They are absolutely amazing!!! Matt was such a great help and really took care with it project. He helped us do exactly what we wanted for the price we wanted and with wonderful service! Even when we messed something up on accident he personally came out to check on it and had his tile guys spend an extra two days with us to fix what we messed up. This the best company we could’ve gone with!!! We will use them again!!!

Unsatisfactoryl! Below tile industry standards which was confirmed by three professional tile installers. Sloppy work, excessive lipage of tiles (uneveness) sloppy and uneven grout lines soiled my custom built 90 yr. old barn wood ceiling, poor customer service skills. Installer not experienced enough which created the unfavorable end results. Not being able to comprehend and speak English well contibuted to the issue. Due to the installer's unwillingness or lack of knowledge didn't compensate for the unleveled walls which forced tile removal, and re-installation. I was informed I had to pay an additional $300.00 for the labor. My shower is STILL incomplete, and have called the owner to come and access the work, he informed me he would be at my residence May 15. He never showed nor called. He finally came out 18 days later after I reported him to NC Attorney General. He has not responded to Attorney General after receiving two letters, and has yet to reply to my June 12 letter in which I have asked for a complete refund with compensation for tear out and custom ceiling. I have spoken with four people who are in the construction service industry who have confirmed he has "poor" business ethics. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS company to anyone based on this unprofessional and "bad' business ethics.

The installers left a terrible mess - I spent days chipping grout off my floors, doorknobs, baseboards, etc. In the bathroom the tile doesn't line up around the corners and we cannot get them to come fix it. They are giving us the run around.

The tile install was good. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate it a 7. However, we had a major issue due to one of the workers leaving a paper towel full of fecal matter hidden in a wall that I discovered a couple days after the job. The owner has taken no ownership in this and offered no reasonable remedy to our concern. This went from a fairly pleasant transaction to one of the filthiest and most disgusting things I have dealt with. The workers from ACE were the only folks in our home doing work so it is obvious it came from them. We provided them a full bathroom to use while they were on site working. Most all of them used the restroom provided. The owner offered us a gift card to "eat" as his proposed solution. After retrieving those paper towels bare handed and seeing what I saw I am not really in the mood to "eat".

The team at Ace, Matt and Marcus, were knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.   They had good tile selection at the store and were attentive and helpful as we went through the process of tile selection.   Their installation team of Dalton and Audi were meticulous and creative.   They had to add some framing for the door and to center the soap and shampoo niche.   The project took more effort than they expected; nevertheless they honored the quoted price.   The bathroom looks great and we are very pleased with our interaction with Ace Tile.   We plan to use them again when we remodel our master bathroom.

The heating wire was installed incorrectly and cannot be connected to the electric without causing a fire hazard.  We gave the instructions to the provider which plainly state that the wire cannot be cut and must all be buried beneath the tile with no leftover wire.  They left approx 30 feet left over and one end and 50 feet at the other.  They did not bury the sensor that connects to the thermostat so temperature could be adjusted.  Our electrician refused to connect the heating wire to the electric as it would cause a fire hazard.  The provider suggested a second opinion from an electrician he trusted.  His electrician agreed that the wire was installed incorrectly and needed to be redone properly.  The provider then contacted the manufacturer of the heating wire and they confirmed that the leftover wire could not be cut.  The provider suggests WE purchase additional tile so they can bury the leftover wire in adjacent rooms that are already floored the way we want and would look foolish with partial tile.  We have had no satisfaction from the provider.
In addition to the heating fiasco, the general tile installation was shoddy.  The tile corners are uneven and the tile was installed with no consideration of mixing the tiles so the patterns would appear random.

Upon initial contact with the store we were quoted a price for doing the work. We were originally going to have a half bath and the kitchen done. We decided to have only the half bath done and suddenly there was a much higher price for the install per square foot. They indicated that there was a minimum installation charge which we had to go with because they had us over a barrel at that point and we needed it done soon.

The job was completed and a few weeks later a crack appeared in one of the tiles. Multiple calls have been made and the repair has not been done. We did finally receive a call back on 9/16/2014 stating that the repair would be done on 9/17/2014 or 9/18/2014 but they never called back to come out to do the work.

I would definitely not recommend using this merchant. They were overpriced and do not stand behind the quality of their installation.

It went great them. There were problems and they had to come back a few times but it was okay. It just one company but there were three different crew doing the work. The carpet guys were great. The linoleum flooring guys were great. The hardwood flooring guys were okay. The overall experience with everything was very good. There were problems and I took care of the problems. It was no trouble and I had no problems with them. I had a few problems which they took care of.

I only had problem with the hard flooring crew because they were rushing and they did not speak English so I cannot understand what they were saying.

They were not the cheapest company but they have been around a while and they were recommended to me.

Their choice of tiles was good. They were good and the contractors they sent were really good as well. They were reliable, did the work on time, and did a good job.

Our initial visit with Ace at the store we were able to locate and design the layout of the material for our kitchen model remodel.
The installation was scheduled and few days later and they arrived on time as scheduled. The installer was patient and professional and did an outstanding job. He worked with us and had to remove and re-install the area over the new stove as our initial thought wasn't balanced. This is part of the reason that he didn't finish in one day and had to return the next morning. The completed product exceeds our expectations.

They were willing to do extra dealing to make the deal work for us price wise. They were able to get installers in there promptly and they came ahead for a free estimate, and at the end of the project the person who came to do the estimate came to check on the work to make sure that I was happy. I was pretty impressed with their customer service. The installation, the product and the material was all good stuff, so I am happy with that.

This was a pretty good experience. The job was done well and the work looks good. The project did last longer than expected. I would consider them in the future.

Ace Tile and Floor Design did an outstanding job. I would recommend them because of the quality of their service and their price is good and the fact that they repaired old tiles instead of buying new ones.

I had purchased the lumber for the floors myself. They noticed a discrepancy in the mill dates of the lumber and brought it to my attention so it could be rectified. They were professional and honest. They could have just installed the floors but it ultimately would have affected the quality of their work.

From the start David took me to several granite warehouses to find the right one. Once chosen and countertops were in David and team installed the countertop and it looks beautiful.

David and his team have done many projects for me and my family. We had CCD lay hardwood up our stairs and landing and tile a bathroom, we have done replacement carpeting for the upstairs bedrooms, and we also had CCD scrape the popcorn ceilings and re-plaster them throughout the entire house. We have used David for 3 separate projects and he is always my first call when I need to work done at my house. His work is always excellent and the craftsmanship is superior to anyone else I have used in the Charlotte area.

David met me the same day I contacted him as he knew we were in a hurry to get the work completed. He provided an incredibly reasonable estimate. We had priced granite countertops from others(including a company that uses a veneer over existing countertops)and David's price was much more reasonable. When he shared what it would cost to tile the backsplash, we decided to do that as well. In the course of talking to him about the work we were doing on this investment property, we mentioned needing carpeting for four rooms. He offered to provide an estimate for that, which he did. He met the lowest estimate we had found in a carpet warehouse but it was so much more convenient with him. He brought over samples and all we had to do was choose the one we wanted and he took care of the rest. He consistently went above and beyond to please us, even offering to pick up some additional tile that was needed for the backsplash. Additionally, we had a water heater cover in the kitchen that was an eyesore and he suggested a remedy to that which we did and now, you can't tell there's a water heater under the granite!
