Mulch was requested as part of a Big Deal. They called to say the Big Deal had been misstated and corrected it to offer shredded bark rather than pure hardwood. Because the actual offer is from sustainable practices, where the misstated one is not, I was fine with the change. Someone came and measured the area I wanted mulched, which was much larger than the Big Deal offer and quoted me a price. They let me know the waiting time was about 3 weeks (which seemed long, but I don't know if it was weather related or Big Deal related). I paid 1/2 up front. They let me know when they would be here. I was not able to be present, but when I got home, the mulch had been spread on all the areas requested, to the depth I purchased. I am very happy with all of the aspects of this Big Deal - price, responsiveness, actual delivery of the service and how my area looks now that the mulching is complete. I sent the final payment that day. I give Pine Valley a big shout out for doing a great job.

They were all much higher than the price of the deal itself. They were very friendly.

They did an amazing job! The only negative was how long it took to get on the schedule. They were booked solid for 1-2 months.

it went very well. two workmen showed up early and completed the work in a timely manner. workmen were very professional and did a very fine job with the edging. i would have preferred a higher grade of mulch, but this will do for now to prevent weeds and create a uniform appearance in that bed.

Until lately no issues but now we have been skipped with the mowing and poor communication with us, leave voice mail and no response, and 4 days to respond to e-mail. We think that the price is high for the service that we are receiving and will soon will stop our service with them.

They do a great job. I've hired them to do my weekly mowing, weeding, and treatments because of their attention to detail and promptness.

The work completed by the workers was excellent. However, it took weeks after first purchasing the big deal on Angie's List before they finally showed up to perform the service. They never called prior to coming out to perform the service, so I wasn't prepared for their arrival, as I had an appointment the day they arrived and had to leave the workers on-site only hoping they would finish the work as requested. Luckily they did. However, because they never called to set an appointment and the fact that the work wasn't performed until several weeks following the purchase of the big deal, I am not really sure I could recommend them.

They were here when they said they would and were finished in no time. They did an excellent job of picking up all the trimmings so you would never had known they had been here. Have more work for them.

All in all it was a very nice experience and I would certainly use them again. The big deal I purchased was for $165 for $500 worth of mulch and linear edging. I added to this an additional $2500 worth of mulch (including a relatively higher end one for my daughter's play yard). It was a wonderful experience all around, both from the sales side and with the team who actually performed the work. They were professional, timely and very kind to my 5-year-old daughter who was so excited to get out there with them to help with her shovel and wheelbarrow (but of course only slowed them down). The only small exception which brought their quality down a touch (and to be fair, would have been more likely an A- if that option was available) was that our yard is highly landscaped and after looking closely after they left, there were some areas where they weren't as careful of the existing plants and irrigation as I would have hoped. They also sprayed a weed killer (which I know for many people isn't a problem and would be considered a nice addition) but that step was not included in the "weeding" line item and I would have declined if I had known. That said, the moment that I noticed and went to tell them to stop, the team was very polite and apologetic and I do believe they would have gone back and fixed anything around the plants I had noticed at the time. As I stated at the beginning, all in all it was a great experience and I would recommend them and certainly use them again.

While they responded in a day or two, they indicated they were a few weeks out and I inquired about the quality of the mulch. It is not the quality I would have expected. I had hoped it would have been a cypress or hardwood mulch. In speaking with the company, she indicated this would have added a $100 to the cost. I feel the deal should have been more specific as to the actual type of mulch being offered. Their contact was responsive and she explained all the options to me.

They did exactly what was contracted for and left everything neat and in place.

I did not get responded to until I went to Angie’s List asking about a refund. After that I was reached out to immediately and they told me they couldn’t get ahold of me. I received poor follow through. However, when they came out, the workers were clean and did a very nice job. The workers themselves were very professional but the home office was not. I liked the service and it was a good value for the money.

This company did an excellent job of mulching around my house and trees. Arrived promptly and worked nonstop till the job was done. Clean up was good and I was surprised at the thickness of the mulch. Very heavy and good quality mulch. I will definitely use them next year. Great job!

The company was going to charge too much for service.

The guys did a great job. They were friendly and professional, and it all went pretty quickly. I would definitely use them again!

They were ok. They came out while I was not home even though I requested them to come while I was home. They spread the mulch mainly where I wanted it but had I been home I would have hired them for more work.

Xiomara shared with me that they were very busy and had two landscaping jobs and that July 17 would be the earliest anyone could discuss the work with me and that the work could be scheduled after that. I wanted the work done soon. I will be more cautious in the future if I consider using Angie's list. This was not a good experience for me. It took up a lot of time and was at best frustrating.

They were out 3-5 weeks just to visit site for evaluation. Not in our preferred scheduling time frame.

It went well. They were on time and very polite. He was a very nice young man. He did the areas that I pointed out.
