After being putting off for weeks with no follow up by another company I came to Angies list. After reading reviews and comparing offers I found Beaty and decided to give them a shot. I called and the Owner was very polite and fit me into the schedule to come out within days. We were off to a good start and I hoped the men coming would be just as nice and the work be as good as the customer service. I was definitely not disappointed. The two men he sent were so amazing it was actually hard to believe there were still people out there that could provide such amazing and friendly services. They were extremely polite, friendly, and personable. They were there for 4hrs and worked hard the whole time while also making us feel comfortable with them being there the entire time. I could not have wished for a better experience, and with my level of expectations for good service that is saying a lot. I would recommend them to anyone, and will be recommending/bragging to all of my family and friends about their services, and contacting them in the future for additonal help with other projects.

The faucet I purchased had a problem and the gentlemen worked very hard to fix it and complete the install.

I couldn't be more impressed with this company. Joshua and John were responsive, professional, and punctual. In particular I want to commend John. He was here every day on time, worked a solid eight hours and protected my home as if it were his own. The job came out beautifully: removal of an old steel tub and surround and converting it into a walk-in shower. One last thing: John's tile work is insane -- every tile was cut and laid perfectly in a very demanding pattern. I don't think you can go wrong hiring these guys.

Pre-assessment Joshua came to our house (on time as promised), and after assessing the requirements, said would cost $1500. I then mentioned that I was an Angie's list member and there was a coupon for 10% off. The contract I received later was higher in price, so after 10%, still came to $1500. This didn't feel fair to me since I didn't change any requirements, but I let it go. Secondly, Joshua's estimate was 20% higher than several others, but he promised better quality, so I agreed. The Work Framing of walls was excellent. The taping and creating a level 4 finish (to match rest of home) was a big challenge. Joshua had to come back twice to work on the walls and even then I had to pay my painter extra money to fix defects. Joshua was not able to produce a finish that matched the rest of our home even though multiple attempts were made (which we appreciated, but results are what counts)...tape lines are still visible at multiple locations. So, positives: punctuality and framing expertise...negatives: pricing and dry wall finishing. Post Work After this job, we asked if Joshua could frame a half wall for us in the kitchen which is a half day project at most per other estimates we received. He indicated he would charge a full day for labor at $440 but only work for the 2-3 hours needed on the half wall. I indicated we have a number of things to get done in the house since we are paying for a full day. He indicated we would be required to pay for a full day even though the job would take less than a half day...and getting other items done within the 1 day period would not be permitted. They don't have any type of policy that requires a full day payment for only a few hours. Back to the pricing policy, there doesn't seem to be a rationale for the figure provided as we noticed on the first job.

They understood the job and knew what they were doing. They listened and then made suggestions for best location and size of the access hatch. It was appropriate to have two persons on a job of this type. The homeowner needs a good idea of the project to determine the materials that will be needed and have them available for the crew. You provide the materials and they provide the labor. I had to plan what would be needed and purchased the attic insulation, drywall piece for the hatch, trim for the opening, and lumber to frame the opening in the ceiling. It worked well since we had all the materials we needed. It would have been more costly to have the crew go out shopping for supplies while on the clock.

Beaty Improvements came out evaluated the needed repairs and gave their recommendations. We had two other companies give us estimates and their proposal and job estimate was the best. They came on time and finished in three days as promised. We were very pleased with Beaty Improvements.

When I booked the appointment I told the handyman to only do what he could do in the four hours I hired him for, I also asked him what supplies we would need to get before he got there. He showed up on time with another gentleman. At the end of the appointment he told us that we owed him $180 because he had to bring another person because there was no way he could have completed the work by himself. He also said we owed him $70 for supplies. My husband asked him for the supplies they didn't use since we were being charged for them and had to retrieve about 60% of the supplies he charged us for out of this van. The work was mediocre and sloppy in a lot of areas. I would not recommend this provider.

They did a good job. They were late coming in, but they did call. There was traffic or something.

Installation went quick and easy. Had a little issue a week later when the water started flowing with less ease. Made a call and they gave a suggestion right over the phone. And it worked. Will recommend and use again.

