Amco Ranger Termite & Pest Solutions

I was very impressed with Amco's professionalism, punctuality, and expertise when it comes to pest control. Their pricing was also very good, but ultimately I decided to go with another pest control company that was already servicing a property I inherited. Otherwise, I would have gone with Amco.

We had a mix up with appointment time, but the manager was very prompt in responding to us to address the mishap. Staff was helpful.

Always courteous and extremely knowledgeable of both product and solutions to a pest free environment. Haven't seen pests in our home!

The whole process of using the provider was an administrative nightmare - I initially called and made an appointment for them to come out and treat me deck for carpenter bees. The lady who took my call, informed me that a technician would be out on a Tuesday the following week, between 9am and noon. The technician who appeard at my home was on time, and exlained the treatment program (initial treatment of spraying the holes that the bees had made in the deck, and also spraying the entire under surface of the deck, with a follow up treatment later on). He explained that after the contract was signed, he would schedule the initial treatment. FIRST MISUNDERSTANDING, I would have thought that the lady who initially set p the appointment would have explained to me that the first visit was only to sign a contract, I expected that since they were sending out a technician, the first visit would be the actual initial treatment. As the technician was checking out the deck, the bees were buzzing all around, so he went ahead an treated the holes that the bees had made in the deck, but did not spray the underside of the deck. Later that same day, a lady from the provider called and set up the appointment for the following Thursday to begin the treatment. Several hours later, another lady from the provider called and asked when I wanted the follow up treatment scheduled. I explained that someone had called earlier to set up the initial treatment, and she stated that she would check the schedule and if the Thursday appointment was NOT on the schedule she would add it. On the scheduled Thursday, a technician appeared stating that he was here to do the follow on treatment. I explained to him that the first complete treatment had not been done, and so he did the spraying of the entire under surface of the deck. When he was done, he explained what he had done, and left me the paperwork Later, I noticed that on the paperwork, this spraying of the underside of the deck, was listed as Follow up service. SECOND MISUNDERSTANDING, the lady who scheduled the appointment listed the treatment as a follow up not as the initial treatment. So at this point, I do not know if I will ever see this service provider again to actually do a follow up service or not.

They do a fine job, a little expensive but over all fine.

Jeff came out and did the inspection and two days later a young man came out to perform the service. He was nice, friendly, professional and cleaned up after himself. He got right to his job of getting rid of the termites and there was no fooling around. He was also ready to answer any questions I may have had. When the job was done he thank ed me for dealing with Amco, another valuable employee. The only problem I have is with Amco itself and their service contract. For a fee of $24.00 a month they come out a year later for another inspection. In the South they perform the job, check again after a year (no addition cost) and if there is no sign of termites they go on their way. They don't sell contracts to do an inspection. If it hadn't been that Jeff was my neighbor I doubt very much I would have gone with Amco.

They came out next day because I was having problems with mice and looked around. It worked out the the tech was able to come back that weekend and set the house. No more spraying for bugs in the inside, everything treated on the outside and I love it!

Overall, the experience was good. We haven't had any problems with bees since!

Ths is a very professional company and, though we miss a worker who retired last year, we were pleased with the exterminator they sent this year. We are on the service plan for termite control and have been for years. Several years ago, termites were discovered in the garage and successfully treated. This year we had ants and brown recluse spiders and paid extra for that successful extermination. While we wish the service were less expensive, we have learned from our many years of home ownership that you get what you pay for and with Amco Ranger, we have gotten good, effective services.

We are very happy with them. They were very courteous. The technician was very knowledgeable. Their price is very good.

They were pretty good and efficient. They did what they needed to do. They didn’t make me go for the services that I didn’t want to do. I had no problems with them. I would use them again in the future.

So far they have proven very reliable and have done a good job. Price-wise they are a little higher, but it's very worth it.

This is the first year we have used Amco Ranger. In the past we have had problems with crickets and spiders particularly in our garage and basement. We signed up to have service throughout the year. They did an initial service inside and outside our home and then came back every 3 months for additional maintanance service. We also called them in between treatments when we noticed ants in our kitchen and they came out and treated the problem right away without additional charge. We have had an entire year of service now with no issues with crickets or spiders. We plan on continuing to use their services and have been very satisfied with the results.

.I would like to preface this review with a disclaimer: I am not related to any of the employees of Amco Pest Control. That said, I've utilized their services on two separate occasions. The first incident took place on 7/3/10 and involved removing a nest of hornets from beneath the eaves of my mother-in-law's house. With a party scheduled outdoors later that week, Charlie Sloan arrived at 7:00 a.m. to remove the football-sized nest located near the front door. The removal and disposal of the nest took about fifteen minutes and voila! Problem solved and the ensuing party was a success with guests being none the wiser. The second occasion utilizing Amco's services occurred eight months later and involved the application of various barriers around the house and perimeter of the roof to prevent squirrels from gaining access into the house. Once again, Charlie - accompanied with another gentleman on this visit - arrived at the scheduled time, performed their work in a professional manner and corrected the problem; much to the squirrels' chagrin.

They do good work. They repaired some of the termite damage and did an excellent job. They are reliable.

The people at AMCO RANGER were very helpful and informed me that the builder agreement covered me for the first three years and after that I could continue the coverage for an annual cost of $125 per year with annual inspections. I am defintely planning on working with them when the initial 3-year coverage expires.

We had called Amco a few times in the past to ask questions about various insects we've found in and around our house (especially spiders). They were always very helpful and knowledgeable. When we found some little oriental cockroaches in our basement, we decided to have Amco out to spray. They came out, were very punctual and professional, and sprayed the basement and exterior. We've noticed a dramatic decrease in bugs in the basement compared to last year. We had a coupon, so the cost above reflects a 10% discount.
