one year period, Sean said that I could cancel at any time. I'd paid for the deal already, so let him do the work. He did the inside, and then said he would do the crawl space and the outside. I was working and did not follow him out, but a few minutes later he was sitting in his truck outside. Shortly thereafter, he was gone without a word. I didn't hear him in the crawl space nor did I see him do the exterior perimeter. Upon inspection I didn't see any of the granules around the exterior as the deal stated. and cobwebs were still there. I called the company and finally got to Garrett again. He assured me that if I wasn't satisfied with the work that Bulwark guaranteed its services. And of course I could certainly cancel at any time, "Hehe, sometimes our techs have difficulty explaining things." While the effectiveness of their extermination has yet to be determined, they've left me feeling duped and aggravated! Not what I would expect from Angie's List!

Were so satified by the first treatment we had them out again today. No bugs. Just want to keep it that way.

The service went well. They were out within a few days of me purchasing the deal. They were very prompt. They sprayed both the interior and exterior of the house. They called me afterwards to follow up and make sure I was satisfied.

Purchased three mosquito treatments. Did not come for the first, I had to call to get them to come. Then the following two months was the same. They never showed up. I am still owed the last treatment. Each time I was told the man in my area did not have the proper equipment. I expect to have them come each month not for me to have to keep calling to schedule.

We still have insects in our house. Have used better companies before. Sorry I changed and they didn't cost as much and they did a better job.

I found I had an ant problem that after a couple of personal tries, I determined that I needed professional help. I heard about Bulwark through Angie's List and after I made a phone inquiry to ask about my situation and to make sure there application was dog friendly, I scheduled an apt for service. Everyone I talked to was polite, professional and friendly including Ben S who was the tech that came to my place. In addition, Ben was very informative of the process he was applying and was very efficient in his application. Thanks Ben for a job well done!

She was very informative on where the insects were entering the house.

It worked like a charm! No issues over the past year until recently and we are having them come back out to spray again.

They came out repeatedly until my pest issue was taken care of, but it took a long time.

My experience has been good. I am still using them for the service. I like that they come out every 2 months. They are here for about 5 minutes so I do not have a whole lot of interactions with them. However, they are keeping the ants away with their treatments.

They were excellent! They were attentive and they called me right back. They came out when they said they would. The crew were neat in appearance and did everything they said they would do.

It turned out fine. We had no problems with scheduling and they were very accommodating and worked around our schedule. My husband mainly dealt with them and indicated they good and professional. The treatment took care of the problem and they indicated if we had any additional problems they would come out and treat at no additional cost.

At first it went well. they called and set the appointment up. The gentleman came out as scheduled. I wasn't at home but the exterminator was able to access the house. He called me and said that he did the inside but would need to come back to do the outside because I had a repairman out and he didn't want to interfere with his work. He was suppose to come back in 3 days, 5 days later... no exterminator! So I called and they had no record of me period. But they agreed to send someone out. The other problem I have is that I told them I have 2 big issues, ants coming in the dining room, and a wasp nest outside. I was told they would take care of these issues. After the first visit, 4 days later I have ants, I had to buy and additional insect spray to kill them. the second time he came out I showed him where the wasp nest was at and he said that his treatment would care of them. I STILL have wasp in the same place that I had them before the before.

I expected more-complete extermination Did not feel like the service was completed.

While we were pleased with Bulwark Exterminating we were dissatisfied by the overwhelming number of calls and emails we received from Angie's List about the service from the time of purchase to several weeks after. We'd like to request that all communication from Angie's List about this purchase be terminated. Please do not follow up on this. Thank you.

The service man asked questions about indoor and outdoor bugs. He finished his job quickly and told us to call if problems with bugs emerged and they would return for free to respray!

I had ants and bugs. When they came to do the ants. They came and they were gone. It wasn't a good experience. The thing that bothered me the most is they were using the glue trap and when I said I didn't want to use those, he handed me a mouse trap expecting me set it myself.

Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable. Have continued using their services after initial deal from Angie's List.
