Metro lawn sprinkler installed our system years ago and we continue to sign a yearly contract with them for activation, backflow testing and winterization. Service providers are always professional, friendly, on-time, and answer all of our questions. A+!

The technicians have always been on time, professional, efficient and knowledgeable. This is one company you can depend on to perform as advertised and in accordance with their contracts. I had my lawn sprinkler system shutdown for the winter on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. My service window was Noon to 5:00 p.m., but the technician showed up shortly after his lunch break, which was great for me. After shutting off the water supply, the technician blew the water out of each of my nine sprinkler zones, with which I assisted him because I have a temperamental analog control panel that is over 30 years old. After shutting everything down, I shut down the control panel for the winter, and I electronically signed the invoice. NOTE: I pre-pay the yearly service agreement each Spring for the system start-up & shutdown service, and Metro does have coupons ($10 off for backflow test or service agreement) for those who post verifiable reviews on Angie's List, Google, or BBB, which is nice.

PERFECT AS USUAL, CAME AND DID WHAT WAS NEEDED WILL RENEW FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR. HAVE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THEM.

Everyone has been great to work with..from the administrative folks in the office, through bid process, and finally installation and maintenance they have been great.

I had a similar experience to other reviewers - they seem too busy to pursue new business. I communicated with them on 4 occasions. First was to turn on sprinklers and cap a pipe that was damaged during some housework. That went fine. During that visit, I asked to schedule a new install of sprinklers for the damaged area. Their tech put in the request but I never heard back to schedule it. Time went by, I called to see what the status was, and they said the request was submitted, but for reasons they couldn't explain, it was never followed up on. At that point it seemed the cap they installed was leaking, so I had them come out again to fix it. Again, that went fine. This time the tech said the full install would be scheduled for the following Wednesday and I should expect a confirmation call. Call never came, no crew ever showed up. At this point it's not worth the hassle of not knowing when they will decide to call or show up.

We have Metro do these tasks for several years now and they do a great job and are very responsive to our request. We are signing up again this year for their services.

Haven't opened my Sprinkler system yet, but the shutdown in the Fall was good. We had them install our system about years ago and they have been maintaining it ever since with moving heads, and replacing them. I particularly liked the way they did their installation.

I'm a long-time customer of Metro Lawn Sprinklers. Frank showed up 1/2-hour early for my scheduled appointment time, which was fine - I'd rather have an early arrival than a late arrival. After pressure testing the system to confirm the leaking water valve, I showed Frank the exact value which was leaking (Zone 5). Swapping out the valve isn't normally a time consuming task. However, because of the way the zone line split off from the main water line and into the valve box, Frank also had to replace the zone water line split off the main line with some new PVC pipe to the valve box. After completing the Zone water line repair and replaced the leaking water valve, Frank also checked and replaced a rotor head in Zone 5 which was no longer turning and spraying the intended region. Afterward, I had Frank re-seat several rotor heads that had settled in the ground at odd angles, which cause their spray patterns to not cover their intended regions. Time In/Out was 2.17 hours. However, because Frank spent another 1/2-hour (0.5 hours) adjusting the rotor heads, I was charged for 3 hours of labor at a $95.00 per hour labor rate. Given such a high labor rate, I think it would be appropriate to break the time charges into 1/4-hour (0.25 hour) increments (e.g., if the service call time spent is at least 2.5 hours but less than 2.75 hours, charge for 2.75 hours, not for 3 hours). Otherwise, I was pleased with the quality of the work performed and with other aspects of Frank's work. I would definitely hire them, again. In fact, i found another leaking water valve in my backyard before the Fall system winterization, which the shut-down tech said to tell them about when they come out for the 2020 Spring start-up when they can repair it.
