I got on home advisor on computer and Farage Tree & Stump Removal was calling me. They did the job next day and was cheaper than other estimates. They did excellent job would recommend highly. Also will use Home Advisor again.

Overpriced and underachieving - used HomeAdvisor (which I will not do again) to recommend Farage to remove a stump. One week after the promise of an estimate and schedule, the second call to them did get a response. The second call was prompted as a replacement tree from another company was now a week away. The estimate of $60 seemed a little high considering previous stump removal and size of the stump to be moved, but I agreed as time was getting short. The day after the second call, he arrived to remove the stump. My wife advised him that the hole was not deep enough and that roots were desired to be removed deeper. He disagreed, stating that if the tree company determined the hole was too shallow, he would come back out. Two days later, the tree company arrived and almost laughed, indicating that was not near deep enough and roots were present which would not allow the new tree to survive and void the warranty. The tree planter indicated a hole 30" dia x 24" deep would be required for that size of tree and he then cancelled the tree planting date. I called Farage to have him back out and she indicated he would be out the next time he was in the neighborhood. Two subsequent messages with no repsonse. I then spent 4 hours digging and removing roots my a spade and chainsaw. Needless to say Farage will never set foot in my yard again. They have a good business model - do the least possible, charge the most possible, and at their convenience, with total lack of communication. Also, if your tree planting schedule is less than 30 days and dependent on them - expect to be disappointed. They are good on safety, after the second empty promise to return, the utility marking people had to repeat their efforts - Farage even wasted their time, too!

Highly recommend this company. Chris, the owner, was on site and did take down one tree. It was about 10 inches in diameter and I told him just get it on the ground and I would cut it up. Instead he cut it into about 16 inch pieces as he worked his way to the ground. He did not have to do that but went out of his way to do so. The crew was fast, efficient, careful, and friendly. I highly recommend Farage Tree and will use them again is a few months.

They explained what needed to be done and why. Showed up right on time and finished quickly and neatly. I probably will hire again soon.

Excellent job they did. After a review of the work to be done, the crew came by and took down all of the storm damage and even discovered some good limbs in bad places that were abrading my new roof tiles and removed them. That's the kind of work a professional arborist does. Cleanup was done right and the price was an excellent value.

They did excellent work removing large overhanging limb and deadwood from large oak. Cleanup was very good and they had a large crew. I asked to be called before they arrived. That did not happen. The first crew showed on Monday late afternoon and did no work, to large for that late. Talked to owner and Wednesday another crew showed. So they could have done better on Customer Service, but the actual work was excellent.

Did and excellent job removing large limb and dead wood from a very large oak. The cleanup was very good and they had a large crew. They showed up without calling me on Monday. I requested they do so. It was late in the afternoon and the crew said it was too big for that late. I talked to the owner and he had another crew come on Wednesday. Other than not calling me, I am pleased.

It took them several weeks to fit me in to their schedule, but once they did, they did a good job and cleaned up after.
