We bought a deal, and it the value and the srvice were fantastic. We are their only customer aout where we live (at this time) but as good as they are I am sure there will be more.

They were great. I had an appointment time between 3:00 and 5:00 and he showed up on time even though they are slammed this time of year. I bought a new home and could not get the sprinkler system working. Within 10 minutes sprinklers were going and he adjusted each sprinkler head and explained what he was doing during the whole process. He explained to me how to program the system and make any adjustments that I would have to do through out the course of the year. he also put in a rain sensor so I don't have to manually shut off the system if it rains. I will be using The Lawn and Sprinkler Guys for my fall seeding and winterizing the system in the winter. Thanks!

Everything went fine. They came and gave me a bid and then I scheduled them. The work they did turned out like the way I expected it to. They were not as quick as I probably would have wanted. Their prices really didn't vary from what I looked at. I will use them again.

I had bought a house with a wonky sprinkler system. We knew the controller was bad. A crew was sent out for the estimate since it was likely to be straightforward repair. Replacement was the only option, since the box was fried. I was given a quote for 2 replacement options, chose the one a bit fancier than I needed. The other unit would require a few zones to be handled poorly. Although the unit could be obtained online for a discount, and it is rather easy to connect, the installation included a checkup and thorough walk through of the programming and a lot of the reasoning behind it, such as volume recommended, difference between rotary and spray delivery volume, and different seasonal requirements. The instructions were probably the clearest, most helpful and efficiently thorough I have ever gotten concerning a newly installed device for the home. I had been unfairly anxious about communication because the supervisor spoke with a bit of an accent. The checkup showed just one malfunctioning head, so they replaced it for free, and now the area affected does much better. They also fished the wires through the wall, where they had just been stapled to the outside of it. For our situation, no irrigation system experience, it was a reasonable price, I think. The same supervisor came to shut down for winter, once again very helpful with answers to my questions. I didn't have to wait many days, though it was peak winterizing time. I have not referred to my records. Dates and the price are approximate.

ALERT the company has new ownership and earlier reviews may no longer reflect the current performance. The initial visit began at the agreed upon time and date. Diagnosis was that a new control box was required but service person would have to return after obtaining a controller. When tech did not return I called and new owner agreed to provide service. He appeared with new controller but no tools. After improvising and using my tools he got the control box installed and system still did not work. New diagnosis was that a valve needed to be replaced. He worked around the valve (to allow the system to work) and returned a couple days later to replace the valve. System declared fixed and I paid the bill. I then remembered that the "workaround" was not restored to proper working order. Called the Company and was told that indeed the workaround should be undone. I finished the job myself.

They do use the 2 hour window for their appts. But their work is good, they seem knowledgable, and they are very friendly and easy to work with. Considering that this was half their usual fee they took their time and made sure the system worked right

I opted into the "Lawn Sprinkler Tune-up & Full System Inspection" deal for $50. The appointment was scheduled promptly, and the representative was punctual and professional. After looking at the system in operation the representative said that he would return with a proposal.Again, being very punctual, the representative returned with a proposal for $2000 to modify and add to my existing system. None of the stated inspections or tuning activities were performed.I feel like I paid $50 to get a proposal for more work. I will be calling the representative back and asking if 'that's all'? After a follow up call, I was told that my experience was no 'normal' and that the proposal for $2000 was for a top end re-work of the whole system. He offered to come back and build a less expensive proposal, but that the tuning and inspection that I paid for wasn't possible due to the way my system was installed. My system has served me well for the years that I've had the house, with a few dry spots and some areas that get too much water. I purchased this service hoping for some guidance on watering times and if some heads could be adjusted to perform better. I still think that would be helpful, but I don't think the system is a total loss. I've never had to pay for a quote or work proposal before, and that's what I feel like I just did. After another follow up, we have come to a resolution to apply the fees to any work that is done, or if nothing is done, refund the fees.

We have a large lot (acre) with an irrigation system that was installed when the house was built in 1987. The backyard zones had never been used. There are 11 zones in the system. We had several heads completely broken off and many were completely buried. When Jesse and Scott arrived and assessed the system they knew it would be a challenge. Jesse started in looking for buried heads and control valves. We had a few laughs about a treasure hunt. One valve was found nearly overtaken by a huge tree root and concrete piling for our deck. He dug it out and removed the root - only a small leak but he re-routed the pipe and rewired the valve. It took four days of real diligence, but they found all the old head and controls. They repaired or replaced the broken things, upgraded the heads and made the system more efficient. I can't say enough good things about these guys. They know their stuff and worked out solutions to every problem they came across. Jesse even thanked us for the"challenge" our system offered. It is impossible to estimate how much a job like this will run, but Scott and Jesse worked hard to be sure they could repair what they could and worked like mad men while they were here. They even called in extra troops when needed. The price for the whole job was fair and cerrtainly saved over replacing the entire system. We will recommend these guys to anyone that asks. It is good to know we have a relationship with a company that knows our system very well and is interested in meeting our needs over the years to come. Great job guys! A+++

