TJ's Lawn Service

We have had a lawn care contract with TJ's since last year and renewed it for this year. They provide weekly cutting, seasonal fertilizing, weed control and seeding. Our grass (a lot) has never looked better. Passers by comment on it! They also provide shrub trimming and leaf removal as needed. Their weekly clean-up when they have finished is immaculate. They are completely reliable and wok hard and fast. We have also used them for tree removal. They hauled the trunks 3 or 400 feet on damp grass. It left superficial damage which concerned us at the time, now, a few months later, there is no trace of the damage. Excellent work, I really cannot imagine what they could do better.

I rely on Angies List a great deal and this is the only time that I have had a bad experience with a service provider I found on Angies. Initially Travis?s company TJs Lawn Service did a good job, but after a while, that began to change. There were times when they didn?t show up and I?m not talking about the weeks where heavy rains were a factor. The contract stated ?March-October weekly cutting, edging, blowing. October- December weekly leaf removal, maintain weeds, fertilization treatment?. Travis requires payment in advance so a client is trusting that he will do what he says he will. In the spring, Travis put down a chemical that literally killed every blade of grass in the yard including making my dog very ill. He said that his supplier gave him the wrong chemical and he apologized. He then reseeded the yard but none of the seed germinated. My water bill nearly doubled due to me trying to keep the seed moist. Travis said he got bad seed and he would try sod. Leary that this would work since we were now into hot summer weather, I said to just do the front yard and reseed backyard in the fall. Again, a lot of water was being put down only to have the sod die out. I should have looked for another lawn service at that time but during the summer it is hard to find a good company that is adding new customers. Then came fall. Travis?s crew blew all the leaves into my natural areas covering shrubs and ground covers. The following week they did the same thing. This time Travis was with his crew. When I voiced my concern, he blew up saying, ?I?m tired of people complaining about all these leaves and the service they are getting. . . There is only so much I can do?I?m canceling your service.? At first, I thought he must have had something happen earlier that morning that caused him to react in such a way, but no apology came and neither did the leaf removal that I had already paid for.

Doesn't know how to use a telephone. Sent a text late in the afternoon. And this was after two attempts at making an appointment in the first place. Apparently he can't handle any new business.

Great service. Arrived on time and they cleaned after they were done.

He is very meticulous and dedicated. He is on time and always lets us know if something is wrong with our lawn. His prices are reasonable. He is always prompt and courteous

He does lawn care as far as planting seeds, edging, cutting shrubs. He had the street blocked off for safety. I had never seen anybody cut shrubs the way he did. He had her yard looking really good. He worked a miracle on her yard. He always came in and asked if it met our expectations. He was prompt, he was courteous, he was professional.
