Due to the weather, my appointment had to be rescheduled multiple times. I was contacted promptly and had consistent communication and updates regarding scheduling. Once the weather cooperated, getting the service done was quick and efficient.

Michael Hall was a young gentleman. He worked quietly, cheerfully and efficiently, cleaning very dirty windows.

Excellent. Not charged for gutter as he said it was fairly clean. Just charged $15.

I did not spend more than the $59 deal. I thought that their price was good and they were punctual. They cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy with them. I find that the price was really good, they did the job and were gone. I have no problems with them.

We had indicated that we would clean the gutters on the standalone garage since they would be easier to do. But he went ahead and cleaned them as well at no additional cost to us!

The work was accomplished on time and on schedule.

I was very pleased with the service provided. They didn't try to push any additional costs and were very explanatory about the things that they did find.

He had to reschedule a few times due to the weather, but he always contacted me and kept me informed as to the situation. They came while I was gone and by the time I got home my gutters were clean and there was no mess below.

Oak City Home Services was suppose to clean my gutters on Thursday, January 29th, and they never showed or called to cancel. I called Michael, the owner, on Friday and we scheduled an appointment for Monday. The crew showed up on Monday morning and cleaned my gutters. Except for the one miscommunication they are a good company and they did an excellent job cleaning my gutters.

Went well. A mixup in lack of communication but I was to blame for some of it. He was very professional and did great work. I'll use him again.

I purchased the Big Deal on Angie's List for gutter cleaning. I was promptly contacted to verify contact details, etc and to discuss the additional charge for extra square footage. (which was mentioned in the deal I purchased) The only real problem that I had was that my service was rescheduled at least three times due to weather delays. And while I can understand the delays associated with weather, it is pretty clear that the scheduling assumes perfect weather or else there will be a reschedule. In fact on the last reschedule, I was scheduled for Saturday and reconfirmed Thursday (and Michael confirmed Saturday) but then it rained Saturday (which was in the forecast on Thursday) and I was bumped to Tuesday. The good news is that I didn't have to be home for the service but the numerous reschedules was inconvenient especially when some bad weather could have been anticipated given the forecast. That said, once the service was provided, the quality of the service was excellent and I was happy with the results. Additionally I was able to pay the additional charge on line which was also a nice convenience.

They were very responsive and communicated weather related delays exceptionally well. I was pleased with their service and will use them again.

On 12/24/14, I confirmed via email with Michael Hall of Oak City Home Services to come to my house on 1/6/15 to clean the dryer vent. 'We intend to arrive at approximately 9am to begin the service.', per Michael. On January 6th, no one from Oak City had arrived by 9:30 am. I called Michael and left a message to find out when they were arriving. By 10 am, I had not received a call back nor did anyone arrive from Oak City. I sent an email letting Michael know that I had called and left a message and that I could not wait at home any longer for their arrival. I left ~ 10:15 am and when I arrived home ~ 1:15 pm, there were 2 voice messages left on my home phone. The first message from Michael indicated that he had me down on the schedule for 12 pm and apologized for the mix-up. The 2nd message from Michael indicated that he came to my house ~ 12 pm and completed the work. I did find a bunch of lint on the ground below the vent opening. But, nothing was done inside the home with the dryer hose attached to the clothes dryer and into the wall behind the dryer because I was not home; I planned to be at home for the service call. When I have had this service done in the past, the service included both inside the house and from outside the house cleaning. I called Michael and left a message asking about cleaning from the inside of the house. I have as yet received a call or email from him in response. At this point, I feel that the full service to be provided was not provided. I do not plan to work with Oak City Home Services in the future.

Michael is an absolute pleasure to work with: polite, responsive, professional, and honest. After giving us a quote on a gutter issue (clogged downward run), he realized when he was doing the work that it was far easier than what he had quoted - and reduced his price accordingly on the spot. I will absolutely use him again for gutter cleaning and will definitely consider him for the other services he offers (window cleaning, pressure washing) when I need those. Most of the people that work on my house have earned my trust over years of reliable service. Although this was only one service, I feel that Michael has earned a spot as my first choice for gutter work for a long time to come.

It went very well. It was fine. They did a really good job. They came out a couple of weeks after I made the purchase. There was no additional charge. Everything was cleaned up. It looked really good. They were excellent. Their responsiveness was excellent.

They rescheduled twice. Once was due to weather. I have no complaints. I would use them again if the service is offered at the same price.

Provider was very responsive during the scheduling of this service, and was very good about letting me know when he had to reschedule due to weather delays. He called when on his way as requested and was very courteous and informative when he arrived. Not only did he clean our gutters, but the entire surface of our roof. After cleaning he blew all of the debris all the way out to the street. I would highly recommend Oak City Home Services and will be using them again! Thanks!

They just didn't have the capacity to do the job. They got here and they said they couldn't do it because they didn't have the right ladder for my house. They were very helpful and professional.

Very professional and responsive. I had more linear feet of gutter coverage and price was very fair in addition to the deal. Work was excellent. Downspouts are now running efficiently with ALL debris removed. Highly recommended!!!!

I bought a $59 coupon, he left message on Angieslist which I did not know, then I left message on his number, not heard back from him for a week, then I called Angie's to cancel, he called me back on that day. After that everything went well.

Overall things went well. I purchased the Big deal and Oak City Home Services contacted me immediately to set up an appointment. Michael is very professional and they did the job quickly. The gutters are clear and they did a good job cleaning up the leaves around our house. I would definitely hire them again for future home services!
