Great experience.

I hired Doug Williams on the recommendation of one of Angie's List top rated painters, who would not be able to do my job within my tight time frame. Doug was able to fit me in in a timely manner, and I could not be more pleased with the quality of his work. Doug is meticulous not only in his painting, but in his cleanup as well. His drywall repair was superb; he was able to repair a very poor repair made by someone else, even though I didn't think it would be possible without replacing the drywall. Doug worked continuously, and was patient with me as I kept giving him "just one more thing". Doug brought another painter, Adam for one day, and he also did a great job on my doors and trim. I am putting my house on the market next week, and I called Doug again to finish some last minute painting. Douglas Painiing will be the first call I make when I need painting in the future.

I am exceptionally pleased with Douglas Painting. I selected this contractor due to his good reviews on Angie's List as well as the comments regarding his willingness to work within a budget. Doug was amiable, punctual, professional, and extremely flexible with the work to be performed. True to the other reviews, he worked with me to keep the painting and repairs down to a single day for budgetary reasons. The stairwell and hall look crisp and clean now. Doug was a wizard with the original paint left by the builder. He was able to match the ceiling and original wall paint, and he and his assistant, Bob, transformed all four of our walk-in closets from being dinged and having exposed patches from nail holes to looking brand new. He also saved me the hassle of re-painting the laundry room (which went from looking as if someone had tossed around the dryer and washer into every wall at multiple heights to looking just as it did when it was first built). His hard work to match the ceiling paint helped avoid having to re-paint ceilings throughout the townhouse where the renters had damaged it and where nail pops had naturally occurred (saving time, and therefore, me money for the hourly rate). I had just had the carpets steam cleaned the day before the painting was performed, and throughout the time Doug and Bob were working, they both were extremely careful to cover the carpet. The carpet was as clean after they had finished as it was before they began. Doug was honest, straightforward, meticulous, and conscientious. Doug's assistant, Bob, was also polite and conscientious. They arrived on-time, completed the work for me under-budget, and cleaned-up without creating any new messes. I have already begun recommending Douglas Painting to family and friends.

My experience with Douglas Painting from beginning to end was absolutely wonderful. Doug arrived exactly on time to give an initial estimate. He spent time going over everything I wanted done, gave suggestions, was extremely helpful and polite, and was obviously knowledgable and experienced. For the 3 1/2 days he was there, he arrived exactly on time each day, and worked for 8 hours. Both Doug and the other painter who worked at my house were completely professional and courteous. Each day, they cleaned up before leaving, never leaving a mess behind. They went above and beyond in the job, giving helpful suggestions and advice along the way, and always making sure I was satisfied with their work. I have a front door that was scratched and damaged from one of my dogs and Doug made it look brand new. Best of all, they did a beautiful job painting!!! My bathrooms, walls, doors and trim look amazing. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my experience with Douglas Painting. I am TOTALLY happy with their work and would hire them again in an instant. I HIGHLY recommend Doug and his crew for any painting jobs you need!

Doug painted almost the entire interior (inc. doors and trim) about 4 years ago. He can make a bad drywall job look great! He and his team are always prompt, professional, and they do nice work. They came yesterday and fixed dings, holes, and cracks, caulked and re-painted baseboards, re-painted window sills, and painted some new doors. I've renovated 3 houses and find Doug's prices fair and competitive, especially given that he shows up when he says he will and his team is fast!

It was outstanding. Doug came recommended by another top-rated Angie's List painter who no longer does spray jobs (these are very meticulous). Doug answered my call on my first attempt, came the same or next day to provide an estimate, then he and his assistant completed the job in the most professional manner possible. First, they were punctual. They came prepared with everything they needed to do the job and used drop cloths to protect my floors, and used tape and plastic to cover the areas that were not to be painted. When the plastic was removed those areas were pristine. He also removed towel bars, vent covers, and light fixtures to ensure they would not be painted. He taped all door hardware, light switches and outlets where plates could not be removed. They completed the work in the estimated time period and below the estimate. They are absolute pros, nice guys, and I would use them again. Doug was also considerate of my budget and made suggestions to make the project more cost effective for me.
