Amy Chandler with Carolina Buyer’s Agent is amazing! She made the home-searching and home-buying process so pleasant! Amy is extremely knowledgeable regarding all aspects of residential real estate and the Charlotte market (and surrounding areas). She is also very personable, and her response time to phone calls and emails was phenomenal! (generally she’d respond within 5-10 minutes). She was very patient and always answered all of our many questions. Right before closing, there was an extreme situation that came up on the seller’s end, which required us to completely switch gears. Amy immediately sprung into action making phone calls and working closely with all involved parties to resolve the situation. This shows her dedication, strong communication skills, and strong sense of urgency. A couple of weeks after we closed on the house, Amy emailed us to see how we were doing and to let us know that even though we already closed, she is always there for us if we need anything. Not only did we find a superb realtor, but we also found a life-long connection.

Julie was diligent in providing me with options as soon as they came on the market and was always available to arrange a showing. She was honest with me and gave her opinions of the options we looke d at to ensure I was making the right choice. In many cases, she talked me out of looking at different properties providing very valid reasons why which saved me time and frustration which I really appreciate. She was very informative throughout the process and was quick to address any problem that arose. The closing was effortless as she arranged everything. In summary, I'm a happy customer and no complaints. I would definitely refer anyone looking for a new home to Julie and advise they are in good hands.

Awesome - Carole thought through each conversation with us instead of just listening and reading our list of the type of home we were looking for. As a result, she found a home that was far beyond our expectations. In addition, she was also careful to stay within our budget. The most wonderful thing was her support through the purchasing process. Carole provided recommendations, set up appointments, and represented us through many details such as the home inspector, septic inspection/cleaning, talking to potential neighbors, looking up contact information for multiple services, finding a qualified and affordable surveyor, termite inspection/treatment, structural engineer, and more.
Description of Work: An exclusive buyer agent represents only the buyer in a real estate transaction. Services included: recommending homes to view, visiting homes, providing comparable homes to determine value of each home, and arranging multiple services related to the inspection and home purchase.

By all means, DON'T sign the exclusive contract these sharks request. DO find another agency to work with.
Description of Work: After several emails and phone conversations, we flew to Charlotte thinking these agents would spend two days showing homes in locations and price ranges we discussed. Upon arrival, the Caroline HomeBuyers agent handed us a map and suggested we check out the homes and areas on our own. It became clear the agent had other customers who were looking at more expensive homes, and did not have time to show us houses in our $275,000 to $325,000 range. We fired these agents and found an excellent replacement, who helped us find and purchase two homes in Charlotte, our residence and an excellent investment property.

