they were on time and very professional and friendly. They answered any questions and also pointed out problems tht had not been mention before by other chimeny sweeps.

Service was thourough and professionally done. We have used this company before for duct cleaning and have received quality service both times. I had to reschedule last minute on the first appointment for the chimney cleaning, due to a family emergency -- they were very kind, understanding and accommodating. I will definitely use Absolute in the future.

The gentleman that came out was very nice and friendly. The problem was that he could not fix our damper. I asked him what I should do since I have to get it fixed. He suggested that I should "call a professional". I thought you were professionals! I had to pay another company to come out and fix the problem. Was out $125 and time wasted for nothing.

There were no additional charges to the big deal. Their work was very good. We would use them again in the future.

They cleaned the chimney from the inside, did not get on the roof to inspect chimney cap. Tried to sell me on unnecessary patching of firebrick inside a metal prefab firebox. I didn't feel like the chimney was inspected as part of the cleaning.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it turned out really well. Actually the first day when he came out, he had some issues with his machine. So he had to reschedule the next day. He came out the next day, finished the cleaning and then whenever it was over. He ended up giving me a discount on the service that he provided because of some technical problems. He was really professional and really courteous. He was good.

The boys from Absolute Clean came to my house and proceeded to clean and inspect my fireplace and flue. The inspection of my fireplace revealed a crack in the fireplace lining. They were able to apply some sort of sealant that apparently prevents any damage to the entire unit. My fireplace has been working steadily this fall/winter, and it seems to be in fine shape. I would definitely use this service in the future.

Finally got to use it after 2 years!!

The contractor did not show up for the scheduled appointment and did not call. My brother drove a considerable distance to meet him, only to be stood up. Very unprofessional and very disappointing.

Cleaned chimney. On time, professional, got the job done, didn't leave a mess. Would definitely use them again.

Showed up on time. Did the work efficiently and quickly. Explained what needed to be done for our chimney to be safer. Offered to do the work for us, but showed us what to do if we wanted to do the work ourselves.

Cleaned chimney, did some minor repairs and gave recommendations for improvements to our fireplace and chimney.

They cleaned the chimney and checked the dryer vent. Did not spend a lot of time, but apparently the chimney was not very dirty. Okay crew.

He was very honest with me in telling me I don't need to get this kind of chimney cleaned. I really appreciated his honesty and now I feel as if they are a reputable company.

I was not impressed. Two young men arrived and introduced themselves and I showed them the way to the fireplace. They immediately started bringing in their equipment with no concern for the dirt they were bringing into my home or creating through their work. They placed a filthy tarp down in front of the fireplace but that was the extent of it. They used no shoe covers or attempted to wipe their shoes as they went in and out. After cleaning they informed me that I had some mortar "popping" out and wanted $40 dollars to repair it. Told me that they had mortar in a caulk gun and would use it for the repair. I asked them to show me exactly what needed repair and they demonstrated a few areas of the fire box using only a small penlight. I then asked about the mortar condition further up inside and he attempted to point the small flashlight up,the chimney and told me it was probably ok. This left me with little confidence. I agreed to let them repair the areas that they identified but after observing them as they applied the mortar caulk I was not pleased. He first apologized that he had no black or gray but only tan. Then I watched as he struggled to squeeze the last remains from his caulk tube onto his hands and applied to the area. He then proceeded to walk across my family room with his hands full of caulk and into my kitchen and wash his hands at my kitchen sink. He did not have a rag or paper towel or any means to deal with his mess. I followed him to my sink and grabbed some paper towels and handed them to him. He made no attempt to clean up or rinse his grime down the sink. Finally as he removed his dirty tarp from my floor he left behind everything that was on it and I was left to clean up the soot. I regret allowing them to do the work and would not recommend them.

I purchased an Angie's List big deal for chimney sweeping and dryer vent inspection. The crew arrived exactly on time, finished quickly, and pointed out some minor issues with my chimney and dryer vent, and explained how to fix those issues myself.

