+ -1 moreIt went fantastic! Unfortunately we had siding that was damaged from a grill and required repair/replacement. I reached out to my builder and they recommended this company. I called Mr. Kemp and he was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. He knew exactly what we needed and explained the process and pricing. In order to get the exact color match to our 8 year old siding, he/his crew visited multiple locations until they found the exact color match, they came and removed the damaged siding and installed the new siding and it looks brand new! They began and completed the job in one morning. I could not be more thrilled with their communication, experience, professionalism, and quality of work. I will use them for any repairs that we will need and they offer. It is really hard to find honest and dependable companies these days, and Mr. Kemp and his company were everything you could ask for in a company. It was a very stressful situation to have damage to your exterior of your home, but Mr. Kemp came in and took care of all of it, it was such a relief! My husband and I are just so thrilled with their work and are so appreciative of all the extra effort they made for us.

We cannot wait to enjoy the new and elegant exterior of our home, along with the sturdy and maintenance-free deck. It is nice knowing that there are still companies out there who are honorable and put their clients first. I know we will use them again in the future for other projects.
Description of Work: We had several issues with our home that needed to be addressed. We were looking for a contractor who would be able to handle everything as one big project. From residing our house, installing missing flashing over the garage, windows, and doors, to replacing our deck and adding a partial roof over it, Michael and his team delivered. We are over the moon happy, with how it all turned out. We had several different contractors come out to assess our project. As we were looking for someone who would be able to address the many components of our project using knowledgeable trades and quality materials, we wanted this project on our “forever” home to be done right. Of the several different contractors we met, Michael stood out to us. His knowledge and experience in construction made the decision to go with his company easy. Besides being the owner of Lasting Impressions Home Solutions, Michael was also personally involved in the project. From his initial estimate to him overseeing the project on-site, we felt confident throughout the project that we were in good hands. The quality of the work, fair price, professionalism, polite crews, and of course, his pride in good quality work shows that he was the right contractor for our project. Michael’s team resided the entire exterior of our home with James Hardie Color Plus. As Lasting Impressions Home Solutions is a James Hardie approved installer, Michael made sure that all James Hardie Products were correctly installed. For our new deck, the framers built a sturdy structure on new, solid footings. We chose TimberTech Azek Polymer Decking for our deck boards. Kevin, Michael’s specialist for composite decking, came out to install the multi-width pattern we had chosen. With the hidden cortex screw system, you can hardly see the plugs. Kevin was very meticulous, which shows in his work. The new aluminum railing (Fortress Al13) is rock solid without obstructing our view. The roof extension over a portion of the deck looks seamless, and the IKO Nordic shingles blend in perfectly with the rest of the house. At the end of the project, the siding crew came back and wrapped the support posts of the deck and roof to match the new trim. Now everything is consistent as if it was always meant to be there. Michael’s hardscape team removed a section of our old concrete path, graded the area, and then installed a new paver path.

Based on the anticipated scope of work and spend, we spent a few months meeting with a wide range of contractors. We were immediately impressed with Michael, the owner of Lasting Impressions Home Solutions. For starters, we dealt directly with him - not a salesperson. His proposal was extensive and thoughtful - not a bulleted list or email. Lastly, we appreciated his sense of pride and commitment to delivering a high quality product - siding is a commodity, the differences are in the details. For a sense of scope, Michael and his team were tasked to fully reside our two story house with James Hardie, custom window trim, close in our attic vents and install new ridge vents, replace and reframe two rotted garage windows and install new gutters and downspouts. Throughout the process, Michael was present, accessible for questions and clarifications, and accommodating to unexpected issues and repairs. When I became stressed, he remained calm and confident. "Aren't you glad you hired Michael?" my wife reinforced throughout the entire project. To say Michael and his crew transformed our house would be an understatement. We couldn't be more happy with the final outcome. We would highly recommend Lasting Impressions Home Solutions to anyone in the greater Charlotte area who are looking for to hire a trustworthy team to deliver high quality work for their exterior home project.

