MALONE PLUMBING

Description of Work: ON 2/9/09 Brain Malone charged me labor up front to install a solenoid into my fireplace. He said that I could go one year. In Nov '09 telling him I wanted it fixed. I did not hear from him until JANUARY. I started calling him, he was busy, his kids were sick, Shannon, his wife, was in school. There were always excuses I told him my 1 yr. time limit was running out. Not to worry he said. he came in April and re-took the part number. That is the last I saw of him. His phone number has been disconnected. I emailed his wife. Nothing back. essentially, he has ripped me off big time. My bad, I trusted him b/c he had been fixing my toilet three or four times which I mow know was a nickel and dime me to death thing. One new plumber came and said to replace the toilet. He charged me $50 to install a $100 toilet. Brian kept coming back charging me $100-150 each trip to fix the handle, blah blah. I asked if we should just go get a new toilet. he said no b/c it would have stopped his nickel and dime the stupid customer to death. The first time I hired him, he was great and so reasonable. He replaced a ruptured hot water tank in my attic. But when my downstairs bath toilet started having small issues, (e.g. running, handle problems, etc...) he never just came and said, let's get a new toilet and be done with it...he kept getting easy money. The last time he was here he literally spent five minutes "fixing" the toilet. He strung me along on the prepaid labor for the fireplace b/c he knew he was going to NOT do the work. He knew he was disconnecting his number. I have called, emailed, called, emailed...I am being totally ignored. All of these trips were $150 here, $75 there..... Guess I am out $150 in labor...not to include all of the "fixing of the powder room toilet" that never got fixed. It was jimmy-rigged until the next call. The first plumber hired after him as I stated above told me ore than once how I got taken advantage of big time. It makes me very sad. I am not working and now need a plumber again. I thought he was a great person. Why does everyone have to be crooks?
