TRAPPER DAN'S WILDLIFE AND PEST CONTROL

Initial 2 services were fine. Follow up for bats a year or so later was horrible. Took a week or longer to return call - and then came out when he knew I wasn't at the house. Tried calling and emailing multiple times to set up next appointment but never returned my call. Answering machine always full. Gave up last fall and paid someone else to do the work. Would not use again.

We had a very positive experience with Trapper Dans on our original work for bat exclusion in February of 2011. I would rate that experience an "A". They handled the problem, closed the openings and offered a 5 year warranty. The warranty was the biggest selling feature for us when deciding to use this company.
Honoring the warranty 2 years later was a much less pleasant experience and thus the lower overall score.  I wish the "hire again" question had a "maybe" answer. I didn't want to say no because they did a great job initially and they did come back and honor the warranty but  they need to work out some better communication and follow up with their warranty work before I could recommend them.  
Some of the screening came loose some time in 2012 and we could hear the sound of bats in the wall again in Nov/Dec 2012. Then we had a bat get back into our bedroom and called two or three times in Dec /Jan to take care of the problem to no avail -  no one returned our calls. We emailed with a copy of the warranty on 1/8 and got a response back quickly. They stated that they would be out of the office on Wednesday 1/9 but would call us back on Thursday 1/10 to follow up. No call was returned. We emailed again and sent text messages back and forth over the next few weeks with different dates scheduled to come out. Scheduled dates would come and go with the problem not being corrected. Reasons for the delays - Didn't bring the supplies needed with them, downscaled staff, weather, etc.
Finally, about mid February, the owner came out, met with my husband and resealed the openings so it all turned out okay in the end and our warranty was honored.

The very worst experience I have ever had in my life in dealing with hiring someone to perform a service at my home. 
The only thing the Company did was spend 10 minutes at my home "inspecting" the squirrel situation and cash a check I wrote to him for $265.00.  I never heard from him again or saw him again.  I called; he didn't answer and I got a recording that the voicemail box was full so I couldn't even leave a message. 
I filed a Complaint with the Better Business Bureau but he did not refund my money or perform any squirrel removal. 
What he did was absolutely no different than a person stealing my purse in a parking lot that had $265.00 in it.

As said in the previous paragraph - the inital work 2 years ago went well.  Attempting to get work done recently proved to be impossible - as this company never returned my calls or emails.

I have been a customer of Trapper Dan's for years and very satisfied but
recently have had a number of incidents which is requiring me to take
my business elsewhere.  There were a few appointments that were no
shows.  I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried to call them to
find out what happened but nobody has returned my calls.  I even tried
emailing but no luck.  It actually has me wondering if everything is OK
with them but with no reply I must move on.
