I highly recommend Tom for any computer issue or computer question you have. It's Thursday night and I'm packing to leave the next morning for the beach and my computer dies. After spending 2 agonizing hours on the phone with top level support for the security software, I'm told they can't help me. I call Tom and he came out that night and fixed the problem. I've called Tom several times over the past 10 years in a panic over untimely computer issues and he has always exceeded my expectations. Lesson learned for me is to not buy additional customer support packages to get access to the top level customer service support (e.g. McAfee). Instead, put Tom on speed dial and you'll save time and $$.

I got Tom Hall's name off Angie's List and decided to try him for four major reasons -- he sounded very competent and professional (based on others' reviews), he does house calls, he only charges $75 an hour, and he doesn't charge a travel fee. So, I called him up and we made a morning appointment for a couple of days later (Tom runs a one-man operation and he is very busy). I had to reschedule at the last minute due to an internet service outage, but he agreed to come that night (a Saturday). About the time Tom was due at my house he called and notified me that he was running late (because his previous appointment had taken longer than expected) but that he was on the way, and he got here about an hour late. Once here, Tom proved to be a fun and funny guy with a dry sense of humor like my own, an encyclopedic knowledge of computers, and the ability to quickly shift gears and multitask. Several times, to conserve time (and money), I asked him questions or asked him to start on another of my computer issues while the computer he had been working on was rebooting or downloading something, and he always obliged. When he was done with everything, he only charged me for 1.5 hours (even though he had been here for more like 2 hours) and he gave my wife and me business cards and told us that, as his customers, we could call him any time we had problems or issues and he would try to talk us through them for free (an offer I took him up on earlier this evening). I can't imagine a better experience. From now on, Tom Hall is my go-to computer guy!

I called and made an appointment. Tom called a few minutes before the appointment time to let me know he was buying the part I needed. So, even though he arrived at my house after the appointment time, he was working for me, and he did let me know. I believed he worked on it longer than the time he charged me for. I was quite pleased with his service, and he let me know that he is always available to his customers to advise them over the phone at no charge.

Tom was able to locate the file on the hard drive that was corrupt. He deleted those files and the ports are now functioning.

We called Computer House Calls and Tom was able to "fit" us in after 5pm that same day. We needed our network up ASAP because my husband works out of our home. Tom came over about 5:30ish and worked for about 1 hour. He fixed a problem we had for months; our computer was "hijacked"! He also suggested anti-virus software and uploaded a spyware removal program. He printed out exactly what we needed to do on a regular basis to keep our network safe and clean. Tom was very polite and had a good sense of humor!

Tom had a cancellation and came the same day I called, even though I'd told him it wasn't an emergency. He diagnosed my desktop computer's problem(dying hard drive)and offered a couple of possible solutions. He had a suitable replacement hard drive in his car, so I chose to have him replace it. I also had a bad router, and he offered a choice of replacements for that, also. He got the new router up and running and the wireless network secured. Buying the router and hard drive through Tom was no more expensive than from a retail outlet. This is the third or fourth time I've used Tom's services. He's always been most helpful and responsive and corrected the problem while providing needed education. I'll continue to call him first for any computer repair/tech needs.

I had left my computer at a major nationally-known electronic product store. They promised they would clear the laptop of a virus that had been found, and that they would have it done in 48 hours. We had to pre-pay them $160. When we checked back with them, they told us it would not be checked for 4 days so we picked up the computer, checked Angie's List, found and called Tom. He was most helpful, pleasant, and responsive and he walked me through the repair. The problem was resolved in less than 30 minutes. I have not had a problem since. I am extremely and positively impressed with him.

It went very well. He actually left me a cell phone number and said that cellphone calls are no charge and that I could call and get his help via the cellphone. I thought he was very knowledgeable.

Originally, went very well. I submitted a previous report with GLOWING remarks. Before Tom left, he said that because I had used his company, this would allow me the opportunity to call him at anytime for questions or concerns. It's been a month or two since he performed the service and I've called him 3 times without a return call. I even called his voice mail, spoke with him and he said he would call me "right back". That was over a week ago... very disappointed!

When AOL upgraded, I lost my "auto complete" feature. I called AOL (I'm not a member so they wouldn't help me without signing me up for a monthly charge; AOL is part of my Time Warner package). I called Time Warner Tech Support and they couldn't help me. I called Vista tech support and they couldn't help me. The computer tech that I paid $110 did clean up my computer but spent a long time trying to figure out how to restore my "auto complete!" Tom Hall did it on the telephone at no charge.

My hard drive crashed. Tom came out on 2 different occasions to check my Home PC. First time, he was looking to see what the problem was, second time to confirm (with different equipment) that my hard drive had in fact crashed. It did! I was fully expecting to pay him for his time -- he would not accept payment as he stated "I haven't done anything to fix you computer...all I've done is "diagnose" the situation". Very unexpected in this day and age! He offered recommendations on people/places that could help retrieve my lost data on my hard drive. Being that I had only lost 6 months of data/files, I decided to let Tom install another hard drive and reload my software and data. Terrific experience...Thanks Tom! I would HIGHLY recommend you to ANYONE!

He was amazing! I told him it was not an emergency, that it was for my husband so he could watch our TV in Iraq. He had several other appointments that night but he fit me in. He said that as far as he was concerned, anything for the soldiers was an emergency. God Bless Him! It took him a while to figure it out as it was rather complicated. My husband is tickled.

Tom was very professional and helpful. He quickly solved the problem with my corrupt file. He explained what had caused the problem and talked me through how he solved it. I had also lost my DSL connection on my very antique computer and Tom offered suggestions on how to connect through my wireless router (I also have a laptop) more effectively. He didn't belittle me for having an old operating system or a broken ethernet cable (as some other techs do), but just solved my problem and got everything running again. I will definately call him again if I have other problems.

Tom came over and diagnosed the problem as a bad Hard Drive. Tom gave me the option of buying a new CPU unit or replacing the hard drive. Since my computer is a Dell with Windows XP, I was not sure that the new operating system would work with the QuickBooks Program that I use for my husband's business. So, I had Tom replace the hard drive. We arranged for a time for him to come back and he loaded the hard drive and was able to transfer my files over to the new drive. It works like a charm.

Tom arrived as scheduled and went to work making the changes I requested. He spent close to six hours on the work but only charged me for four hours because of a network problem he had trouble with which he said was not my problem. He also answers phone calls from other customers while working as part of his service. As he explained I would get the free telephone support also as one of his customers. Tom was professional and knowledgable and executed the work quickly and accurately. He also answered my questions about how he was setting up my computer and wrote down all the appropriate passwords and necessary information before he left.

Fantastic! A great value. Tom arrived right on schedule and fixed all of my computer problems. He also gave my son (and me) an education on what to look for with cyber safety. Tom provided a self-help sheet for me to use to cleanup some of the more common computer issues (e.g. run spy-ware, defrag, etc.) He was also available by phone for a follow up question I had.

Very well. Tom was extremely honest and informative, including explaining technical info in layman's terms. He also provides telephone support, which has already been very helpful. Mr. hall phoned me and I told him of the problem. He said that was easy and to go to the computer. He walked me through the procedure and the problem was corrected. I was very pleased and would definitely use his services again. The cost was nothing, but the report would not accept zeroes.

Tom was the 2nd computer technician we had who worked on our computer. The 1st (6 months ago) SEEMED to have fixed things, but the problems remained or returned. Neither of us is computer-literate enough to explain our problems. Tom not only corrected errors, erased unnecessary stuff, but installed what we needed to be on-line successfully, AND EXPLAINED most of what he did and what we are to do to keep things running smoothly!
