The Lawn and Sprinkler Guys

It went well. They provided the services indicated in the deal and I appreciate their communication both before and after the services were provided. The company called 24 hours in advance to let you know they were coming and then provided a follow-up note with what they did. Today is our last treatment, but I have no doubt it will be done as well as the prior two treatments.

Technician (Nat) was prompt and very courteous and professional. Nat took great pains to restore our turf/lawn to its original appearance. He took extra time to examine all sprayer nozzles, and adjusted all of their spraying patterns. Nat recommended changing a particular sprinkler head, which we agreed to do; it is operating much more efficiently now. Nat was very personable, conscientious and respectful, both to us and to our property. Finally, he offered us some "helpful hints" for future, optional upgrades to our sprinkler system, without "pressuring" us to decide on-the-spot. We have already recommended the Lawn and Sprinkler Guys' services to one of our neighbors, based on this positive experience.

Nat came out and performed regular maintenance as well as replaced a few sprinkler heads. Nat recommended a few upgrades that would optimize system performance. Very punctual and professional. Would definitely recommend!

They have been taking care of my lawn this year, and honestly my lawn looks better than any of my neighbors. I have used several other companies in the past but The Lawn and Sprinkler Guys have done a tremendous job. MY neighbors take their yards seriously and they have commented how green mine is right now!

We only recently moved to this home and never had a sprinkler system before. We had no idea how to program it or even turn it on. Seems like the previous owner did not use it. Nat inspected the system and found one broken sprinkler head which he repaired in about 10 minutes for $21. He then programmed the system to turn off and on at specific times and explained why he chose the time and duration for best lawn care and lowest water usage. Nat showed us how to use the system and how to program it. He advised us about winterizing and the condition of the controller. He said it was old and not a high quality piece of equipment. We asked if we should replace it. He advised us to wait and see how it worked after the tune up and not to replace it before we had to. Nat was on time, friendly, efficient and professional. Nice guy! We will call his company again if we need service.

Went very well, very professional and knowledgeable. Total inspecation of system including timer, more tha I expected and great value.

A bit of history before i start the review of yesterday's work. First let me say that these guys stand behind their work. A couple of months one of their guys came out to replace the back flow preventer valve (by the way he is no longer working for them and as you will see there is a very good reason for that). He had trouble getting leake fixed from the main pipe into the backflow preventer valve, he was ready to leave and i pointed out that the elbow was still leaking, He did fix it but as it turns out the pipe he used was not the type of pipe to use in that situation so the day before that same joint sprung a leak. I called and alerted the office about it so the tech could have the appropriate supplies on hand. Ok, now to Friday's visit. Nat arrived at 8 am and assessed the backflow preventer valve situation. He immediatetly got to work and dug everything out, removed the case around the backflow preventer valve, took everything apart. That is when he showed me the part that was not meant to be used for that. He reassembled everything and the process a piece at the opposite end broke. So he dug up around the control valve at that end and found a pressure reducing valve. He didnt understand why the original installers put that in because as he put it "we want all the pressure the city can provide". I offered to pay for those repairs as I didnt think that it was the company's responsibility. He said no it was their responsibility check out all of that when they do their tuneups. I said ok and proceeded to get to work. He got everything back together, turned on the water, put the case back on. Low and behodl it started to leak again at the same place. He discovered after digging down farther the pipe coming out of the water meter was not at a true 90 degree angle. So he pushed it back to a true 90 degrees braced the pipe and reconnected everything. This was morning so he said he wanted to wait until later in the afternoon to turn on the water and let the glue set up. He removed two sprinkler heads because with the increase in water pressure they were no longer needed. He charged me for the caps and labor to remove the heads and put in the caps. Very reasonable!! He came back at 5 turned on the water and boy what a difference!! I highley recommend these guys!!!

The service went well. They did exactly the deal stated. The technician was efficient and quick to respond. I had no issues with scheduling and everything went as planned.

