Light was a challenge due to vaulted ceilings and the type of light fixture. Josh was resourceful and creative in finding a way to get it to look great when others would have given up or hung improperly due to limited parts that came in box. Very pleased with this work. The curtain rods were an easy job that he delegated to Gary his assistant. Unfortunately Gary was not as efficient. Even with a level he hung one crooked. While easily corrected it left extra holes in the wall. I would hire josh again with one limitation and that's that he comes alone or with different help. He arrived on time for a Monday 8 am appointment which was also impressive.

I want to start out by saying I would NOT recommend Beatty Home Improvements. If you want to know why, please keep reading. I purchased a deal for 4 hours of woodwork for $149.00. I talked to Joshua in advance and he said if I had other work that exceeded the 4 hours it would be $50 per hour. I was OK with that because the work I had should have easily been completed in 4 hours and I thought $50 per hour after that would be OK. Joshua and his assistant arrived 15 minutes early - then immediately complained about how far the drive was. Joshua and I had emailed several times and spoke on the phone twice. I made sure to tell him in our first telephone conversation that it would be a long drive, he said that was no problem. We had already purchased all of the materials and supplies he had asked for. My husband explained what needed to be done and the work began - slowly, but the work started. After about an hour we were told that we needed something else to complete the job - no problem, my husband left to purchase the materials. When we got to almost 4 hours I expected Joshua to ask me if he should continue at $50 per hour, but he did not. When he finally completed the job after 5 hours\15 minutes he came in to let me know the work was complete. He told me I owed $400. Of course I immediately said, "I purchased your package for 4 hours for $149.00. He did not even remember that! After proving that he had been paid, he said "Then how about $170.00? I reminded him that he had told me that it would $50 per additional hour. At that point he started trying to justify why he needed more money. He said "Can you just help me out with a little gas money?" I haven't had that request from anyone other than one of my children - and that has been a long time ago! I gave him $100, but probably should not have. The work was OK, but he clearly knew nothing about cedar siding or how siding should be placed. He simply cut chunks out and replaced small pieces - very unprofessional! I had enough lumber to replace the entire length of the effected boards. I did not realize that one of us would have to explain exactly how to do the job. I am very unhappy with the job and would absolutely not recommend this company to do any work for anyone else, unless you are prepared to follow them around and tell them exactly what to do and how to do it! If this was not enough, after they left my husband found 2 used nails and a 3" lag bolt in our driveway where they had been working. An overall poor experience.

In our case we needed grout restoration in two bathrooms. I marked about 30 squares in the tiles in our two bathrooms. Beatty Home Improvement arrived on time with two workers who could work 1 1/2 hours each (total 3 hrs). They finished in about 1 hr and 50 minutes but did not charge me anything extra. (Some of that time was allowing the work to dry). They finished all the work I had laid out and my have done more. I did not ask them and all the work matched the good grout squares in looks so I could not tell. They also did a good job of cleaning up.

The service was okay. I did have to reinstall the kitchen exhaust fan above the stove since there was a gap between the wall and the unit. Also the ceiling electrical box was not labeled after they installed it. I would say they are pleasant but could use more care when they do their work. I did use them again after that.

Both Josh and I were flexible on scheduling since this was an outside job that required good weather. No problem, and I did use him for another project re-installing dry wall in my garage ceiling.

They were punctual, started working immediately. Finished in the 3 hours I bid for. The bathroom looks brand new. I highly recommend Joshua Beaty.

He really was efficient with time and quality, therefore getting done way more than I thought he would be able to in the time frame. A few new lights, repaired a closet door, new sink faucet installed, and a few more things! Great work, would highly recommend!

Josh was a little late, he took the wrong turn. He was very conscience about not about not scratching my hard wood floors and not leaving a mess. He had all his tools with him. Yes, I would definitely use him again.

