They did excellent work just excellent. Trustworthy, personable and just a total class act. They made sure that I was able to get all the right parts and resolved issues regarding the proper parts with the hardware store. I hired them again and I can't wait for them to do more services on my house. If you are looking for a qualified person who goes the extra mile for you, you foundhim. And his son helped him also and he was a polite and articulate young man. I do wish that punctctionality wise he could have been a little more on a tight schedule but other than that what a great job.

Eric arrived on time. he worked for 4 hours & charged me $215. After he left, the toilet still ran constantly after flushing. The front outside faucet was fixed with a washer. The back faucet , which he exchanged a washer, still had a steady stream of water coming out of it--I could not turn it off. it seemed completely unchanged since he "fixed" it. The hole --he shoved the insulation back up & said it as "in real tight". I called Josh, the owner, & told him the toilet still ran , the back faucet still leaked, & in a day or 2, the insulation fell back out by the hole. I fixed the leaking toilet myself by adding a metal piece to the gizmo over the flapper-it just needed weight to make it stop leaking. sort of a rig job. Shoudn't it be fixed right??Josh sent another guy out to "check on things" The guy, Brian, walked through & looked at everything. Brian was able to shut off the faucet in the back but I cannot turn it off that hard. Brian came back out to fix the unrepaired things on Friday, 8/28, about 2 weeks after the original repairs. Josh told me I would get a "free hour " of labor. Brian was in the back yard for an hour before he went to the hardware store to get the items to fix the faucet & hole. He finished in 2 more hours. The faucet looks nice, & works well, he put a board & new insulation over the hole & it looks very well done. My problem is he overcharged me by $25. Also, I dont think it could have taken a whole hour for him to figure out what to buy & get at the hardware store-so there went my "free hour" of labor. All in all, I paid $475, as Josh is returning $25 overcharge. I was very unhappy because everything could/should have been fixed the first time out. I feel $475 for this entire small fixes is l too much! I am an older single woman & feel taken advantage of. Josh is very nice-however, he himself should have really come out & fixed the things free or almost free plus I'd pay for the parts, as I think 2 more hours of labor is too much. Does this sound like 6 hours of work to you? Had someone competent come out & fixed everything RIGHT the first time, would have may paid for 1 more hour of labor, but not have 2 whole charges like this. The free hour was a joke---it shouldn't take 1 whole hour of looking at a faucet & a hole to figure out what to go buy at the hardware story. Sorry, not happy .Not a bargain at all. Like I said, I feel ripped off & overcharged. Josh offered me another free hour of labor, but I'm afraid that it will just end up being another wasted hour & I'll get ripped off again. he needs to make sure his people are all COMPETENT & ABLETO FIX THINGS!!! Oh,& dont overcharge, either.
Description of Work: I requested to have 2outside faucets fixed, my toilet tank insides redone & a leak fixed, & a hole in my overhang in the back fixed. (a hole where some animals had gotten in & torn away the insulation near the basement. ) Hole was approximately 6 in x 4 in maybe smaller.

The state of this home is flat out nasty. She needed a new toilet. The faucet needed replaced. Eric told me he just wanted to get out of there it was so nasty. I did everything I could to help this person. She was very nice to talk to though. its a shame my rep. has to suffer because her fixture have been neglected for so long. My prices are fare. There are more expensive companies out there.

Our experinece was superb. Joshua, the owner, returned our initial call in a timely manner and had us on the schedule in a few days. The morning of our appointment, Jon Andell arrived promptly and evaluated the list of projects. He was honest, knowledgable, personable and highly successful at accomplishing a lot in a short period of time. We know who to call the next time we need a handyman and will recommend to our friends, neighbors and clients.

Brian and Mason are personable, professional, and thorough. I had NO idea that the gate to my privacy fence needed new hinges. Brian and Mason could have just used what was there but they did not. They went and purchased 3 new hinges even though the gate only had two hinges. They wanted to give the gate more support. Again I would have never thought to install a third hinge. Brian and Mason are hard workers! I have a laundry list of small jobs that still needs to be done And I will ask for Brian and Mason -- by name!!! P.S. They are pet (dog) friendly. My pom, Terra, loves them!!! :)

Mason and Brian had a full afternoon at my house. They started with 2 hours of handyman work and then installed a kitchen faucet. This turned out to be a small feat in itself. But Mason and Brian stayed the course and persevered. This would not be a true review if I did not mention their tardiness. They were an hour late. This was because their previous job ran over. I reminded them that could have called. They readily agreed and apologized; everything went smoothly from there. As I shared in a previous review, I will most definitely hire Beaty Home Improvements in the near future!!!

