I had to go back yesterday, because there was a small issue from 6 weeks ago. I was minor but thats what they get a 'B' instead of an 'A'
Description of Work: I had a died laptop that they pulled out the hard drive and downloaded my information from the hard drive from.

We had originally gone to a Sprint Store but were having problems getting the phone upgrade I wanted and still keeping my current phone plan. While I was at Sprint, someone heard my story and suggested I do my upgrade at Best Buy. I had never thought of that. My son and I (it was his phone we were upgrading), went to Best Buy and immediately got service (wait at Sprint was 45 min), got the phone we wanted to upgrade to for $100 less than Sprint was offering and got to keep my plan the same as it was. This was perfect! The portion of Best Buy for cell phones was run very well. The people were knowledgeable and the service was quick and efficient. The upgrade phone prices were much better.

They were very honest. I was told that they could send my laptop off for repair with a nonrefundable deposit of $248.00. They informed me even if they could not fix the laptop that they would keep the deposit and that they decided that it would end up costing me more money in the long run. I took their advice and will be buying a new laptop soon with the money they saved me!

Best Buy initially was uncooperative with respect to the memory card but, after Angie's' List kindly intervened they promised to send a gift card to cover the cost of a new memory card. We did have to purchase another 4 year warranty as replacement of the camera is deemed to satisfy the terms of the first warranty. However, Best Buy applied the $20 price difference between the old and new cameras towards the price of the warranty, so we only ended up paying $20 for a $40 warranty. Not too bad. This situation was resolved thanks to the timely intervention of Angie's List. We are very pleased that Best Buy cooperated once Angie's List became involved.
Description of Work: We purchased a Sony digital camera and 4 year warranty from Best Buy. The camera was repaired twice; the third time they elected to replace it. When they replaced same, they did so with a camera which took an incompatible memory card to the one we had.

I HAVE GONE TO BEST BUY OVER A DOZEN TIMES, AND I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE-EVEN AT CHRISTMAS TIME. THE STORE ALWAYS HAS ENOUGH STAFF WHO ARE EAGER TO ANSWER QUESTIONS, AND HELP OUT. I BOUGHT A WASHING MACHINE/DRYER, AND TELEVISION. THE SALES PERSON EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME. THE DELIVERY COMPANY THAT CAME TO SET UP THE MACHINE WAS TERRIFIC.

THEY WERE SLOW AND UNTRUTHFUL. THEY TOOK OVER A MONTH TO REPAIR MY LAPTOP COMPUTER THAT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. THEIR SALES ASSOCIATES ARE NOT HONEST ABOUT WARRANTIES ON ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS. THIS IS THE THIRD WARRANTY PROBLEM I HAVE HAD WITH THEM ON THREE DIFFERENT PRODUCTS. EACH TIME THEY TRY TO AVOID HONORING THE WARRANTY. WHEN YOU REALLY COMPLAIN LOUDLY, THEN SOMETIMES THEY WILL HONOR THEM. THEIR MANAGEMENT IS AWFUL. IF YOU ASK TO SPEAK TO ONE, YOU ARE ONLY REFERRED BACK TO THEIR COUNTER PERSON. I HAD TO FIND THE MANAGER OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SALES FLOOR BEFORE THEY WOULD SPEAK TO ME. THEN THE PROBLEM WAS HANDLED QUICKLY. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO GO TO THAT EXTREME TO GET SERVICE FOR ITEMS YOU HAVE PAID FOR. I WILL NOT SHOP WITH THEM AGAIN.
Description of Work: THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO SERVICE MY LAPTOP COMPUTER THAT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. IT LOOK OVER A MONTH TO GET IT BACK. THEY WERE HORRIBLE TO WORK WITH. THEIR SALES STAFF WAS NOT TRUTHFUL ABOUT HOW THEIR WARRANTIES WORK. I BOUGHT A GAMEBOY FOR MY SON. I WAS TOLD SPECIFICALLY THAT THE WARRANTY COVERED ACCIDENTAL SCREEN DAMAGE. THAT WAS THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT THE WARRANTY. WHEN WE TOOK IT BACK FOR SERVICE, WE WERE TOLD THAT SCREEN DAMAGE IS NOT COVERED. WHEN WE TRIED TO ARGUE, THEY SAID THAT WE MISUNDERSTOOD THE ASSOCIATE. WE DID NOT MISUNDERSTAND. WE WERE CONVINCED TO PURCHASE THE WARRANTY SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE OF THAT FEATURE. WE WERE MISLEAD. I WILL NOT SHOP WITH THEM AGAIN.
