Two Maids & A Mop

The first time they came to clean, things went well.  There were 2 ladies and they stayed around 2 hours.  The house was done well, but was far from perfect.  I've had lots of different maid services and none are perfect.  So I would say they were as good as any of the others we have had.  
The second time they came to clean, things went very different.  They sent only one person and she left after an hour and a half.  My husband was swamped with work that day and didn't have time to check her work before she left.  But we knew it couldn't have been as good.  There is no way one person can do in 90 minutes what it took two others 2 hours to complete.  90 minutes in my house (which is roughly 3000 sg ft) equates to 9 minutes per room.  I contacted the company to explain the situation. While they offered to come out to "look", they assured me that the house must be clean.  The person that was onsite was a trainer, "one of the best".  So they were sure she didn't miss anything.  And they wanted to come out to "look" during the day which was going to inconvenience me further.  I asked if they were willing to refund a portion of the money that was paid.  I even sent pictures once I got home of the clearly poor job that was done.  They refused.  So basically, I paid $144 for 90 minutes worth of work - that I only had to redo myself.

Great service and good job. Owner comes by after the services to inspect the job and requires more cleaning if needed.

Today I was unable to have my regular cleaning lady, ( who is wonderful) and was sent two new (to me) workers.  They were on time and very professional and kind.  They asked exactly what do I need to have done and as requested, paid particular attention to my mother's "apartment' area.  She was very pleased.  What was especially wonderful, one of the workers found my mother's diamond stud earring that has been missing over a week and that none of us were able to help her find. I have been using Two Maids and a Mop for over a year and the cleaning of our home averages a 9 out of 10.  I am so glad to have a dependable company with courteous, kind and professional staff.

They always do an excellent job. They are always on time. When I was recovering from surgery they went the extra mile to help me.

The cleaning went exceptionally well.

They have been cleaning our house for almost a year, the first six months they did a great job; The last three cleanings have been awful. They come unprepared to clean our wood floors, they have to go back to the office to get the floor mop; they didn't dust in the master bedroom, nor did they empty the waste baskets or clean the kitchen wood floor

Team arrived on time and thoroughly cleaned house. This is the 4th time they have cleaned my house and it has looked great every time. I currently have them set up on a bi-weekly schedule. Although I would rather pay less for the service, I have not found a reputable cleaner whose price is better.

Not well at all. The quality of their cleaning was poor and they were under staffed. The business manager was coming out here often to do the cleaning. Just was not a good experience at all.

They did a great job! The two women were very professional and friendly. Arrived at the end of the hour-long window. They were FAST! I didn't expect to have everything done so quickly. Paid for 2 hours and they finished in 1 1/2 hours. Most everything was done well - I would have liked the vanity in the master bath a little cleaner, but in all fairness, I didn't check it well before they left. I would definitely call again in the future. The only downside was that I thought the price was a bit high and would have liked the price to be adjusted since they weren't at my home the entire time promised.

I would not recommend this company to anyone! The two girls arrived on time and began cleaning the upstairs bathroom on a Saturday. One of the girls came and told me there'd been an issue with the tile. She said she was using a toothbrush (later she changed it to a washcloth) on the tile and the tile had just and quot;fallenand quot; behind and down into the wall. When I asked why I wasn't told about this right away, I got no response. While the girls were apologetic and assured me that and quot;anything that breaks beneath our hands is coveredand quot;, I wasn't comfortable with them continuing to clean, so I asked them to leave. A company rep contacted me to set-up an appt. on Monday to photograph the spot. The manager showed up on Monday (40 minutes late with no apology/prior noticed) to look at the spot. Even though it was raining, both company employees wore their shoes inside my home and upstairs on the carpet. I found this odd as this company's job is to clean and beautify homes. I was told I would hear back shortly, but I had to follow-up with them on Thursday. After waiting about a week and a half, the company said they would not cover the damage as contractors (who they spoke with) said that there was no way they have caused the damage. She also said that the tile must have been cracked before their team started. First, this is absolutely not true. The tile was not damaged or compromised at all. If the tile was in such bad shape, as the company has claimed, why would the maid attempt to touch it at all? Second, it makes no sense why I would go through all of this if I knew the tile was damaged to begin with. I had to leave work to let them in to take photos, spend time on the phone with them, and my house never got cleaned the day they came. While I understand accidents happen, I expect a reputable company to follow through on their word- that they would replace anything that broke while they were working on it. It's great that they are insured, but it does me no good if they refuse to cover the damage! I also had out a tile repair company who told me, in their opinion, the maid could have caused the tile to break based on the pressure she was applying (the tile is in the bottom corner of a large whirlpool tub, so she was leaning into the small crevice with her weight behind her). When I told the company that I would be letting others know of my experience (via word-of-mouth and online reviews), she said that was fine as and quot;the company can cover themselvesand quot; with the reviews. If I can save another person from going through this, then I'm happy. I would consider another company for your cleaning needs- one who backs up what they say!

When I was told after 2 hours everything was done and I walked throughout the house, I was amazed how clean everything was in just that time.  This included an oversize MBR, MB that lives like a small apt for my mother, laundry room area, half bath, large kitchen, sun room, living room, dining room, small study and front hall.  The service was done cheerfully and very professionally.  I am so glad I chose this cleaning company and will happily recommend Two Maids and a Mop to my friends, neighbors and family.  My mother has many special 'treasures' and everything was carefully handled.  The ladies were asked to focus on my mother's quarters first then clean the rest of the downstairs home and they followed through exactly as requested.  I would be happy to answer any other questions you may have.  This is my first Angies List review and I am glad I have this opportunity to review such a wonderful company.
