Good work

See my previously written review for some reason it didn?t attach to this job. Dwight and his crew came to our rescue and repaired a large hole in our ceiling where a worker fell through on a recent job. We couldn?t be more pleased with their work, professionalism, and communications with us. Thanks to them we were able to get it done prior to our vacation when no one else would. I highly recommend Dwight and his team. You won?t be sorry you hired them. I know we will be calling them to do additional work for us. RF

Dwight and company were very communicative and easy to schedule with their high level of transparency and cooperation. Upon arriving, the quality of work and detail-orientation were evident and did not disappoint. Any minor imperfections were promptly identified and remedied by the craftsmen, with care and attention at every turn. We can see why they have a stellar reputation, and the work done on our home cemented our opinion that Dwight and his crews are a premier company!

Quality of work was very good on 99% of the job but had four items that needed to be fixed/redone. Made many attempts to contact over several months to get these items done and after many promises that they would come out and then not show up, in the end, I did three myself and they did one...even after admitting they were at fault on all items. Two items were easy fixes on my part, the biggest issue was a leaking door that they installed...Dwight came out, said they would get right on it that week, they no show, then one of his guys came out, fixed a lesser issue in 20 minutes and when I asked why he was not staying to work on the door he said Dwight would call me and that was about the last I heard from them. Dwight never did make another attempt even after I left several messages and texts so I spent more money fixing his mistake. He always said that 'we are not satisfied until you are satisfied' but that did not come true for me.

This company is very personable, Dwight was always available for questions and had quick answers . They removed the old popcorn ceiling and put up a beautiful new one in just two days, amazing. They also painted our walls and cleaned and refurbished our old kitchen cabinets and woodwork . Everyone was very friendly, pleasant, professional and considerate. Everything turned out great and we highly recommend Dwight McGarrah Painting.

Dwight and team were professional, very knowledgeable, and had incredible attention to detail. They were always courteous and answered all my questions. According to my neighbors, the exterior paint job "knocked it out of the park," and they also repaired our deck and its foundation. The process was as pleasant as the final product was perfect. Highly recommend.

We hired Dwight McGarrah Painting to do kitchen cabinet restoration with a new stain color and a new satin finish. They completed the project and the color matched exactly what I wanted. They also painted our woodwork and removed our popcorn ceiling and replaced it with a knockdown ceiling finish. They were always on the job site at the time they said they would arrive and they spent a lot of time covering adjacent surfaces and prepping the areas to be either stained or painted. They also did a good job cleaning up each day and at the end of the project. I highly recommend their services.

I need to go on public record and retract my previous review of Dwight McGarrah and his performance and more importantly his professionalism and integrity. I rushed to judgement in not remembering some of the situations we all have been placed under during this pandemic and once Dwight and I reconnected I came away TOTALLY comfortable and relieved that we are working with Dwight. As I said even with my negative comments Dwight?s team performed wonderfully and their work is of the highest quality. Please be assured that you can trust Dwight with your project and his team. Dwight and his crew did a phenomenal job painting the interior and trim of our house. The inside of our house looks brand new thanks to their hard work. Dwight and team also touched up our kitchen cabinets as well as repaired some ceiling damage in our garage. Overall we are extremely satisfied with their work and would definitely recommend them to others.

Our neighbors recommended Dwight McGarrah's painting company because he did an excellent job painting their dark wood kitchen cabinets, producing a bright, modern white decor. Dwight and his 4-man crew did a lot more than paint for us. We also needed ceiling repairs at 4 places in the kitchen & hearth room where speakers had been removed and poorly patched. They knew how to repair, re-plaster (with the needed knock-down effect) and repainted the entire ceiling. The crew took a full day to mask all the areas to be protected, from crown molding to base boards, appliances and light fixtures. They taped down heavy duty prot4ective floor coverings. Back to kitchen cabinets. We wanted the cabinets to be spray painted, not brushed or rolled. Our double garage was converted into a spraying area, completely sealed. A corridor from the kitchen, through the laundry room and into the garage was sealed and protected for easy access and movement. We highly recommend the spraying method. At first we were only going to do drawer and cabinet door faces and the exterior of the cabinet boxes. Once we removed all the cabinet contents, it was obvious all the insides and drawer interiors could use a coat of paint. The crew adjusted, handled it all exceptionally well. We also changed out about 80 old double dismount cabinet hinges and installed new ones to match the existing pulls. Start to finish, the project took 4 full days of taping, masking and careful preparation, removing doors and drawers, sanding and repairing dings and cracks, caulking and repairing some drawers, then a coat of primer. Finally, a beautiful semi-gloss enamel oil base paint to match the existing crown and base trim color....the completed project makes the whole kitchen look new! Lastly, more good news: After everything was done and the crew departed...we noticed a few pin hole marks on the inside of a couple cabinet doors....probably because of some floaters in the garage during spraying primer or the finish coat. called Dwight to discuss....he came by the house later that day, look a quick look and had the entire crew back the next morning to fix the small blemishes. Nothing serious, but Dwight tells everyone that the job is not done until the customer is totally satisfied. He means it. His work and his word are both outstanding. Highly recommend.

