 + -1 moreHe was very friendly and knowlegable, and took the time to explain what he was doing as he worked. My side yard had 13 heads on one zone, and the heads furthest down the line were not getting enough water on the lawn. He explained that no more than seven or eight heads should be on one zone. This is something I can't take up with the company that installed the system, as they have gone out of business. However, rather than trying to convince me to have him separate these into two separate zones ( which would have been very expensive) he spent over an hour trying different types of heads and different ouput volume nozzles on the 13 sprinkler heads. He finally got the ouput balanced by gradating from lower volume heads at the beginning of the line to higher volume heads as they progressed to the end of the line. All of this work was done for $101 including the cost of the new heads/nozzles. I am very happy with the service and the results. My grass is greening up; I have found my new irrigation company,

 + -1 moreIt worked out fine. I paid close to $200 total and he came out within a couple weeks of me purchasing the deal. Nothing stood out, they just did what they advertised and there were no problems wit the work that they did.

 + -1 moreIt was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went just fine. It was a pretty good deal. He came on time. He was knowledgeable.
Description of Work: The Lawn and Sprinkler Guys came out 10 days after purchasing the deal. They turned on the water and then went around to each of the sprinkler heads and made sure that they were running properly. I've got 8 zones so he had to go to the basement and turn the water on and off 8 different times.

The way they do their process is much less invasive than most companies so your grass can recover quickly. We have had to have a couple of adjustments and they have been handled quickly and correctly. Thank you "The Lawn & Sprinkler Guys" for doing such a good job. We highly recommend this company.......

Joe from L&S came and was wonderful to work with. He was friendly and explained everything that i wanted to know and helped me program the system for the rest of the year. I would use L&S for my future sprinkler needs.

 + -1 moreScheduled on the first call. Showed up on time. Provided estimate at time of appointment. Scott was very knowledgeable and professional. Second lowest bid of five bids. Time to install was the same as 4 of the 5 estimates. Installed components pretty much the same as 4 of the 5 bids. Warranty pretty much the same as all bidders. Bid a drip system for my planter area - all others bid a spray system. Would certainly consider using them in the future and recommend they be included in any bidding process.

 + -1 moreVery pleased with the Lawn and Sprinkler Guys. All work was done professionally and promptly. At the end of the watering season, they depressurized the water lines and cleared them out to prepare the system for winter. Since we had so much rain in 2013, I delayed putting the system into operation. The friendly scheduler was able to get an appointment the same week I called. The guys performed a thorough check of the entire system, adjusted the sprinkler heads for maximum coverage, and went through the system settings to make sure the lawn would get the right amount of water. They showed me one area that had low pressure and poor and would benefit from a different sprinkler head design. I went ahead and had these heads replaced, and the new ones do give much better coverage.
Description of Work: End-of-season (2012) and start-of-season (2013) sprinkler servicing. Replacement of low pressure sprinkler heads.

Description of Work: They checked out the sprinkler system. I had a damaged head and I wanted to make sure things were operating normally. It was spring check-up. He turned the sprinkler on, checked the system and did the quick repair on the sprinkler head.

He even tried digging one bush out that same day!! (It was pretty deep and stubborn, but I was very impressed that he tried that day, and happy that he had a good idea of what he'd find the day of the service.) As he told me, he came back out two weeks later. Job done! He even offered us advice for our existing trees and that is always nice to hear. We will be calling them back to our home in the fall to prep our lawn for next spring. Thank you Devid and The Lawn and Sprinkler Guys! Can't wait to use you again!

 + 0 moreI was so impressed with their knowledge and attentiveness to details that we will have a complete assessment done to update the system to save water and to keep a great looking lawn.
Description of Work: Earlier in May they completed a sprinkler system audit checking for broken heads and that our yard had the right coverage to reduce water usage. Then I had to have sod replaced in a few areas and noticed that two zones' heads needed adjusting to prevent hand watering. They were able to fit me in very quickly helping me avoid hand watering. Love their attentiveness and enthusiasm for customer satisfaction. Debbie their office manager is so up beat it is a pleaseure to call for aan ppointment

 + -1 moreThe Lawn and Sprinklers Guys were here 6/24/2013 and spent the entire day installing the new sprinkler system and even finished it when it was taking them a lot longer than they thought. They were very patient and did a meticulous job. They answered all questions we had and said that if we had any problems to call them back and they would check it out. We were impressed by their professionalism and the way that they do their work. For having a sprinkler system installed, our yard looked good when they were done. It really would be hard to guess that is what we had done if you hadn't seen them do the job. They were very careful to put all the grass back where it belonged where the heads were placed. They did an exceptional job.
Description of Work: The provider came out and examined my sprinkler system, tried to get it going, but realized pipes were broken under the ground and probably most of the pipes underground on the whole yard was that way. They said that the cost to repair the system would be about what a new system would cost, so we thought about it and we decided it was smartest to do the new system and the new system would be covered under their warranty. They put the new system in 6/24/2013.

 + -1 moreThe representative responded promptly to my request for an estimate. I was impressed by the multi page presentation package, which contained a great deal of easily understood information about the system. The system runs automatically and is controlled by a handy panel in the garage. From the panel, I can control watering patterns, frequency and amounts. The system includes a wireless rain sensor. Whenever the water in the rain gauge, which is mounted on the roof line, rises above a quarter of an inch, irrigation is suspended until the gauge level falls below a quarter of an inch. I was also really pleased with the representative's knowledge of my small town's excessive regulations for this type of project. When installing, the crew minimized disruption to the existing lawn and they reseeded where necessary. Installation only took a few hours and the representative spent quite a bit of time walking me through the control panel functions. I was very pleased with the quality of work and the company's responsiveness to my many questions. The people I spoke with were enthusiastic, courteous, and very knowledgeable. I will definitely contact them again when I want to expand my irrigation system.

 + 0 moreI can not find the billing date for the above work. The date noted above in the approx. date of service is a "best guess" but certainly only that. It may have even been a different month. I have included relevant details ragarding the work performed just above.
Description of Work: The service was a "deal" through Angies List to have core aeration done. Given the price for the deal, I'm sure the company was very busy getting the work completed. I was given a "week" in which the crew would show up and do the work-- nothing more specific than that & I was specifically told they wouldn't pin the time down to a particular day and/or time. Glad I don't have locked fences, dogs in the back yard, or paranoid neighbors who may have called the cops. The crew did show up late in the scheduled week altho. while I was home at the time (I'm retired), I didn't even know they were there. They didn't knock, inform me they were there or who they worked for or anything. I just happened to come to the front door & look out just as they were finishing up the side yard and they then proceeded to load the aerator. They then drove off without saying a word to me even tho. I continued to stand at the open door. Upon looking over the yard afterward, they went over each area one pass only-- hardly a quality core aeration job. Certainly worth the $70 since I didn't have to rent and haul the equipment to & from the rental agency, but one pass is far from adequate. Looks like I'll be doing my own work next fall.