+ -1 moreIm completely impressed with Michael and Lasting Impressions Home Solutions. I would not call myself the easiest of customers but Micheal was patient and valued me as a customer. Our relationship started when I asked Michael for a renovation quote on a property I was planning to flip, however I was outbid on the property. We ended up closing on another property a month or so later and again needed a quote from Michael. I was impressed how responsive he was. After we closed they got to work adding insulation and moisture barrier to the underside of the property. This was the first job I’ve hired them for and certainly wont be the last. Im choosing to work with Michael because he is honest, fair, communicative, reliable, and focused. + 0 moreWe had a contractor come to our home in Matthews to give us a quote on repairing some rot on the siding in the rear of the house. The contractor stated that the work was too complex and beyond his scope. Both the gas line and the electrical supply line coming into the house were located on the siding where the rot was. This would require the expertise of several technicians as well as a contractor. The first contractor then recommended Lasting Impressions Home Solutions because he had worked with Michael Kemp and his crew at Lasting Impressions on several occasions in the past and found them to be very qualified. We called Michael and he came out to the house to inspect the damage and give us a quote. We felt his quote was fair but more than that Michael stated that he would arrange for and/or coordinate all the materials and technicians necessary to complete the total job. This relieved us of a great deal of work and frustration. A day before the job one of Michael’s crew members delivered all the needed materials for the job. The next morning, Michael and his crew showed on time and began the job. Michael himself stayed with his crew for a number of hours to insure that the job was begun properly. When he had to leave, he left his foreman in charge to keep things moving. The job was completed with no complications, including work on the gas and electrical lines. We are very satisfied with not only the excellent quality of the work but also the professionalism that Michael and his crew demonstrated while completing their work. We highly recommend Michael Kemp and Lasting Impressions Home Solution to anyone who is looking for quality work at a reasonable cost.

They are a window and roofing company and was willing to come out and do this small job for me. They will always be first call for any exterior work that I may need in the future. Oh and I will be contacting them for windows replacement estimate. And I know that they will be my first and possibly only consideration.

+ 0 moreMichael Kemp was the representative. Very professional and knowledgeable. He did a detailed site survey and actually raised some concerns I had not thought of. He was very responsive, both with scheduling the estimate site survey and delivering his project proposal. We would have definitely gone with Lasting Impressions except his proposal was higher than his closest competitor. While there were slight differences in the two proposals, I could not justify the difference in cost. However, I would definitely contact Lasting Impressions again in the future!

+ -1 moreMy background consists of 30+ years in industrial related architectural/structural design and construction working for Fortune 500 companies in their engineering departments and at the sites. Of the four solicited estimates Mike provided the most complete and detailed. It was obvious from the initial telephone conversation that his knowledge base in residential construction was excellent and his material selections was the best of the bunch. I gave an 'A' on price although his quote was in the middle of the pack on a monetary basis, BUT; the price relative to his proposed materials and scope of work was superior to the others. His proposal offered the best value. I wanted good quality and longevity, not the cheapest (inferior) that would have to be addressed again in 5 years. Responsiveness to calls and emails for follow up questions was prompt. A scope addition was accepted with no hassle. Scheduling updates were provided leading up to the start date. After finally getting a break in the rainy weather work was performed over three straight days. Crew was hard working and diligent. After completion I provided a short punch list which was promptly addressed with no hassle. SUMMATION: Competitive price. Quality materials. Qualified owner and crew. Excellent experience. Excellent GCs' (general contractors) providing a good experience are a rare breed these days.
Description of Work: 2 Roof Dormers and Garage Gable Fascia - Remove existing siding, blackboard sheathing, fascia boards, trim boards and moulding. Replace with cement based Hardi cement based products and PVC over OSB boards and building wrap.

His estimate was very detailed and priced fairly so we decided to move forward. During the (approximately) 2 week job Michael was in constant communication with updates and making sure we were satisfied. The Lasting Impressions crew was experienced and it showed. Their quality of work blew us away. Michael made suggestions I had not even thought of that added to the overall quality of siding our house now has. During the project I was very impressed with the materials & techniques the crew used to wrap the fascia / soffit areas - so I asked if it was possible to expand the scope of the project to do the same to my shed. Michael quickly came back with a fair price to add in that work and it was done within a day or two. Any time an issue arose Michael went above & beyond to make it right and ensure our utmost satisfaction. Since the job was finished I have had multiple neighbors compliment our house and thank us for investing to help raise the overall look of the neighborhood. Our 1989 construction home now looks brand new thanks to the hard work and top-notch craftsmanship of Lasting Impressions Home Solutions.

I can't think of a single thing to be unhappy with from the initial estimating process through completion. I'm an out-of-state property owner and they kept me in the loop with progress updates and pictures every step of the way. They're honest, fair and were willing to go the extra mile offering to shop for and install the new exterior lighting fixtures that would put the finishing touches on the house. The feedback from the realtor and other contractors has been excellent.
