PAINTED PLUM

There were a lot of weather issues, and the work was not completed on time. In the beginning, there was a good written estimate that was drawn up, and when the owner came to the site, he basically changed everything and told us that we would have to pay more for the trim molding. They also had to tear down the whole structure and re-do it because the pitch was off on the roof. I was not pleased with this company, and I would not recommend them to anyone at all.

For the price of the project we received poor service and work. They did a poor job of painting the home, made multiple mistakes one after another. The hardwood floor was poorly done. The tile was done poorly too - raised my floor too high and the floor itself wasn't leveled. The project was not completed on-time based on the agreed upon due date. Working with these people you have to manage the project yourself and make sure the project was completed to your requirements and satisfaction (poor communication skills from both the owners and workers). We requested the work to be redone but always received reasons to why it is what it is. I will never recommend you using them for your projects.

MY WIFE AND I WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THE OVERALL REMODELING EXPERIENCE WITH PAINTED PLUM. THEY DESIGNED THE ADDITION FOR US, AND HELPED US PICK OUT ALL THE FIXTURES FOR INSTALLATION. THEY WERE VERY PATIENT AND INFORMATIVE ABOUT DIFFERENT STYLES, QUALITY, AND PRICE. THEY WERE HONEST AND UPFRONT ABOUT ANY PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED ONCE THE PROJECT GOT UNDER WAY, AND KEPT UNEXPECTED COSTS TO US AT A MINIMUM. WE WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN, AND RECOMMEND THEM TO OUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS.

I HIRED THIS COMPANY TO RENOVATE AN OLDER HOME--MY FIRST PROJECT LIKE THIS. THE PROJECT WAS SET TO BE COMPLETE THIS PAST SEPTEMBER(2004,) AND I'M STILL HAVING THEM COME BACK TO FINISH PARTS OF IT (MARCH 2005). I AM LIKELY TO HAVE TO HAVE MANY PORTIONS OF IT REDONE. IT WAS A VERY FRUSTRATING AND DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. I WAS OFTEN LEFT TO FEEL THAT PROBLEMS WERE MY FAULT. ON A BRIGHT NOTE, AT LEAST THEY ARE COMING BACK, BUT IT TOOK A LOT TO GET THEM TO COME BACK INCLUDING A VISIT TO AN ATTORNEY. I FOUND OUT LATER THAT WHILE THEY ARE LICENSED, THEY ARE NOT LICENSED (OR EXPERIENCED) TO BE ABLE TO DO A JOB THIS LARGE.

I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH POOR PAINTING, IT TOOK SO LONG AND YIELDED SO LITTLE QUALITY THAT I STILL HAVE TO HAVE SOMEBODY RETURN AND FINISH THE DOORS. THE MAJOR PROBLEM WAS THAT THEIR INTEREST IN COMPLETING INSTEAD OF COMPLETING THE JOB AND GETTING IT RIGHT.