I started obtaining bids for a sprinkler system in October, 2011. I obtained two bids. The cost estimate was approximately the same from both companies. I hired Tom because he was highly rated on Angie's List and because I liked his approach to the project. The work was performed approximately one month later. The installers were very good. Tom later told me that the installation supervisor and one of the workers had been with him for 12 years. Not long afterward, the company winterized the system. The company has been reorganized and is now know as the Lawn and Sprinkler Guys. Tom's health has forced him to cut back on his activities and Scott Jared is the new president. Scott has worked with Tom for several years and will be responsible for operations. Tom will still perform sales and estimates. There services have expanded to include lawn and landscape maintenance. Scott recently came by to de-winterize my sprinkler system.

Overall the job went well. I wasn't happy at first with the amount of time it took to complete the project as I was originally told it would be 2 days which turned into 5 days. In my opinion this could have been avoided by staffing the project correctly. The work turned out well and we were happy. The employees are very nice and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. After a week I noticed that one of the zones was spitting out water whenever any zone nearby was running. I called in and scheduled my winteization along with this issue. After leaving work early and getting home I was called 1 minute before my scheduled appointment to tell me that no one was going to be out that day due to illness. The appointment was then rescheduled for a Saturday. That Saturday no one called or showed up. I called in on Monday to ask what the deal was and was promised someone would show up that week to winterize the system and fix the issue with the valve. Someone did show up and the system was winterized and the valve was looked at but no problem could be found. Fast forward to March. I turned my system back on and the first thing I checked was the zone. It still had the issue. I called to request a service for this. To my surprise 2 people showed up and fixed the issue within 5 minutes(rock in the valve from the install). I would use this company again but gave them a B overall as 2 of my scheduled appointments ended in no shows.

Done quickly. I would have liked to see a second round of all zones to make sure they were clear. But they skipped around the zones and spent a short time in each zone.

We originally had an appointment with another company that we have used for the past several years. That company ended up not showing up for the appointment, even though they gave us a four hour window, and did not call until the next day to apologize and reschedule. We cancelled that appointment and used Angie's List to pick another vendor, and found the Lawn Sprinkler Guy. I called and talked to a very friendly person who set up an appointment (a two hour window) for the next week. On the day of the service, Brett called to let us know he was going to be 15 minutes late, but he did show up at that time and was finished quickly. Our experience with the Lawn Sprinkler Guy company was very positive from setting up the appointment, to the cost being $10 less than the company we previously used, to the actual work being completed. I would recommend them, and plan to use them again in the spring to have some other sprinkler work completed.

The system was installed and works great. I was very pleased with Tom Staples and his crew. They were very courteous and professional. They answered every question I had and were very responsive. Tom spent much more time explaining the system he was recommending than any of the other three companies I contacted. Plus his price was the most reasonable. I called three of his references and got outstanding reviews. His crew has been with him for many years and knows what they are doing. If you need a sprinkler system, you cannot go wrong by calling Tom Staples and the Lawn Sprinkler Guys. Fantastic to work with!!

I was a able to get an appointment for the next day. Two workmen showed up early in the 2 hour window period I was given. After a short conversation, they quickly got to work. Tom, who I think is the owner, stopped by for a few minutes to discuss my system. He did not try to sell me anything, just make sure they understood what I wanted them to do. Job took about 1.5 hours, but they found and replaced 2 sprinkler heads that were lost after a landscaping project, adjusted one head that I previously thought was broken, adjusted all the sprinkler heads so that I am not watering the street or my neighbors' yards, and made adjustments to the time schedule. I am very pleased with their work, and felt like the price was good for the work they did. I would definitely use The Lawn Sprinkler Guys again.

I had a great experience. They were very professional yet friendly. They were running about 5-10 minutes late and took the time to call me. I was impressed they didn't give me 4 hour window but when they called to tell me they were running about 5-10 minutes late I was blown away. Great guys, great service!

Had four companies i interviewed prior to choosing Tom to install irrigation on our 1 acre lot in May of 2009. This was not an easy task with 3/4 of the yard being hilly and different avenues of slope. We have had this system for two years now and could not be more pleased. Have eight zones, a control panel that is easy to use and a rain sensor which will prevent the irrigation from coming on if it rains. I always wait to give reviews until i get a first-hand look at customer service after the sale. This Spring when the water was turned on, it worked fine, but started noticing one of the valves not producing the normal capacity of water output. I called Tom's office to have them come take a look. They were on the site in one day and replaced a faulty valve. So now, i can officially say this company provides not only excellent installs, but great customer service as well. Tom is a very professional person and great communicator. I recommend the "The Lawn Sprinker Guys" to be part of anyone's list for irrigation needs.