Initially, I bought the Angie's List handyman deal for 4 hours of handy man work for $199. I received a call from Beaty Home Improvement, who instructed me to cancel my handyman deal with Angie's List, which would allow him to fix my house projects at a better price. So, as instructed, I cancelled the Angies List deal. Initially, there was alot of confusion when this contractor could schedule my house projects. He said the owner was going on vacation, but they would figure out a day to schedule me. Frustrating, since they had to reschedule three times with me!! Finally, after waiting for almost 2 weeks, two contractors from Beatty show up to my house on a Monday. I bought all the materials needed and was looking forward to gettting my projects completed. Monday, late in the day, I get a call from Beaty's contractor, who said he could not finish laying my tile in my kitchen. He said the room wasn't perfectly square and he felt like he couldn't finish the job in a competent way. Why wasn't I told this from the beginning?? So, basically, half of my kitchen tile was laid down but not finished. None of my other jobs were finished, either. Beatty offered to finish the jobs, but I refused their help. I figured if you can't lay floor laminate tile correctly, why should I let you finish the rest of my jobs? So, Beatty left my kitchen tile project left uncompleted and charged me $250 for an incomplete job. I received a call from the owner the next day asking what happened. I explained. He offered to finish the rest of my jobs, but I didn't feel confident having this company finish my projects. He also stated that he wish his employee would of finished my laminate floors..even if it wasn't done correctly. He went on to say, he would rather see the flooring finished incorrectly versus not completing the job. Really? Why would you tell a customer this? Why would I want the job completed, but done incorrectly? I could have done the job myself, but chose to hire someone who knew what they were doing! I would not recommend, and I don't see how they receive an "A" rating on Angies List??

I really feel like you sir a very two faced in your phone conversations with me about the day in question. my employee told you the correct way to lay the floor is to remove the base sense the room was so out of square then you told him not to do that SO THE SUGGESTION WAS THERE YOU SIR DID NOT RECEIVE IT. what i told you on the phone is that i wish my guy would have finished the job the way you wanted it done (after the right way was suggested) just so we didn't leave it so unfinished looking. When i said this to you you said "Ooo its ok im just going to order a full sheet from home depot (which was our suggestion for the beginning. Brian my service provider is more than capable to lay this flooring. he work for a professional flooring company for 4 years laying floor just like that. the problem here sir is your trying to take short cuts.

The owner contacted me and I explained all the details of what needed to be done. Work was scheduled (I had to reschedule once due to being out of town) and the handyman showed up. After the initial assessment, he realized he didnt have the proper tool to complete the job, so we had to resechedule again (after I left work to meet for the appointment). The day before the handyman was to meet to complete the job, I was notified that I would have to pay a "rental fee" for a hammer drill. While I'm aware that the deal I purchased was for "Labor Only" I would expect that the handyman would have any "tools of the trade" at his disposal. This didn't seem to be the case. Realizing that the company was not in possession of basic tools any handyman should have (yes, I confirmed with numerous handymen who I am acquainted with that unfortunately don't live in my area), I decided that I wasn't about to let a company that doesn't have basic tools do any work for me now or in the future. It appears I paid $99 for a learning experience.

ok so where to began, this hammer drill we need is not just a everyday tool. if is was told we needed a hammer drill to start with we would have informed him that we don't own one. its only cost around $36 dollars to rent the machine for the day. not that much.the tool it self is around $800. trust me i can go buy that but its not cheap. If he knew so many handymen that have a drill of that size to drill though concrete. he should have hired them. it seam like he is trying to take advantage of me and my LABOR ONLY COUPON.

