WARNING!!!!! STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!!! I am currently in a several disputes with my credit card company over charges from Lawn Pro (Service PRO). They are more than happy to charge your card, even after cancelling your service, plus charge for services NOT rendered. However, they do not answer email inquiries or phone calls. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a lawn company.... hands down. Now they have charged me AGAIN after cancelling. I'm going to have to open another dispute (#3) with my credit card.
Description of Work: They were suppose to do this: 7 visits of Weed control / FertilizerGrub / LimeAeration Over-seeding in the fall includedNutsedge treated as neededService calls available upon requestFungicide treated as needed ( will make sure to overspray by the neighbors)Flea / Tick Insect Spray (making sure to cover back area by where cat goes) They might have actually done one application, but didn't do ANY of the rest of what i paid for.. I had this service for two years. The first year started ok but the quality went downhill fast (but they still charged me). The second year they charged me for the services, but never came to the house. In June I had an unauthorized charge on my credit card for $175.00. I called and left messages and sent emails but never received a response. I cancelled the service immediately. It is now November and they still charge me monthly even though the service is cancelled (which I dispute every month with the credit card company). I have contacted the BBB as well and I will be seeking other legal remedy for the ongoing charges to my account without service being provided and after the service has been terminated.

Initially I was told to pay $30 a month and not more for their services. I was a member for the provider for about 6 months but the service performed was not satisfactory. I called them saying that my grass does not look good and to not take out any more money from my account. They took out unauthorized charges even after I advised them that I wouldn't want their services anymore. The company would also call a couple times during the month saying that I needed more services done and that they would charge me extra for them. The representative I dealt with was extremely rude and also suggested that if I got these extra services that the grass would look better but it was unnecessary. They would not let us know when they would arrive to start on work as well.
Description of Work: Unauthorized charge on my account and advising of extra services when the company would say it was a set price per month and no more to pay.

After being with the company for 4 years, I had an unauthorized charge of $196 on my account this morning. When I called and spoke to an manager named George, he informed me that they had been treating my landscaping for the last two years and didn't charge me for it. The charge on my account was to pay for the service for this year. When I asked him to cancel the treatment of the landscaping and refund the money, I was threatened by him that he would then charge me the $392 for the previous two years. There was no written contract and I was told that I verbally agreed to it. This is seems odd that he would remember me verbally agreeing to this service since I have never spoken to anybody named George. Previously I had worked with a guy named Jeff. I was given a discount on my services because they accidentally killed a 6 by 6ft area of grass in my front yard. According to George it wasn't a discount, it was a mistake which I now have to pay for. I've never experienced such awful customer service as being threatened to be charged an additional $400 if I cancelled my account. He refused to refund the $196 that was unauthorized and I had to file a complaint with my bank who will be investigating. I also have to file a complaint with the BBB.

The monthly payments started in December 2013. By November 2014, only 3 applications were put down - fertilize on April 14, weed control on May 23, and weed control on July 3. Aeration was requested (at the initial agreement) for late August or the very first of September - after numerous phone calls to the company and excuses by them for the delay, aeration was completed on October 20 which was too late for any seeding (soil temperature and leaves falling) so I declined the over-seeding. I tried to cancel in early November but the charges kept occurring through January 2015 (14 payments). Most phone calls to the company resulted in having to leave messages and no calls were returned to me until I sounded exasperated on future messages. The most recent call to me by a company rep (January 19, 2015) was to explain that the monthly fees are from January through the following January (13 payments - not 12) and that the December 2013 payment was a start-up fee (no mention of that when I agreed to the service). The company denied that I only had 3 treatments and stated that they provided six (I kept thorough records of treatments; they stated an e-mail would be sent after each treatment explaining what was provided but I only received 2; and their practice was to post a sign on the lawn after each treatment but only 3 signs were posted). I suspect the "Lawn Pro" on Angie's List is not the same company based on the phone number. The company I dealt with has a 942 exchange in the 636 area code. Beware of any calls from this company calling from 636-942-2400, 4000 or 7032 and do not do business with them. The company is misleading and dishonest.
Description of Work: Lawn Pro is part of www.serviceproco.com which includes turf management/treatment as well as lawn irrigation and other services. I was contacted by phone for turf management which I eventually agreed to have after several conversations. Six applications were promised as well as aeration and over-seeding for 12 monthly credit card installments of $28 each.

Description of Work: Received a sales call from lawn pro (8/19/2014 @ 12:47 pm). When I stated that we are on no call list, person Asked to speak to husband. When I asked why, his answer was "I want to give him a good price on [services]". Call was from phone number 636- 942-7046.

Sales pitch was great but they did not live up to promises. Aeration and over seed was subpar last fall. Stuck with them and gave them a chance with the fertilization service and have been less than impressed. They have made over twice as many sales calls than they have applications of fertilizer. To explain it simply, my lawn looks worse now than it did when I hired them a year ago.

Just to update my completely unsatisfactory experience with LawnPro, I just received an update from the Better Business Bureau. BBB contacted LawnPro about this complaint twice, each time giving the company two weeks to reply. LawnPro didn't even make an effort to reply to the BBB, much less discuss the complaint and give me the refund that their manager had promised me. I WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
Description of Work: My experience with Lawn Pro (formerly called Greenprint Lawn Care) started with a misunderstanding. I had researched lawn-care companies on Angie's List and had selected one that I planned to contact. Coincidentally, a Lawn Pro salesman called the next day and their name was so similar to the company I had selected that I thought 'Great! What a nice coincidence!' We settled on a price for this season's lawn care and I gave them my credit card information. I realized my mistake within a couple of days and checked out Lawn Pro on the Better Business Bureau site. Their grade was 'F' and the list of complaints was extremely long and covered a range of areas: quality of service, reliability, billing problems. I called the company and asked that my money be returned. (No services had been performed.) The person I talked to was belligerent. I asked to speak to his supervisor, was told that he wasn't there, and left a message asking that he call. My call was not returned. After several days, I called again and left a voice mail for the manager. Again, my call was not returned. I went to the website and tried the approach of their 'Contact Us' functionality. That did finally elicit a phone call. I talked to the manager and he told me that there had been all sorts of BBB complaints, but they were now under new ownership and he was working hard to get all of those complaints taken care of. I told him I already had an issue with their customer service (rude and non-responsive) and I still wanted my money refunded. He gave me the name and phone number of a person at BBB that he had been working with and suggested that I call to get a better feeling for the direction the new ownership was taking the company in. He said if I still wanted my money back after talking to the BBB, he would give me a refund. After talking to the BBB, finding out when the new management took over and comparing that with the dates of complaints that were either new or still open, I decided I didn't want to deal with Lawn Pro. The BBB contact told me to open a complaint if I didn't receive the refund within a reasonable amount of time. I called Lawn Pro and asked for a refund. The manager said it would take about a month. After waiting 6 weeks, I called and the manager was rude and uncooperative. The next day I opened a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am awaiting a resolution. |

I have a very small postage stamp sized lawn that is very easy to do. I don't think it's worthy of high praise, they just did an average job.

I have been working with Mr. Erlinger and Lawn Pro for the past 15 years. The work is always done well. They are willing to do extra jobs whenever I have requested it, such as trimming trees and shrubs. They have also brought in and spread mulch for me.
Description of Work: Lawn service cuts and trims lawn weekly during summer months as needed. They will also trim shrubs and trees.