The company did an excellent job. They inspected and cleaned the chimney and installed a new chimney cap.

This was purchased as a gift for my daughter. They didn't show up at the original appointment time (1pm on 11/26), nor did they call. After leaving numerous messages and contacting Angie's List to try to find out what was going on, they did call on the 27th and said they would be right out. When they arrived, the guy looked up the chimney with a flashlight and said the chimney did not need cleaning and to request a refund. Then, someone called today (11/28) and asked if they could set up an appointment! Frankly, I don't trust them to service my daughters chimney.

Made an appt to have 2 chimneys cleaned & inspected. They did one and when inspecting the second said it didn't need cleaning & was ready for use. When we used the chimney they didn't clean in the basement the whole place filled with smoke. So I called them and they aplogized profusely, came out the very next day, inspected it again and was ready to clean out & fix anything wrong. As it turned out it was our fault because we hadn't placed the grate of logs far enough back for the smoke to go up the flu. So I kinda felt like an idiot, but they were REALLY nice about it and didn't even charge me anything for all their trouble. In fact, after I called and told them that the place filled up with smoke after their first inspection not only was the receptionist apologetic and scheduled someone to come out the very next day, the person who came out was one of the owners and the other owner called me to apologize personally and say that they would fix whatever it was free of charge! Unfortunately, they can't fix stupid, but they did show me what was done wrong that caused the problem so I can make sure it doesn't happen again. Paul was very nice, understanding, and even gave me advice on the firewood. The wood we were using was very sappy and could do damage to the chimney. Such great people! I would highly recommend them to anyone needing any of the services they provide! Thanks so much to all of you at Absolute Clean!

It was fine. They came in and did the job and it worked out perfectly. The price I spent was nothing like it was advertised, not what they claimed on the Angie’s List. It was an okay experience. I know for a fact the guy didn’t clean one area. I would recommend them. They were prompt. They have a special going on when I called them.

It was good. They did a good job and did what we expected from them. The people were professional.

I'm glad I have this service. Besides cleaning they also checked for cracks. I will use them again

I am SO impressed with this company because they came to perform the service I bought on Angie's List "Big Deal" and were honest and said that our chimney was already clean and that we didn't need to use the service at the current time. The fact that they were honest says so much to me about this company that I will definitely use them in the future when our chimney needs a sweep.

The service was good, they let me know that I have a good fireplace and gave it a sweep. I would use them again.

I purchased the $109 special on Angie's list. I have two fireplaces instead of one, and gave them that information. Trying to speak with someone on the phone was incredibly difficult. It sounds like they are using a cell phone with poor reception. The lady on the phone isn't what I would describe as professional. She almost seems bothered by the need to have a conversation with a customer. I waited 3 weeks for an appointment because they only come to Illinois once a month. They arrived 30 minutes late and did not call. Two men came into the house. One of them said he was the owner. They looked at the fireplace and said it looked brand new except for a few spider webs. He did take time to show me how to get the fireplace turned on. (It's a gas fireplace.) We then went downstairs to look at that fireplace. He said it was also new and had a few more spider webs than the other one, but it was fine. They did not turn that one on, just told me it would work like the upstairs fireplace. On our way upstairs, I was told I owed them $40 for the second fireplace and that I was really getting a deal as they should charge me another $109. They didn't do anything.....not even sweep out the spider webs. I tried lighting the downstairs fireplace this morning, and can't get it to light. The coupon was supposed to include a dryer vent inspection. He said that would be another $80. He did offer to come back next year and check both fireplaces for the same price as this year. The were in my house all of 15 minutes. I received a call from the lady that schedules appointments two hours after they left. She wanted to know if they had been here. Overall, I did not feel comfortable with these men in my home. I feel conned out of the $40 extra I had to pay for the 2nd fireplace that doesn't work. I feel conned out of the money I paid for the coupon deal because they didn't do the dryer vent inspection and they didn't clean the chimney. I won't call them back to take care of any of it because I really don't feel good about having them in my home.
