Buck's Lawn Service

We're very pleased with the service. It is a young guy who started his own business. He hussles and works hard and makes sure that his guys do so as well. He get's it done right and leaves the place with it looking excellent. I have used them for several years now and we have always been satisfied.

First appointment was on 12/30/11 at noon.  Rearranged my day off only to have them call at 11:30 that they wouldn't be able to make it and would call to reschedule.  I had to call twice to get a new date.  Made an appointment for first thing in the morning on 1/12/11.  They didn't show up until after 1pm and then said that they could do the gutters, but that they didn't have the tools to clean up leaves and debris and would have to come back. What kind of "premier service landscaping company" (their description from their website - not mine) doesn't have the correct equipment to remove leaves, vines, etc?   Especially when it was clear what they were coming to do.  They came back on 1/16/11 and I think they thought I wasn't going to be here.  It wasn't until I was outside doing other work that they actually seemed to start working.  The minute I went inside, they packed up and left after only completing 90 minutes worth of work.  They didn't haul away any of the yard waste or bring any refuse bags, etc.  I had to provide for them.  Also, when they cleaned out the gutters on the back of the house, they blew all the old leaves into the wooded area of my yard.  Now I can hire someone else to clean that up.  I'm just glad I didn't pay full price.  Guess you get what you pay for.  Absolutely would NOT recommend.

Terrible job:

1. Supposedly two hours of work, but they barely blew any of the leave (probably a 1/5 of the work I expected them to do) and they did not bag the leaves.  Not sure how they could spend so much time and do little.  The quality was quite poor, too.  

2. I had to call 4 times (and leaving 3 voice messages) before I was able to get ahold of this company and set up a time for the appointment.  

3. They were unfriendly and unprofessional.

This was a terrible experience. First of all, they didn't show up three times in a row. The first time, I called them and they were confused about the date and thought we scheduled for the next week. The second time, I waited hours and finally called, and found out that the power washing machine had broken. The least they could have done was call me and inform me that there was an issue. The third time, I never got a call again when they didn't show up, so when I called, I was told the repairs were behind schedule. I was frustrated because I had taken off work twice now to meet them, so I told him I thought they should perhaps consider power-washing my decks at no extra charge. He rudely responded that there was no way they'd do that. I was polite and let it go.They showed up the next day, and when I asked how much more it would be to power wash three deck surfaces, he said they could do one, but the others "had plants" growing out of them. They wouldn't even spend 3 minutes pulling some plants up out of the cracks in a deck - and they're a LANDSCAPING company! You'd think after the trouble they had caused me, they'd at least be willing to do do this.

Very unprofessional, unfriendly, and poor service. Avoid at all costs!