We asked The Lawn and Sprinkler Guys to quote a new sprinkler system. Scott came out promptly, drew up a plan on the spot, and gave us their quote. We had planned to get another bid or two; but after talking to Scott (and reading the reviews on Angie's List), we decided to give them our business without the other bids. We are not sorry we did! They were all over the two-day project--I haven't seen people work any harder than Scott's crew. Everyone, from start to finish, did their very best to make sure the installation was done to our satisfaction. We look forward to using this company for other services in the future!

They did fine. They were on time and did what they were supposed to do. They were also easy to schedule with and I didn’t have any problems with them.

No Details no one showed up or bothered to contact me

The winterization went well, although we did have a small leak because it wasn’t completely sealed off. They actually discovered that we had a leak after they came back out.

They came out to look at my system and found a part that needed replaced. Therefore, they couldn’t do the opening. They’ve not come back since. They were nice and punctual enough, though.

They did a pretty good job. I also had them do some additional work on other sprinkler heads, and I would use them again. The system has held up fine since then. They were very knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions. We also wanted a quote to move some sprinkler heads, but they've not got back to us yet.

On 6/12/2014, I called "The Lawn and Sprinkler Guys" office to confirm they would fax in the backflow test results. They said they would. On 6/16/2014, I received a notice from Jackson County PWSD #13 that the test results concerning the backflow assembly at our residence were never sent in. On 7/3/2014, I called Jackson County PWSD #13. They confirmed "The Lawn and Sprinkler Guys" still have not sent in their backflow test results.

appointment set very quickly, technician showed up on time as promised, proceeded to check all the sprinkler heads in the 8 zones. found a couple not seated properly in the ground from the winter freeze and thaw. He repositioned and all is working well. Great, fast service, recommend them!

We had a pretty bad experience with the Lawn & Sprinkler Guys & were quite disappointed since we had based our lawn care choice soley on Angie's List reviews since we were short on time. Our lawn had some bare patches because of the super hot last couple of summers as well as some low lying areas which we asked the Lawn & Sprinkler Guys to help with. We had difficulty at times with getting Devon (our service guy) to call us back & return to do work he said he would, the dirt work especially was done very poorly and incompletely, and our yard looks worse this summer after a year of care from the Lawn & Sprinkler Guys than it did prior to their services. To add insult to injury, Debbie, who is the contact in their office is very unprofessional and likes to blame the customer. She first insisted that our grass must be watered & implied that we weren't doing so which she said was the reason our yard looked so bad. When I said that we were watering & that we have a sprinkler system, she said that the reason for the poor result was that we didn't pay our bills to them in a timely manner. We were in fact slow to pay bills since the work was inadequate, but we kept trying to call Devon about the situation & also informed the office at times. You'd think that a company would want to make things right rather than getting this bad review, & we gave them every opportunity to correct the situation this spring, but Debbie was more interested in being right than keeping a good company name. Apparently, we should have just kept our $1400 in our pocket & kept the same lawn. Update: As anyone can clearly see from the company's response, they prove my point that they're just interested in being right rather than treating the customer right. As I told them, nobody in their right mind would send good money after bad to continue poor service with them. Our bills weren't paid because of the poor results & difficulty getting Devon back out to further service. Our lawn only suffered from the same stress of a hot summer and cold winter that everyone's else did, but our neighbors' all seemed to bounce back in one season, not the 2+ years that the Lawn & Sprinkler Guys are stating we need. Lots of $$$ for a terrible lawn. Very dissatisfied indeed!

It worked out great and they did a great job. They were very easy to work with. They got the job done in about one hour. The scheduling was easy and they did the job while I was not at home.

Nat was on time, very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I had an old system but he was able to replace a part to fix a major leak. He took the time needed to make sure it was fixed. He also replaced a sprinkler head as a last minute request without hesitation. I will definitely use this company in the future!

There were two guys (sorry I didn't catch their names). I was impressed because they evaluated quickly, determined the issues and corrected them quickly. They knew exactly what to look for and knew exactly how the system should have been designed. They made quick corrections and were done in just over an hour. Some might say a little pricey, I do not. I say this was a good price for a very professional service. I gave them a "B" on punctuality, but they did arrive within the range of the agreed upon timeframe. They were not late, just later than I anticipated. I will not use anyone else again, I will always use this company for any lawn sprinkler work in this area.