We originally hired the contractor to repair and/or restore a deck around our pool however after we discussed what we wanted done it took a rather long time for the contractor to get back with us. Then once he did contact us back he stated he would not be able to start the job for another 2-3 weeks. Because we had family functions we were planning for we decided to use the contractor to put together a gazebo for our backyard and find someone else to address the deck issue we had. We solidified a date and time for the contractor to put together our gazebo. He advised us what time he would arrive however after numerous calls he finally showed up 30-45 minutes late. Now when he arrived he apologized and explained the reason for his tardiness however it still does not erase the fact he was late with no phone call or any other communication advising same. But I will say this one he arrived he started working and soon is partner arrived and the gazebo was put up in no time. He and is partner cleaned up once they were finished and the job was complete. With all of that being said I would use Josh again as long as we have a complete understanding as to the start time and our schedules work.

The job was more than I expected since it is a rental of mine and I was not aware of the extent of the damage to all my fence posts. I may hire him in the spring.

Joshua and his worker was scheduled to start work at 8:00 am and they arrived promptly. We discussed the material that I purchased to install a new banister that lead to the basement. I had purchased a two pole and Joshua suggested that I keep the old one and all he will need to do was sand it down then repaint it. His suggestion actually saved me money. I paid $99 for 3 hours of work and they were done within that time frame. I am very pleased how the newly installed banister look and I will use his service again.

Great. Joshua and his helper were fantastic. Very professional and very accommodating. Again, they had to run to the hardware store to exchange a faucet for another (my error). The service was fantastic, they were polite and professional, and we were also given a bid on a more extensive job. The price for was they provided was excellent. My wife and I are very pleased with the work!

They did an excellent job, and I have ended up hiring them for more projects.

I just want my money back at this point. Thanks!

I spoke to Joshua on the phone. He apologized that I had to wait about 2 weeks for the appointment because he was about to go on his honeymoon. No problem! He arrived on time and I explained what needed to be done. I wanted him to clean a bathroom exhaust fan but he thought it was better if we replaced it. I went off to Lowes to purchase a new exhaust fan which he was able to install. I had a water spot on the bathroom ceiling. Joshua recommended that I purchase a product, made for that purpose. While I was at Lowes I purchased that as well. He also hung an award plaque and put caulk around the bathtub. He was very polite and professional. There was no additional charge.

Joshua arrived a few minutes early and completed the jobs within the 2 hour Big Deal time allotted. Joshua worked diligently, was professional and did quality work. I would definitely use his services again.

Had a malfunctioning sliding under-cabinet trash can that was out of alignment; rather than replace the entire unit, they were able to put the existing drawer back in alignment and fixed it.

See above. But the work was excellent.

The area repaired is very hard to notice any difference with existing areas next to it since it was good repair /workmanship. Would use again for other services such as siding and roofing.

Pros: The contractor and his assistant arrived promptly and surveyed the work. It didn't take him long to figure out what needed to be done and give us the options. He finished the work quickly and seemed knowledgeable about his work. He also suggested replacing some hardware, which we had not thought of as part of the problem. It was a great fix! Cons: After he told us what needed to be done he asked for cash to go buy supplies. That seemed really weird. When he walked out the door to the store I wasn't sure I would ever see him again. When he was done he asked for $24 for 4 tubes of caulk used. My husband could not fathom that this project required 4 tubes of caulk. But I have to say the kitchen smelled like caulk for two days, so maybe he really did need that much! Pro again: He DID come back with supplies! He apologized for taking too long as he needed to go to two stores. He brought us change and a receipt. I guess he has no working capital or is brand new. Just struck me as really odd.

They called me but I had to put it off for now. I’m working on a chandelier that I want them to hang. They were real nice about it and told me to call them when I’m ready for them. They did wait 4 months to contact me, but I knew I wasn't ready for them yet so I didn't try to contact them.

Fixed wood rot around garage door and back basement door. Did a thorough job. Removed old wood. Replaced and then painted. I personally think I have the best trim of anyone on my block now. Thanks!
