Beaty was generally very conscientious and honest. They contacted me soon after I bought the service and called for scheduling when I asked them to. They were prompt in their phone responses. That said, the service did not include materials, and the person scheduling the work did not specify the types of grout and caulking to get, saying "any type should work." The workman said there were specific types needed. To his credit, he took the supplies I bought and replaced them as part of the service, at no additional charge. In these days where we see so many firms focusing on superior customer service, Beaty is relatively old-school. Their workman didn't wear booties, so we had to clean the wood floor (it was a frigid and snowy period here, so salt and water were everywhere), and spot clean the carpet. At the end of the job, the workman left without checking with my wife, or showing her the job, or mentioning anything like when it would be dry and usable (I was there at the start of the job, but not the end). He also didn't clean the grout fully from the tiles (you could see a film of residue - it is visible in the photo I will try and post with this review). Worst of all, he dropped a comb into the toilet, clogging it until I snaked it out - thank goodness it was only that and not grout or caulk flushed down the toilet. The firm never called back to check with us. I still don't know if the grout was sealed or not. I have some questions about the time use. Although he knew he was going to steam clean the shower, he left the device (about the size of a duffel bag) in the cold, and it took time to warm the water enough to start the job. I believe he must be the owner, because he was always on his cell to others. While he absolutely was here the three hours that were part of the coupon offer, the amount of grout work he got done was less than I had expected. Finally, there is the work itself. I am not a terribly handy person, but I had made a stab at fixing some cracking grout. I did fill in the grout but my grout lines were far wider than the original grout in the shower. I was expecting a professional to do a better job, but the grout lines done by Beaty were as wide as my own (see photo if it makes it into the posting). The caulking ended up with uneven edges, and I have a residual worry about how they filled-in deeper spots in the shower floor. Right now it is hard to tell if they were given an extra level of caulk on the bottom to prevent the caulk sinking. I think if you are there, and able to constantly check with them and look over their shoulders, they will do fine, and perhaps better than I did with them. They seem to be nice people and I think they are honest and were doing their best, but in this specific case the grouting or caulking at this time seems to be about what I can do in terms of quality.

Did a great job of re-grouting and calking my shower and bathtub! Looks brand new again. Josh was polite and professional. He finished the job in the time allotted and cleaned up completely. I would recommend him to others and I would use his services again.

Joshua finished a door for me and also had time to finish another job for me. Fixed electrical work to a ceiling fan with a light on it. He was very good at what he did, very polite and quick. I would recommend him to anyone and use him again. He is somebody I would love to call again for more work.

I spoke with the scheduler who said they were really busy at the time I purchased the deal, however I did get the work scheduled for this Thursday.

No experience with work quality - miscommunication on what was included and timing.

They came out a week or two before my schedule. He was very friendly. His communication was excellent and I felt comfortable with him in my house.

I believe handymen should cover small painting jobs, especially when he offers painting as a service.

Everything went fine. They were on time and very easy to work with. I will be using them again in the future.

The price was very reasonable I thought. They left a big mess for me to clean up. That was primary. They put in about seven hours of work. There were boot marks on a piano where they had stood.

It was OK. They did a good job on what I hired them to do. While they were here I contracted them for a second job. The big deal was a reasonable price.

Joshua arrived early, went right to work once we did a walk through to describe projects. Joshua completed all tasks with just 10 minutes beyond the allotted time. His work was speedy and carefully prepared. We are favorably impressed with Joshua and expect to continue with him as needs arise, as often they do!

Absolutely great. Joshua Beaty was able to fix the wiring to a floodlight that had stumped a previous handyman. He was great about explaining each task. Joshua arrived on time, is easy to work with, and all tasks were completed in a timely manner.

The company provided me with the list of materials beforehand. Josh and his assistant came right on time.They worked meticulously until they finished the project. Everything went very smoothly.

Responsive and did excellent work. Good deal for the price and I just didn't have time to get to this myself. I would use their service again and I believe they do more than just tile caulk and grout.

Everything went well, I had to go to Home Depot to purchase the necessary items and Josh put a picture of the ceiling fan switch on my cell phone to show to the Home Depot salesman. Josh even spoke to the salesman to clarify what kind of ceiling fan switch to buy. I would definitely use Beatty Home Improvement again. Good Job!!!

Called ahead and showed up on time. Seemed very straight forward with the job on hand and how long it would take him. Got the job done, but did go over the time limit that was purchased. But the job that I hired him for was more time consuming than we bargained for. Pleased with his work and will defiantly consider him again for future projects. He seems to have the a lot of experience on any house project.

The work I had did not take the full three hours, still I felt I got a good value for my money. Mr. Beatty can "draw" a perfect caulk line with his caulk gun without ever touching the caulk with his finger!