We hired Dwight and his team to repair wood rot and paint the exterior of our house. He gave us a quote that day that was very reasonable. He showed up the day he told us he would and completed the project a day early. They cleaned up every day and kept things nice and neat. I would use again for our painting needs.

Always difficult to be confident when you are looking for companies to do work on your house. You can be 100% confident in Dwight and his team. We were referred by our in-laws after McGarrah painting painted their house a few years ago, and we are thankful. Dwight did a meticulous inspection with me on our paint as well as some rot in a couple of exterior boards and on our deck. Dwight was extremely detail-oriented, and upfront about the different options. He gave some good feedback on color choice and some other details. The team was outstanding. He was there every day inspecting work and making sure we were satisfied. His estimate was in the middle between lowest and highest, but we would recommend his team (and following his recommendations) with complete confidence.

We hired Dwight to remove our drop ceilings in our finished basement. His team removed them, got all loose cables secured and painted it along with the existing bedroomâ s ceiling. They also installed 15 new can lights in the ceiling. They painted our fireplace, all walls in our main room along with the bathroom and an office. They found some black mold and removed it, replaced the dry wall and baseboards. All our furniture and carpeting was protected nicely. Every day when they left they would sweep up any debris and roll up their drop cloth. They are a great group of professionals to work with.

Great experience!!! We hired McGarrah Painting to refinish our lower kitchen cabinets and Island. The sun had taken it's toll on the south side of the island. We had water stains on the drawer and cabinets below the sinks and obvious damage on the cabinet doors below the stove. They cleaned and prepped the lower cabinets including light sanding as required. They touched up the sanded areas with stain and applied lacquer seal to match the upper cabinets. Dwights team protected all surfaces adjacent to the work area including cabinets they were not working on, countertop, flooring and home furnishings. They encapsulated the kitchen area to the garage for the duration of the work. We are very happy with the results. Dwight was very professional and would highly recommend.

Dwight and team did an excellent job. We had them fix some wood rot and replace a few doors. Highlights:: Great communication, very knowledgeable, pricing was fair with no change orders, explained in detail what they were going to do, and job site was cleaned up after they finished. We hired McGarrah Painting for our new home that had wood trim and doors throughout. We had them transform our home by refinishing and painting the entire interior trim and a few rooms. It was a huge undertaking and many contractors that we got bids from looked at the job and either were too scared to take it on or could not handle a job of this magnitude. We even had one that was a little cheaper but was planning to cut corners and ultimately could not deliver the quality we needed. We were extremely satisfied with our decision to choose McGarrah because they delivered results beyond our dreams and paid very close attention to detail that we know other contractors would have missed. Dwight and his crew were professional, prompt, and very accommodating. He gave us a time frame for completion and was able to complete the job a little early which allowed us to move in on schedule. Any crew that can deal with my level of perfection is a win and they went above and beyond to ensure that we were completely satisfied with the end result. Dwight and his team were very dependable; they arrived at the the time they said they would, worked from 8-5 each day, and followed through with detailed specifics of the project. They resurfaced walls and painted bedrooms and bathrooms, including trim and vanities. Dwight and his team went above and beyond to ensure the project was completed in a quality manner, from initially covering all floors from Entey to work destination, to attending to aspects such as new windows needing painted that werenâ t originally part of the project. Dwight made sure the project was done correctly and checked with us more than once to make sure we were pleased with the progress and final result. When inquiring about a couple of small runs in the trim paint, I found that Dwight and Raul (the team member in charge), hod already discussed the matter and had a plan to address it. I felt respected, heard and understood throughout the process. You will be happy if you hire McGarrah Painting!

McGarrah did an outstanding job. They did exactly what they agreed to do. They painted my basement and main level. The paint is high quality and looks spectacular. The employees who worked my project were careful, respectful and highly skilled. They even vacuumed before they left and helped me move furniture! Dwight who is the owner was at the job daily to ensure the project was perfect. I also felt McGarrah was competitive in price compared to other quotes I received. I will hire them again for my next project. Highly recommend.

Dwight and his team did a fantastic job with our interior paint job! We were in a time crunch and Dwight was able to fit us in. Jeff and the guys were careful with my new wood floors and carpets, helped me correct a bad color choice I made, and did some enamel paint work on a window. I’m so happy with the work they did!

Dwight was very prompt to follow up on my request for a quote. I had initially contacted him to replace doors that another company wouldn't handle. We had him bid on our entire project and selected him. We had wood rot replaced, the external painted and some internal touch ups as well. He has a wonderful team and they did a great job. The cost was higher than a competing quote, but Dwight's focus on superior quality and our satisfaction won us over. I would consider him for other projects.