Contacted provider directly via Angie's listing a phone number. I explained the disposal in the kitchen sink was damaged, leaking, and in need of replacement. I also explained that the sink cabinet's bottom panel was heavily water-damaged and needed repair. Provider quoted me a price of $90. He made no other mention of rates, fees, or charges. Provider told me he was very busy today, but would make sure he would get the job done that day. Because of the stellar price quote and high Angie's list rating, I decided to choose Beaty Home Improvements. Provider asked me to acquire a suitable new disposal and a piece of plywood for the cabinet bottom. A couple hours later, just after I purchased the materials for the job, provider informed me that he would have to reschedule for tomorrow morning. At that point, I informed provider I had to leave the home for a doctor's appointment by 9:30AM. Provider told me he would arrive at 8AM, and he should have time to complete the job. Provider arrived about 8AM. I produced the new disposal and plywood, and provider began work. The disposal was leaking. So, I placed a large container under the disposal to collect the water. Provider removed the container and began removing the damaged disposal. Provider then asked me for a "towel," in case there was a lot of water. After picking which one of my wife's towels he would certainly ruin, I reluctantly offered him a towel because putrid water all over the kitchen is also a bad thing. Provider then asked for a bottle of water. With the kitchen plumbing disassembled, I managed to give him a cup of water from the refrigerator. After about 40 minutes of working, provider asked me if I had any plumber's putty. I told him I did not. I only purchased the materials he requested. He then said he would have to go and buy some plumber's putty. 45 minutes later, with the kitchen sink disassembled, provider told me he would get back to the job just about 9:30AM (1.5 hours from beginning the job, and my deadline to leave). Provider also chose this moment on the phone to inform me that his $90 price quote only included the first hour of labor, and that he would have to charge me for at least another hour of labor. At this point, the job was less than half done, and the sink was completely unusable. He then asked if I could just leave him a check for the new amount of $150, and leave him inside my home while I went to my appointment. This request put me in a very uncomfortable and awkward position. I still needed the job to be completed, but did not find it at all fair that I had to pay $60/hr extra for labor that would not have been necessary if my provider arrived on site with the proper tools and materials. In fact, if the provider had informed me about the need for other materials at the beginning of the job, I could have retrieved the materials myself, and left the provider on task. I asked the provider if he could return after my appointment, but then he said he would have to charge me even more because of set fee to make a service call. He then inquired if I had purchased an Angie's list coupon (2hrs of labor for $99). I told him I did not, and I just called his service directly for the price quote. I told him I did not think it was fair to charge me for his lack of preparation for the job, or his omission on the necessary materials list. He then made a minor concession and agreed to "knock twenty bucks off for me." Bringing the price from $90 to $90+$60-$20, or $130. At this point, I left the provider to finish the job. I did not feel comfortable haggling price with a person I was going to be forced to trust alone in my home. I told him that I really didn't mind the price, as long as he completed the work discussed in a quality fashion. Before I was able to return, provider called and informed me that he was unable to use one of the plumbing pieces that came with the new disposal, and that he had to use the old plumbing piece (even though it didn't quite fit the correct way). He also informed me that he would not be able to repair the wood damage, or even install the new plywood panel, unless I wanted to pay for more labor. Upon my return, I inspected the work. There was no invoice or receipt. The disposal was installed and operational. The sink basin was freshly scuffed around the drain. There was an unused extra piece of pipe, and the quality of the repair is highly suspect. Provider said, "You may want to keep your eyes on that for a few days." The wood damage remained untouched, except for a great deal more debris on top. The dishwasher was not properly reconnected to the sink plumbing. The towel he borrowed was wet, soiled, and wadded up on my kitchen counter-top. There was a path of dried mud pieces (from his shoes) to and from the door. On a positive note, provider did take the old disposal with him. However, he also took the new disposal's box, instructions (sadly, I still need them), and warranty information. Now, I have a brand new disposal that will likely fail due to a installation defect, and I have no way of registering the 5 year warranty. The work completed by Beaty Home Improvment demonstrated a severe lack of efficiency, professionalism, and value.

Josh worked well with our needs and was extremely patient with us even when our HOA caused a delay in our build. He communicated with her HOA and obtained the city permit for us. The deck tuned out great! He only negative comment I have is that some of his workers were not the most professional. They left a pile of trash and scraps in our yard until the job was done. They also left materials in the grass which caused a large area of our grass to die.

Eric went to work on time. One door was done okay. The second is still a bit long, but is okay. However, with the third door (the back exit door), Eric, had to remove a strip on the bottom. Eric was trying to pry the strip off using a screw driver. In doing so, he put a large scratch in my new wood with his screw driver. There is also a large scratch on the door itself. Eric should have been more careful. He knew the floors were brand new. After scratching the floor, he removed the door and made the fix outside. He left saying he was late for his next appointment. I noticed the big scratches after he was gone. I'm sure he knew the scratches were there but he didn't mention it. I am surprised that the owner or manager hasn't called to offer to repair of the scratched floor and door.

They repaired numerous boards, brackets, and hinges on my wooden fence. While I supplied the wood which was part of the deal, they did supply new brackets that I needed replaced which was crucial to getting my fence properly repaired. I have no complaints
Description of Work: They did exactly what they advertised and a little more for the price advertised. I was very satisfied with the quality of work and the price
