The day after Mr. Conner tore out my old tile and installed new tile on the backsplash, my one week old garbage disposal would not work. When Mr. Conner arrived that morning, I asked him what he did to my garbage disposal. He said he didn't know. Well, I gave him the little allen wrench that fit into the disposal under the sink, and he was able to move the blades. Out popped a screw that must have fallen in from one of the light plates Mr. Conner removed. He said "I should have covered the sink." The disposal ran fine so I thought that was the end of the problem. I didn't notice a leak under my sink until about 3 weeks later. I called a plumber who asked me what did I put down the disposal as he found a screw hole in the casing of the garbage disposal and said that it needed to be replaced. He said not to use that side of the sink until I replaced the disposal. He said the new garbage disposal, including installation would cost me $150.00. I called Mr. Conner and he said he would get back to me the next day. He did not, and I called him. He said that he would call me by the next afternoon, and he did not and I ended up calling him that evening. He then said he needed a couple of days to see if he could get a cheaper plumber or get it fixed instead of replacing it. I waited a couple of days and finally called him that evening. I left a voice message asking him to call me, which he did not do. Finally, I left him a voice mail the next morning telling him it appeared that he did not have any intention of paying for the garbage disposal and that I was out $150, and that I was going to call the BBB and local tile shops and let them know what he did to me. He then immediately called me back but I did not answer the phone at that time. Mr. Conner did not like that and as a result, for the next several hours he continued to leave me seven filthy, vulgar voicemails calling me every name in the book and said he had better things to do than jump up and fix my garbage disposal. He continued to call and leave just absolutely filthy, disgusting voice mails. He was so angry that I didn't answer the phone that he actually came to my house that same morning. I didn't want to answer the phone, as I was angry and I didn't want to talk to him while was angry. But, I finally did answer the phone and told him I was at work, and he said he was at my house. According to one voice message, if I wasn't going to answer the phone, he would make sure I would listen to him (so he came to my house). He even rang my neighbor's door bell but they didn't answer. They just heard him screaming abuses on his cell phone. Her granddaughter was really scared. I finally had to fix the disposal myself and I sent him the bill. He still hasn't paid for the disposal. I have uploaded all his voice mails that he left me. If you would like to hear them, please advise.
Description of Work: He did a backsplash tile for us.

Response from Creative Custom Flooring
Client admitted to hiring illegal aliens to come two days prior to obtain to my services. Additionally client admits to threatening them with immigration services if any damages incurred were not repaired. Client assumed risk when choosing to hire illegal immigrants which were not held by any standard regulations nor are they insured. Upon arrival of job site, client specifically requested that protection were made throughout the kitchen for all surfaces including sink. Client fails to confirm this fact. Extended pieces of cardboard were placed over sink to prevent damages. Client was satisfied with the final product and had no complaints. However, client had a side request for me to look at her garbage disposal. I assisted client and resolved the issue by removing a screw. Client called me two days after completion, accusing me of scratching her sink. She later called back apologizing as is she was informed that I could not have caused the scratch. A month later client called with a plumber on location, reporting her disposal stopped working and requesting that I issue a check right then for repair. Client accused me of dropping a screw down the drain damaging it. This is virtually impossible as all surfaces including sink, were protected from such incidences. I requested a few days to conduct research. All though I felt at no fault, I began researching prices for labor and repairs. Client then calls back before allowing me an opportunity to conclude my research, threatening the integrity of my company. Client said that she would contact all tile affiliated distributors, Realtor, and contractors. I do not believe that my services effected clients sink or disposal. All proper precautions were observed and professionalism was maintained throughout contract period. However client had been unreasonably demanding and unwilling to assume responsibility for issues which do not relate to my services. The probability that this occurred as a result of the work done prior to my services is more likely than not. However client is also aware that these laborers do not hold insurance, therefor I feel that this client is pointing the finger in the wrong direction only to try to get something for nothing. I attempted to address matters with the client and after a significant amount of disrespect had been bestowed upon my company and myself.I did choose to speak out of emotion and failed to handle the situation in best of ways - like the client. I regret to inform that I will only accept responsibility for the services in which I specialized and am contracted.
