Dwight and his team were great to work with and did the job in the time frame agreed upon and the workmanship was excellent.

Dwight McGarrah and his crew fixed long-festering wood rot in several places along the front of my house, painted the front of my house, and installed a new railing on my front steps. Frankly, my house now looks as good as it has ever looked, almost like new. Dwight is easy to work with, is experienced, is knowledgeable, and as a professional has high standards for himself and his team. Highly recommended.

Dwight and crew responded quickly and completed the repairs in one day. The quality of workmanship was high and I am pleased and relieved to have the front of the house well sealed. It was not possible to determine the extent of the work that was needed until some boards were removed, but I should have had a written estimate in advance. The work was good but I had sticker shock when presented with the bill that was more than twice what I expected. I blame myself for this, not Dwight who I thought was great to deal with. In any event the repair was done well and looks great.

I had a lot of wood rot under windows and various other locations around the house. I was skeptical that it could be repaired to my satisfaction, but the McGarrah team did an amazing job. They also did a beautiful job of painting. Every crack and joint was caulked until the final outcome was beautiful, and beyond my expectations.

They did a perfect job of patching a gaping hole in our ceiling. They then did a beautiful job of removing the popcorn ceiling that we hated and installing a knockdown texture instead. The painting was then great too! Highly recommend!

They painted using oil base paint and they were meticulous and there was no mess. They did a professional, beautiful job.

Removed popcorn from ceilings, patched and painted. Very thorough, even painter the can lights. They did so well, we had them paint several interior rooms as well. Dwight had excellent communication and aside from an initial deposit on the first day, did not request payment until after the job was completed to our satisfaction. This included the extra painting we asked for after our initial project was done. We definitely plan to use McGarrah Painting again in the future.

They removed a popcorn ceiling and replaced it with a knockdown ceiling. Dwight was extremely efficient, very good at communicating about the status of the project at every step, and the quality of his workmanship is great!

We can't say enough good things about Dwight & his crew. From his prompt response to our bid request and throughout the project they were professional, on time and thorough. They did a complete renovation of our walls & woodwork & replaced popcorn ceilings with knockdown finish. All of the floors & furniture were totally covered and protected prior to starting and they vacuumed and mopped upon completion. Dwight went the extra mile to make sure everything was right and it looks great. Would definitely recommend them.

I was very pleased with their work, not only did they put things back they did extra for me. I recommend their company to anyone. They were very thorough and quick to get the job done and I appreciated their service.

I have waited several months in the hope of not writing this review but it is apparent now that this company is not going to follow through with its contract. After researching several painting companies, we decided to go with McGarras Painting. His original bid came in at $8k more than any of the other companies but he did come down enough that made us feel like the extra money was worth it. We trusted him. First payment - 1/3 of the contract was paid and the work began. The kitchen cabinets and bar cabinets were stained and looked great- 2nd of 3 contractual payments made. The painting was in process and not completed but the owner asked for part of the final payment and against better judgment wrote him another check. I trusted him. The painting was done except for the front door and touch-up to fix things missed. Dwight wanted to wait on doing the front door until we had had several days of warmer weather and wanted to wait on touching up the issues we found when doing a walk-through until floors, tile work, appliances, and final lighting were done. But he still wanted the balance of the final payment. Again, against better judgment we trusted him and he was paid in full and he promised us that the work would be done. All the flooring, tile, and appliance installation was completed in December 2022. We asked Dwight to have his crew come back in and finish up the touch-up issues discovered on the walkthrough. He told us the house had to be cleaned, make sure all dust was off the walls and he would get his crew in to do the touch-up. He could schedule the touch up but we had to scramble and hire a cleaning team to come in on short notice which cost us $500 we were ready the next day he told us they would be there. They did not show, no call. My husband left messages both by voice and text. Dwight would not return calls. We received our temporary occupancy permit on 12/29/22 and started moving in. Continued to try to get Dwight to send his crew over to finish up the touch up. Finally, the painter that runs the crew showed up. We had marked everything that needed touch-up with blue tape as instructed by Dwight plus we had a list written up. Several places on walls needed to be sanded ( when you can see it first thing, then yes it needs to be fixed). None of the tape on windows and doors they had put up needed to be removed, back wall in the pantry needed to be painted- just because you thought it should be tiled does not mean that is what we were going to do, doors and trim touch up. All he did was walk around cussing under his breath and then called Dwight to complain about our issues. Keep in mind these are the same issues that Dwight acknowledged would be fixed right before I handed him the final payment. He fixed a few things and said he would be back the next day. He did not show up. After at least a dozen messages from Dwight saying he would complete the work paid for, still nothing. Touch up and the front door is still not done. He continues to tell us he will be here and continues to not show. It is so disappointing to trust someone and have them not follow through with promises. If you do hire his company to do work, make sure work is completed to your satisfaction before final payment because he is not true to his word to finish what he was paid for. We have ended up doing many of the things he was contracted to do like rehanging the interior doors that were taken down and painted by his company. We have touched up a few places like our pantry backsplash. All we ever asked for was for the job to be completed. I have pictures of their work available and happy to share them.

Dwight did a great job of communicating and job was scheduled and completed promptly. Work areas were well protected and crew cleaned up the area afterward almost to the point that you could not tell that drywall work had been done. It's hard to completely contain drywall sanding dust but they did about as well as it can be done. Will hire this crew again