THIS BUYER IS ADMITTING BELOW THAT HE USED THE INFORMATION MY COMPANY PROVIDED TO HIM DURING HIS HOUSE-HUNTING TRIPS TO CHARLOTTE OVER FIVE YEARS AGO TO PURCHASE A HOME THROUGH ANOTHER AGENT! WE MEET WITH A LOT OF OUT-OF-TOWN BUYER PROSPECTS EVERY YEAR, DISCUSS THEIR REQUIREMENTS IN DETAIL AND CORRESPOND WITH THEM MANY TIMES BY PHONE AND BY EMAIL BEFORE AND AFTER EACH OF THEIR TRIPS TO CHARLOTTE. LIKE THIS BUYER, MOST BUYERS WHO ARE COMING IN FROM OUT-OF-TOWN HAVE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF TIME TO QUICKLY FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH THE VAST NUMBER OF NEIGHBORHOODS AND HOMES AVAILABLE IN THE CHARLOTTE AREA. THIS BUYER ONLY HAD TWO DAYS ON HIS FIRST TRIP, SO MY AGENT TIM AND I TOLD THIS BUYER WE WOULD CHERRY-PICK A SELECTION OF THE BEST HOMES ON THE MARKET IN HIS PRICE RANGE WITH THE FEATURES THAT WERE MOST IMPORTANT TO HIM, AND MAP OUT A TOUR OF THE NEIGHBORHOODS WHERE THOSE HOMES WERE LOCATED. AT THE SAME TIME THAT WE REVIEWED THE HOMES WE HAD SELECTED FOR THIS BUYER TO SEE, WE ALSO DISCUSSED WITH HIM ALL THE BUYER AGENCY SERVICES HE WOULD RECEIVE. WE REVIEWED THE TERMS OF THE BUYER AGENCY AGREEMENT THAT HE SIGNED WITH US AND GAVE HIM A COPY TO TAKE WITH HIM. WE ALSO INCLUDED A FEATURE SHEET AND DOOR-TO-DOOR DRIVING DIRECTIONS FOR EACH HOME ON HIS TOUR. ON THE FIRST DAY HE WAS HERE, HE WAS ABLE TO QUICKLY NARROW DOWN THE NEIGHBORHOODS TO THE ONES HE LIKED THE BEST. AND ON THE SECOND DAY HE WAS HERE, WE MADE APPOINTMENTS TO SHOW HIM THE HOMES HE HAD SELECTED AFTER HE NARROWED DOWN THE NEIGHBORHOODS. NEXT WE PROVIDED HIM WITH A COMPARATIVE MARKET ANALYSIS ON THE HOMES HE WAS INTERESTED IN MAKING AN OFFER ON SO HE COULD SEE HOW THE ASKING PRICE COMPARED WITH THE OTHER HOMES IN THE SAME NEIGHBORHOOD THAT HAD SOLD RECENTLY. ONE OF THE HOMES HE WAS INTERESTED IN WAS NEW CONSTRUCTION, AND WE KNEW HE WOULD BE COMPETING WITH ANOTHER OFFER THAT THE BUILDER HAD JUST RECEIVED. THIS BUYER OFFERED FULL PRICE, BUT THE BUILDER CALLED ME BACK TO SAY THAT HE HAD DECIDED TO ACCEPT THE OTHER OFFER WHICH WAS ALSO FULL PRICE, BECAUSE AFTER WE PRESENTED THIS BUYERS OFFER, HE WENT OUT TO THE HOME SITE AGAIN AND ASKED THE BUILDER TO MAKE ADDITIONAL MODIFICATIONS TO THE HOME FOR HIM AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. AFTER THIS BUYER RETURNED HOME, HE ASKED MY AGENT TIM TO DRIVE OUT TO VARIOUS HOME SITES HE WOULD FIND ONLINE AND TAKE DIGITAL PHOTOS OF THE HOME SITES AND EMAIL THEM BACK TO HIM ALONG WITH TIM'S OPINION OF THE AREAS SO HE COULD PLAN WHICH HOME SITES HE WANTED TO VISIT ON HIS NEXT TRIP TO CHARLOTTE. THIS BUYER EVENTUALLY DID MAKE A SECOND TRIP TO CHARLOTTE AND HAD INITIALLY PLANNED TO MEET AGAIN WITH TIM. BUT TIM'S SCHEDULED FLIGHT BACK TO CHARLOTTE HAD BEEN DELAYED WHEN THIS BUYER ARRIVED, SO I AGREED TO MEET WITH THIS BUYER ABOUT ANOTHER HOME HE WANTED TO SEE. AFTER WE HAD SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET AT THE HOME, HE CANCELED HIS APPOINTMENT WITH ME AT THE LAST MINUTE. WHEN I CALLED TO RESCHEDULE, HE STATED THAT HE HAD DECIDED TO CANCEL HIS BUYER AGENCY AGREEMENT. I REMINDED HIM THAT HE COULD CANCEL HIS BUYER AGENCY AGREEMENT WITH 24 HOURS NOTICE TO US IN WRITING, BUT HE WOULD NEED TO COME BACK TO CAROLINA BUYER'S AGENT IF HE DECIDED TO PURCHASE A HOME HE HAD FOUND DURING THE PERIOD THAT WE HAD BEEN PROVIDING BUYER AGENCY SERVICES TO HIM. I AM PARTICULARLY CONCERNED THAT THIS BUYER HAS DESCRIBED OUR BUSINESS PRACTICES AS FRAUDULENT AND DECEPTIVE. THE TRUTH IS THAT WE PUT A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT INTO MATCHING UP HIS CRITERIA WITH THE HOMES THAT WERE ON THE MARKET DURING THE TIME HE WAS USING OUR BUYER AGENCY SERVICES. THEN WE SELECTED AND MAPPED OUT THE BEST ONES AS A NEIGHBORHOOD TOUR OF THE AREAS HE WAS INTERESTED IN. AND AFTER THIS BUYER RETURNED HOME, TIM DROVE OUT TO THE VARIOUS PROPERTIES THIS BUYER FOUND ONLINE TO TAKE DIGITAL PHOTOS OF EACH OF THE HOME SITES HE WAS INTERESTED IN AND ADVISE HIM ABOUT THE SURROUNDING AREAS. THIS BUYER WAS WELL-INFORMED REGARDING WHAT HE COULD EXPECT IN TERMS OF NEIGHBORHOOD, PRICE AND HOME FEATURES IN THE CHARLOTTE MARKET. AND IN FAIRNESS TO US, WE DESERVE TO BE COMPENSATED WHEN BUYERS ARE ABLE TO FIND THE HOME THEY WANT TO PURCHASE AS A RESULT OF OUR EFFORTS TO HELP THEM UNDERSTAND THE HOUSING MARKET IN CHARLOTTE, YET WE RECEIVED NOT ONE PENNY FOR ALL THE TIME, EFFORT AND EXPENSE WE INCURRED ON BEHALF OF THIS BUYER.

