Better Life Maids

I have been hiring Better Life Maids for over 1 year. The have been consistent problems. 1. Inconsistent arrival time. I never know when they will be arriving, and have had to reschedule several times, because the team was so late. I have 3 dogs, and getting them crated etc,, and being here for several hours and then having to reschedule has been an inconvenience. 2. Different team members. I requested that the same team clean my house. The St Louis manager said, ok Then would send new people anyway. I understand that some team members get promoted, but the general level of professionalism,is so variable with this company. 3. Breakage - a team member ( a new member who had never been here to clean before ) dropped a piece of my grandmother's cut glass. She has to have been very careless because it was a heavy piece. I was reimbursed. 4. Vacuum cleaner broke 1/2 way through the cleaning. Team member offered to come back another day, but it's so difficult to schedule, and I work during the day. I think Better Life Maids needs to look at how fast they are growing, as they are no consistently professional.

Awful. I used this service because I could not get another green clean company to respond. Each visit, something would be missed - the piano bench would be half-wiped, the shoes would be up on the couch!, cleaning products and rags left behind. While they offer a "get it right" service, I didn't have the time or energy to call every time.

Better Life Maids is really easy to work with, they appointment reminders, notices before they arrive, checklists of completed work after they work and follow up surveys to make sure the work is going well. The deep clean service was completely worth it! They did such a good job and were polite and hardworking. They got to the nooks and crannies that hadn't been touched in awhile. During regular services they come while we are at work. When we get home, the house is clean and in order.

Better Life Maids was my first experience with a professional residential cleaning team. I compared multiple local companies via Angie's List and Yelp and am very confident in my choice. Working from home I was becoming extremely overwhelmed from attempting to focus on work while keeping the apartment kept up and my partner works a full time physically demanding job. I was concerned about cost since we are not in a financial position to spend a great deal on what some would call luxuries but decided to take responsibility for my work life and our home life and did not regret it in the least. The prices were the most reasonable I could find in the city (St Louis - S City) and I received a $25 discount for being an Angie's List Member. The follow up rates were lower than the initial visit and were transparent via communication. Heather at the main office was professional and sweet. Phone and email communication has been excellent. The staff of 3 were punctual with an advance call prior to arrival. Olivia, Donisha, and Neasia were polite, professional, and best of all charismatic and friendly. They addressed any minor issue I requested adjusted. I was actually nervous and had feelings of guilt to pay someone to clean for us but they remarkably made me feel at ease in my own home. I was so relieved after seeing the results that I was teary after their leaving and in awe of the mental relief that everything was done all at once and didn't need to be attended to (or more often, not attended to) daily. This service is, at least in our particular current place in work and home life, worth rearranging our budget to recoup the time and happiness to focus on our goals.

It was okay. They were in and out in a couple of hours. Their pricing was good.

They come out every two weeks to clean my home. They are professional and their prices are reasonable. There are usually three people here doing the work and they do a good job.

I like that when you call there is always somebody that answers and they get somebody there right away. There's not like a wishy-washy type thing as far as getting somebody there. It's like they are there and you can count on them. I've used them before, so I know this. And then they e-mail you right away confirming everything, and then they give you a call. They e-mail you the day before just letting you know that they are available. And then they give you a time frame as to when they are coming. They are very punctual. They are clean. They do their job, they don't screw around. They are not playing on the phone or whatever. They're doing what they are supposed to be doing. Their pricing is competitive with others.

I wasn't very happy with the work that was done.

Note: I have continued using Better Life Maids. They had a slight rate increase from $99 to $103 ... still a great value in my opinion.

After scheduling the clean, they sent a reminder email the day before with the estimated time of arrival. On the day, they called me before they arrived. letting me know they were on the way. The team dusted, cleaned, vacuumed and mopped my home, using green cloths. They were especially thorough with the bathrooms, with sparkly clean shower doors and mirrors. They also made the beds, straightened the towels, and left a thank you note with mints.

Easy booking, very prompt in returning calls. I love the use of email. They provided a thorough explanation of all the services included in the deep cleaning and let me use an Angie's List coupon even though I forgot to leave it for them.



House was very clean, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. I have them set up to do a once a month cleaning.

Arrived within time slot given. Nma did call to let me know 30 minutes before they arrived. Nma was polite and professional. I forgot to negotiate cleaning the inside of the oven over the phone but she called the home office and gave me a quote and it was performed the same day. The oven was such a mess but they took care of it like pros. At the end of the cleaning I was sent a summary email stating what was cleaned and what was not and it was VERY DETAILED. I requested a couple rooms not be cleaned and they respected that and didnt touch them. Ive never used a maid service before so I cannot compare but the price was reasonable and the staff was polite, on time, and my house looks and smells clean. I will use them again and am considering setting up a scheduled monthly cleaning with them.
