BROWN & GLENN MAINTENANCE CO

I selected Brown and Glenn to manage my property and initially was satisfied with the arrangement. Throughout the 1 year they managed the property there were multiple communication issues. I usually learned about things only from the statement I received monthly, never from a phone call to let me know when the lease was changing hands or when maintenance was being done and billed to me. This frustrated me but I thought it would improve. It did not. The final move which caused me to leave them and write this review was when we were getting it back on the market they had vendors go in to paint and do repairs. This vendor, which I was never given the name of, not only did a sloppy and unsatisfactory job but they have also caused over $5,000 in damage. I went to check on the property and took pictures of things that I, as the customer, was unhappy with and provided the feedback to Brown and Glenn as well as asked for a representative to meet me to do a walk through so we could discuss. Items of issue I submitted along with pictures: · Paint on fixtures · Painting that was not finished · Completing touchups with white paint when rest of areas were beige · Wall paint on trim · Not returning things how they found them (unhooking washer and dryer and leaving it and removing shelves but not putting them back up) · Cleaning incomplete as there were still areas that were obviously dirty · Mention of water issue with floor in kitchen that was not previously an issue After multiple follow ups on my end I received this response: ?Some of the items we have no issue with?. I found this to be rude and dismissive especially since the person working with the vendor to get the work done had never stepped foot in the property to even know what work really needed to be done and had not completed a quality check follow up on the work. They then proceeded to tell me that things that I was upset with must have been that way prior to them coming in to do the work and that ?Some owners are very detailed and particular on what they want and others are not?. I assume this means they are used to people not caring about their properties and I was just being too particular. Turns out the vendor they contracted to do the work not only did a sloppy job but they also cut the water line to the refrigerator and did not tell anyone. This action has caused massive damage to the kitchen and under the house. I have had to secure a restoration company to dry out the house and flooring. The end result of this vendors sloppy work and Brown and Glenn standing behind them is that the kitchen, sub flooring and living room flooring has to be taken up and replaced. At this point the cost to me is over $5,000 and expected to go higher, not to mention the lost rent for 2 months and counting. I do not recommend Brown and Glenn because they do no communicate with their clients, do sloppy work and stand behind their vendors over their owners.