Agent Lisa Schoenberger is a tremendous help when it comes to buying a home. She scheduled and rescheduled countless showings for us until we found the house we wanted. She never seems to run out of patience and is always punctual.

When I and my wife decided to relocate to Charlotte, our biggest concern was finding a wheelchair accessible home. We decided to build a new home in the university area rather than retrofitting an existing home. Julie helped us find a nice neighborhood. Since there was only one lot available in that community, the builder was unwilling to hold the lot. Julie went right up to the divisional manager and persuaded him to hold the lot for me. She helped us make necessary changes in the plan to accommodate our needs. It took lot of phone calls, persistence and patience on her part to convince the builder to make necessary changes to the plan. While signing the contract Julie caught several errors made, albeit unintentionally, by the builder, which would have cost us thousands of dollars. She made sure we get every discount promised by the builder. We are extremely pleased with the services we received from Julie and Alisa and would highly recommend them to anyone interested in buying a home
Description of Work: Julie Tuggle (owner) and Alisa Park (agent) helped us relocate to Charlotte from Texas. They helped us find the new construction in the university area, negotiated with the builder on our behalf, helped with finding the mortgage, arranged inspection services, find the storage place, and accompanied us to the closing. Their fee was paid by the sellers. They even gave us a gift certificate for one and a half hours of handy man services.

I was bowled over by the service I got from Julie (owner) and Carol Richards our agent. Carol really went way beyond the call of duty to help us find a house from far away. She figured out what was important to us, and found it! She also ended up helping the seller through a lot of the process, since he was trying to sell with one of those "low cost, no service" listing arrangements. Helping the seller helped us, so we were happy with that. We felt that Julie and Carol were good at negotiating the deal, and were maybe a little tougher that we might have been on our own, which resulted in a slightly better deal, although the seller was realistic on the price, so it was an amicable process. We will employ this agency again, and will recommend it to our friends. It was great knowing that they were really working for us, instead of for the franchise, or a builders friend, or the seller, or for hidden agendas! We were always made to feel that we were a priority. Terrific service!
Description of Work: Julie Tuggle and Carol Richards helped us relocate to the Charlotte area. They helped us identify neighborhoods, showed houses, did comps, searched for mortgages, arranged for pest inspections, house inspections, contractors, negotiated the price, and helped us acclimate. We hired them as exclusive buyers agents, which is REAL, since they DO NOT take listings. There is no conflict of interest either overt or covert as is usual with most brokers that "say" they can represent you fairly with dual agency relationships. They are not trying to sell you a house they get a kick-back on from a builder; they are trying to find what you want and need for a price you can pay. They drove around on their own time scouting houses, called neighbors to get info, looked up health clubs, etc. We really got our money's worth. Their fee of 3% was paid by the seller as negotiated as part of the offer process.
