Job went wonderfully. He was quick, professional and made sure the system worked before leaving for the day.

He never called back. So I finally called him from my wife's phone and he answered so he must have been screening his calls. He said he did not want to do work for us because I was wasting his time. When I asked what that meant he said it was because I mentioned getting a quote from his competitors. I lost two weeks worth of time trying to chase him down.

I'm remodeling my bathroom and needed a grab bar installed and a GFCI electrical outlet. I saw Mike's reports and called him. He gave me an estimate over the phone, arrived about two weeks later and did the job very satisfactorily. I was concerned about the grab bar being installed into the existing tile but he did an excellent job with no broken tiles.

Come to Weds afternoon 2/21 - No show, no followup call. I called him weds 2/22 AM and left VM telling him that I didn't hear from him and requested a call back. I received a call later that day from him in which he said that he was very busy and apologized for forgetting about the appointment. He then setup the 2nd appt for 8:30AM thursday. he didn't show for the 2nd appt thursday but after I had commented on Angie's list called Friday and said that he there was some mistake in that he saw someone in my neighborhood that he mistakenly thought was me with the same first name who said he had made other plans and had said to not bother showing up for the estimate call. Mike then offered to complete my shower grout job for free but I had since already arranged for someone to complete the job.

Mike and his team arrived exactly on time and went right to work immediately. They were very nice and courteous as well as extremely professional. They worked very hard and didn't let up until the jobs were done. They also did a great job of cleaning up as they went and left the work areas spotless. I was very impressed by Mike's vast knowledge and it was apparent to me that he knew how to do the jobs right the first time and wouldn't cut corners. We'll be moving to MA in a few weeks and I only wish I could take Mike and his team with me to the new house!!

I can breathe a sigh of relief now. I found a contractor/handyman who does wonderful work. My shed roof had a leak. He fixed it. My outside dryer vent was all but dust, and he replaced it with the one I had purchased and had no clue how to put in. And my carport edge piece had come loose so he put screwed it down. I had to check to see that the new vent was in place. The next day I got my ladder out to see my new roof was complete, too. There wasn't any sort of trash left behind at all. I am most impressed with Mike's work. I will call him again when a project arises that I can't tackle myself. Thank you!

I saw the company's van with an Angie's List seal on it. I called the # and spoke to a gentleman who said he owned the company. I was excited to find a company that had "Heidi" in the company name. (I have a terrible memory, and I knew I would be able to remember this company since my name is Heidi also. Crazy, I know, but true.) I spoke to the owner at length and explained how I was desperate to get an estimate as I had company coming in town. We spoke about Angie's List too. We made an appointment for the next day. He never showed and never called. My family owns a service company. We strive for perfection when meeting customer's expectations. Because of this, when a company neither shows nor calls, it really offends me. He put me in a really bad position. Out of desperation, I had to call a company that was NOT on Angie's List. There work was awful.

He did a pretty good job. I got quotes from a lot of other guys and his was on average, but I liked his work. I had gone through all of his reviews on Angie's List and he has good reviews, so I hired him. I am glad that I hired him. He was spot on. Though I was in the house doing my own stuff, he made sure that he didn't disturb me. He cleaned up after he was done. Whenever there was any delay, he always communicated before hand and made sure that I know about it. He has been really good to us.

I had a DIFFERENT handyman install a new (pre-hung) front door, and unfortunately he botched the job badly - it was not straight, and it stuck so badly on the bottom that I had to push my body against it to get it to open. Also had to pull the door in to get the deadbolt to lock (and it made a horrible grinding sound). I didn't call him back to make the repair because he was aware of the sticking problem and said it was the best he could do. I had another vendor quote to repair it, and he said that the door needed to be completely removed and re-done - his quote was way off the charts. I called Mike, he gave me a free estimate and we scheduled the work. Mike came in and knew exactly what had to be done. He was here about 3 hours, and also provided the necessary materials to re-do the trim, etc. The door now opens and closes wonderfully, and the deadbolt engages with an easy "click" just like it should! Great job overall...

Mike came by the day after I called him and provided an estimate. Within the same day he arranged to have the screens repaired by two professional screen repair persons. They did a wonderful job--even going above and beyond to assess the structural condition of our pool cage. The advice was very helpful. We are very pleased and will definitely call Mike for all our home repair/maintenance needs in the future.

Mike was very detailed, measured everything out carefully and even removed the trash with him when he left!

Handymen were professional and on time. Very clean and neat about their work. We are very satisfied and will call them again if we need anything else done.

They instructed us about uneven ground and how to correct it. They were pleasant, friendly and worked well together. I noticed a problem we have on an unrelated repair we need to make and he offered suggestions as to how to fix it.

They did a great job. We have had them out twice this month and we have been very satisfied. We would highly recommend this company.

Mike diagnosed the severity of the problem and he and his team corrected it within a couple of days. The support beams had to be replaced, the original source of the water damage had to be corrected, drywall had to be replaced and our pool enclosure screening had to be removed and reattached to gain access to additional damaged wood. He was very knowledgeable and skilled as to all aspects of the repair. His price was very reasonable and at all times he was very courteous and professional. He and his crew cleanedup after themselves each day. We will definitely use Mike James again in the future.

Mike was extremely prompt to call us first to make appointment after the Angie's List coupon was purchased. He set up an appointment, checked in with his arrival time by phone, and was extremely polite and professional.

Great job. Showed up on time. Took shoes off at door before entering home. Good price. Very happy with his work. I will definitely call him again for more jobs. Very courteous.

I had a leak in the shower pan of the upstairs shower in the master bedroom. This leak caused damage to the half wall and the sub floor in about a 25 square foot area. Mike removed all of the damaged wood and replaced it, designed a new shower using a concrete shower pan and ceramic tile, and replaced the ceramic floor tile in that area of the bathroom. Mike worked evenings and weekends (including Sundays) to speed up the completion of the job. The actual completion was about a month, but that was due to delays in the type of tile I ordered and the glass company custom making the glass. He also noticed an issue with the vinyl ceiling in the entry way of my house and fixed that while he was here. I'm planning on using Mike again to replace my garden tub with a jacuzzi tub.

MY FENCE IS BEAUTIFUL!!! He is very professional, punctual, does excellent work, and makes sure everything is cleaned up after completion. He has done other work for me in the past of handyman nature - installing light fixtures, changing out electrical outlets, fixing my front door, replacing some wood trim. I am very pleased with his work and will definitely use his services in the future.

He is excellent and I've utilized him a couple of times. He answers and responds to my requests in a very timely manner. He goes out of his way to show the before and after photos. His rates are very reasonable. He did a great job. The old screen had deteriorated and the debris had fallen into the pool because the pool is surrounded by trees. There was an awful lot of debris and the weight of it had collapsed the screen and torn it. He replaced those. He did a property inspection for me in the past. I will absolutely use him again.

We will be contacting Mike to do some more odd jobs for us.

Mike is worth his weight in gold. He does not hesitate to tackle a difficult situation w/ tact and is very efficient. His experience w/ construction, plumbing, roofing, structure & stone enabled him to do an evaluation w/out being obvious or raising concern. I would call Mike again w/out doubt.

He did an outstanding job even facing difficulties with the vent. Mike spent quite a bit more time than he originally planned and had to go out of his way to get additional parts. Although the total was more than we had planned, the extra amount of effort was greater than the cost. Mike was pleasant and friendly with me and did not attempt to do anything dishonest. Even more importantly my financially hard to please husband was satisfied with the work and considered the finished product to be well worth the cost. We will definately hire Mike again as new work arises