Great. Workers were very skilled and professional.

The first guy who came out was pleasant but very inexperienced. He was very slow and didn't even get to the grout. He also didn't clean the mold before recaulking, especially under the shower seat. I called to complain and the first guy and his father came back to clean up under grout and recaulking. Once again very pleasant but still some mold under recaulking lines so had to tear out and try to find someone else who can do that.

I wasn't happy. I tried to call him and he was out of town. He hasn't called me back this week. I was not happy with the job they did. They haven't responded to me since they did the job. They were late getting here. They didn't clean up. They left the film over my tile. They didn't clean the tile when they got done. To me, they didn't finish the job.

It was a bit difficult getting the work scheduled after a few phone calls and messages. They requested to send the pictures and they came out to repair the wood rot in the door frames. Spent $199 for 4 hours but it took them less than 2 hrs to complete so definitely would call directly versus purchasing since you don't get a refund on the hours not used.

Josh Beaty was one of the best (if not the best) contractors I’ve ever worked with. His low pressure style during my bid process ultimately put him on the “short list” of my options for home improvement contractors. From there, his ability and desire to work with me regarding budget really set him apart from the rest. I selected Joshua Beaty’s services to build a large deck. His crew was always prompt, courteous, and professional. They maintained a clean work area all throughout the project. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail really added value to the finished results of my project. The crew was always willing to consult with me and offer recommendations that enhanced the quality and results of my project with little or no impact to budget. I would select Josh and his crew again, and I can truly recommend that you give them an opportunity to earn your business. I’m blessed to have met Josh and selected him to build my deck.

Josh and team took over this install from a contractor that I had to fire and within weeks had taken the job from disaster to completed. They corrected the previous contractors mistakes, and completed the work beautifully. Josh is a great communicator and very calm. He listens well and his whole team is punctual and very polite and professional. They were wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend them to others as well as have them do additional work for me again.

Well the guys were pleasant. It ended up costing us $300 because they said well normally the job would cost $400 and something but with the Angie's List discount it would only be $300. I said to my husband because I was a little disappointed, it didn't seem like they were here that long and they had to leave to go out to Lowe's to get supplies, or I should say one little piece of board. I'd say the board they needed was eleven inches by eighteen or something. They put a little tiny section of a two by four in there and nailed that stuff up and that cost us $300. Then my husband says to them you don't have to paint anything.

Josh did a small bathroom remodel for me after a water leak cause some damage. Josh showed up on time to look at the job and provided an estimate on the spot. The job was started earlier than I expected which is a wonderful surprise. The workers were always pleasant and kind. They installed a new tub/shower surround and new tub/shower fixtures. Dry wall had to be put up and then the paint. I am very satisfied with the job and would recommend this company.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Beaty team. They responded to my request to schedule the appointment within 24 hours. They were easy to schedule. On the day of the work, they called to say they finished their previous job early and asked if they could stop by before our scheduled time. They were punctual and explained everything to me, stating several times that "I treat my home like it's your home." And they did. I highly recommend Beaty and plan to use them again.

Guy was on time. My house does not have siding and some of the wood had rotted. He replaced all the bad wood. It was a very professional job and I would use them again.

They framed in a couple of separate areas in the basement, which included dry walling, trim work, new doors, lots of painting, electrical work, installation of a new toilet and new carpeting on the steps. They were friendly and very reasonably priced. It took 2 weeks (the time estimate was spot-on), but was done with great attention to detail. Workers were professional and very reliable (something I've had bad luck with in the past). They always showed up on time and worked a full day (excellent work ethic!). Josh had some remodeling ideas that we never thought about that we used -- he seems to have a lot of experience and knows what he's doing. We were very impressed. The basement looks great (certainly better than it looked before!). We highly recommend Josh Beaty and his crew. We will be using their services again the next time we need repairs/remodeling in our house!

Fantastic, very pleased with the work done!

They ripped out the old decking, railing, and stairs and replaced it with new composite material. The finished product looks outstanding. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the process. I would use them again and recommend them to others.
