Ballantyne Center for Dentistry

A week before I made an appointment, I call Ballantyne Center For Dentistry and talked to an associate for 10 minutes to make sure they offered what I was looking for. And I got a yes to every question I asked. The initial visit and waiting period was good. The consultation was about a the work that they performed versus what I was looking for. I got a referring to a periodontist and an appointment to speak with a staff associate to a discuss what I need done and they cost because I wanted to move forward. They gave me an appointment card with the day and time. This call was suppose to be at 11:30 am on Thursday. At 11:40 I decided to call them just in case I was wrong about who was to call who. Well, someone picked up the phone did not see an appointment for me. They put me on hold to inquire. After 5 minutes someone answered and said they did not have me scheduled for any appointment and they were unfamiliar with why I was calling. This may not be how they handle most of their customers, but for me, it was humiliating. At this point, I feel they were profiling me. I approached them professionally and I was very clear that I wanted to get my dental work done. And they knew I was serious because I told them I took off work and traveled an hour to get to them. They made me feel that they were looking for a certain type of customer and I did not fit their profile. Whatever the reason, they were unprofessional, unethical, and obviously uncaring about why I came to them and what I needed from them. To be perfectly honest, what they did to me was "profiling" plain and simple. I say this because their internet ad said there would be free consultation and they suggested the phone consultation for me to get more details what I needed after my visit. At this point, if there is a way to sue them for wasting my time I will.

They did some investigation. He told me he didn't need to have the crown replaced. There was nothing wrong with it in other words. He was very pleased with them. He did schedule for an appointment for cleaning which he had to care for. He is planning to go back. He was very happy with them. How reasonable they are on price, I don't really know. They didn't really do the crown or anything so I don't have a price to compare to anybody else's. He thought they were very professional. The staff was great. Not only the dentist but the people who work there, they are very friendly, very professional. He was real pleased. Very good interaction. Work turned out fine.Very good in availability. He didn't have to wait long for an appointment.

They've always been great. I would rate them as the best in the Charlotte area. They are just fantastic.

He is a dentist, very professional & personable. He doesn't want you to feel any pain - I think that's one of their selling points. They're big in cosmetic dentistry, though we haven't used them for that yet.

He was great - got me an appointment ASAP because I was going out of town

It went terrible. They took $12000 of my money and left me unhappy.

They just put on veneers. My teeth look phenomenal and they look very natural. The office staff is very caring. They remember our conversations we've had in the past so it is like visiting a friend. They go above and beyond, especially with billing. They have a spa like atmosphere.

They are very, very professional and very personable. They make us feel like they are there for us. It is a very different dental practice and they did that on purpose. I read a lot about them and that was their plan. They are very well known for taking care of their clients. They also try to take care of people that are scared of dentists.

Great personal service and very professional dentist.

My only complaint is there billing practice. I had to pay 50% of what they thought the bill would be when I booked the appointment. That was a major turn off. I booked the appointment anyway since I had a problem. I have dental insurance but they still make you pay all of the bill up front and then submit the insurance.

My wife has been going to Ballantyne Center for Dentistry for more than 10 years, of which she has be mostly satisfied. On the morning of Christmas Day 2013, she was flossing her teeth and one of her crowns partially breaks & pops off. This exposed a very sensitive area and quickly became painful. She called their office to see if she could get someone. What she got was an afterhours message telling her that the office would be closed until January 2nd, 2014. She left a message that morning and received a call back later that afternoon. The person that called was only responding to her request and stated that all the dentists were out of town and that the office was closed until January 2nd, 2014. My wife asked if there was someone else that they could refer her to and she stated she would have someone call her back. As of today, Friday 12/27/2013, my wife still has not heard back from the dentist and no appointment and/or referral has been made. If a client needs emergency service 12/24/2013 through 1/02/2014, you are out of luck. This is understandable for the most part, but nevertheless a professional business providing care should have a contingency plan to address situations that may occur during a time in which the office is closed and holiday situations. All the dentists were out of town and no one made arrangements to make sure someone was on call. Very poor planning on their part. I had a very similar problem on Christmas Eve 2010 where I had a temporary come off. I called my dentist office (not Ballantyne Center for Dentistry, received a call back, and within two hours the dentist on call and his assistant met me at their office and fixed it. My wife is going to go to my dentist to have the crown glued back in place today and hopefully she will hear back from Ballantyne Center for Dentistry. I will follow up on this review with the out come.

They are my service for dentistry. I like that they are all very good dentists. Their office is really well ran. They are friendly, organized and very easy to deal with. Scheduling is easy for me. It is a very well ran place and I have been going there for 5 years.

I waited an hour in the office for my appointment to be honored. After very friendly chit chat, the doctor said that a first appointment to evaluate needed care would cost $406, payable upfront, before the appointment would be scheduled. (Another dentist I interviewed gave me that evaluation on a New Patient Special for $49, paid for by my dental insurance.)

Work was performed ,but I need to make a future appointment to complete the process.

It is a good location. It is easy to get to. I like both doctors. They are a little expensive but I like them.

Ballantyne Center For Dentistry has excellent doctors and good hygienists. The staff are very responsive and professional. Excellent wait time if you have appointments.

I am glad I did what I did and the four crowns are a great relief after years of pain.

They helped me with the problems. They are a great dentist. They are a little pricey but they are worth every penny. Their quality of work is great. They are very, very professional.

They worked me into the schedule so I didn't have to wait. Dr. Joe is the nicest dentist; he's always very gentle and kind. He keeps up on all of the latest things. For instance, the crowns that he does don't need to have impressions made, he just sprays a powder in your mouth, which I prefer, and it doesn't take as long.

My experience with the staff was fine but I was disappointed my teeth did not appear much whiter after the procedure. Their results did show that my teeth were a couple of shades whiter but I imagine my expectations may have been a bit unreasonable. Regardless, they offered a follow-up visit at no cost to me. Carla Stack is the Practice Manager and she went above and beyond what I would have expected from a dental office. Not only did they do the whitening procedure again at no charge, they also sent me home with a whitening stick at no cost. I couldn't ask for better treatment than I received from everyone at this office. I highly recommend Ballantyne Center for Dentistry because they are genuine in their desire to give the best service possible.

My experience with them was really well.

The people are super friendly and they know what they are doing and they take great care of you. They explain everything that they are going to do and they even have follow up calls and they explain what you need to do on the sedation dentistry. I have had extractions and cleaning and partials and the whitening treatment. If I am not satisfied with the first minor whitening then they will put that money toward a more expensive whitening product. When you go under the sedation you are asleep and I have come from over 50 miles away to go to this practice. My sons have been driving me there for my appointments. It really is pain free and even after the procedures I still have not had any pain. You do have to pay for your services before they will give you your appointment that is one thing you do have to do. The dentistry is expensive but they also have plans to help make the payments. I will continue to use their services in the future for my dental health.

I just moved to them. I changed employment and I had to change dentists so I went to them.

It's a very clean facility, the atmosphere and receptionist is friendly, they're very punctual, the doctors and hygenist are very professional, and they will answer any questions.
